It helps with relieving sore muscles and pain. You'll feel an amazing endorphin boost afterward they call the cryo smile... it's true I feel a great feeling afterward. I use my HSA card to pay for it. There's great specials and memberships available. I've also tried the cryo facial but like the whole body experience best. I came in today after battling all week with about a level 10 pain scale post hiking with a weight vest. Joshua checked me in quickly and then escorted me to the cryotherapy chambee, gave me socks, shoes and details of the 3 minute treatment. After treatment I left feeling like a new woman! My husband joined and his whole lower half was sore from leg day and an intense hike. We both felt the treatment reduced recovery and lactic acid immediately. Don't take my word for it, do yourself a favor and try it!

Verdict on the signature facial...A-MAZ-ING! Really pretty lobby area, but the facial room was so cozy and beautiful (feminine touches everywhere), with relaxing spa-like music. I have now been a client for 2 years. I am obsessed with the staff, products, and treatments. Every appointment is like a spa day for me. When a treatment doesn't produce the expected results, the least a client should receive is a professional evaluation and a willingness to make things right, not excuses. On top of that, the receptionist consistently had a rude and dismissive attitude. She told me they would not provide any complimentary treatments, even though I never asked for one. All I wanted was to receive the service I had already paid for and have it done correctly. A reputable business stands behind its work and takes responsibility when something doesn't go as planned. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Instead, I was met with poor customer service, a lack of professionalism, and no accountability. For those reasons, I cannot recommend this place

I've been to many spas in NYC, LA, Boston, etc. For me personally, nothing compares to Betty's! The ambiance is welcoming and calming, the prices are reasonable and the team is experienced. I typically get facials and ALWAYS leave feeling over the moon, relaxed and happy. The massage/facial beds are heated and all of products are organic and smell AMAZING so it's kind of like 2 in 1 aromatherapy as you're getting your facial :) They clearly state that the sauna/hot tub is additional on their website, so for the folks griping about that, it's probably best to simply read the info while booking rather than rip them for something that is stated upfront! I never expect to sauna or steam going into a facial service anyways, that just seems like an added perk/not to be expected. I digress.... if you want a perfect self-care day, book at Betty's!

This is standard practice at any SPA, no matter what part of the world you are in. Doesn't matter if you are at the Ritz, Woldorf Astoria, Four Seasons, or a resort in Europe, Asia, or South America. When you go to a spa, you automatically have access to all the spa's amenities. This includes tubs and saunas. There are no spa amenities here. If you are paying premium prices, you would expect a premium experience. Keep looking because you are not going to get that at Betty's Day Spa. To make matters worse, their customer service is horrendous! One would think that, if there is a medical emergency, they would allow you to at the very least reschedule your services. They do not. Thank goodness I do not live here and can go back to my normal masseuse next week.

Friend said that Dermatologist Shelby was incredibly rude and shaming and had actually made her cry during her skin cancer treatment! Despite this, I was desperate for a skin check and scheduled anyway. I ended up having to wait a really long time but was eventually seen. NP Shelby was a little brusque but we both had a history in Tampa and connected over that so she wasn't openly rude to me, although she did push some products on me that, in hindsight, I absolutely did not need. I have also had issues with their billing dept., but in fairness, I would categorize my medical treatment as OK (not stellar, but decent). This was not the case for my daughter, however, who scheduled with NP Shelby after I had been seen. Her experience was very similar to others written about here on Yelp - she showed up for initial appt at the time provided her in a text reminder (20 mins early) and was told she was late by the receptionist. When my daughter tried to explain she had come at exactly the time texted to her, she was rebuffed and rudely informed that her appt time would be pushed back b/c she was "late." They took a $40 co-pay from her nonetheless and directed her to wait. After an hour+, and watching folks who came in after her being taken back ahead of her, she went back to reception to inquire about when she might be seen and was treated rudely again and told basically she'd be seen when she'd be seen. Since they wouldn't give her a clear idea of when she'd be seen, she opted to leave. She was the told that if she did, they would be keeping $25 of her $40 co-payment as a "no-show" fee (even though she had shown up on time and it was on them that she hadn't been seen!). She left anyway. The payment had been made with our Apple Pay credit card and I fought the charge and eventually had the full $40 amount refunded. F them if they think they're getting a dime from us for that appt after treating my daughter like sh*t. So... While my own experience wasn't awful, (tho I also wouldn't call it very good), based on my friend's and my daughter's experience, it does seem like an office full of unhappy, mean-spirited folks who get off on exercising the tiny bit of power they have in ways that are unnecessarily unkind and punitive. Long story short, I would avoid using them if you have any other options.

This seems typical, as they have a notice in the lobby that you may be seen up to an hour later than your scheduled appt time. I thought this was odd. When I was taken back, I was not talked to or examined. In fact, before the assistant let me sit down she had me lift my dress and point to my concern areas what she took pictures on her tablet, then left the room. That felt intrusive and quite cold. When Dr. Shelby came in, she had me do the same thing, lift my dress and point. This was the extent of my examination. No verbal inquiry was done, no history taken, no blood pressure or weight taken, and I was never touched. I felt like an animal being pushed through some bizarre maze. I felt like a contagion, although what I was seeking treatment for is not contagious. I was never asked if I had any other dermatological concerns over the one thing they chose to focus on, and I had preplanned questions, but she was so brusque, to the point of rude, and in the end was not given a chance to ask the things I wanted to. It was all very chaotic the whole time I was in the back,she did not spend time with me, or ask me any questions about myself or the reason for my visit. Instead, she was directing her staff and how they should fill out paperwork they were sending me off with. She asked me my average BP rather than taking it. She wanted me to buy a special soap and when I asked for her to prescribe it, she stated it is only like $7 at the store. She may know her stuff, but this was the strangest Dr. Appt. I have ever had. I did not feel heard or seen, and honestly, I just felt like I was a diagnosis to her. I resigned myself that I would find someone who could at least be bothered to properly examine me and treat me like a person with real health conerns.

Her new place is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. My face has seen a lot of improvement from her personalized facials and the chemical peels. She is always nice and is willing to talk to me about what different things I can try on my face. I've also brought my 12 year old daughter to Nicole for facials and she now loves to come too and is seeing improvement in her complexion as well.
