Did not like my service for eye brow waxing, don't think she had experience how to wax and shape eye brow. I do give her credit that she had great personality. During my visit I was given a bulky mirror to see my results which the mirror was a short mirror that had a stand to it. Also lady at front desk and booking over the phone she was nice. I am in love with the atmosphere at the Brazilian Waxing Boutique!! A very clean and girly vibe. I have been waxed by several of the girls but Joella has to be my favorite. She's very soft spoken and sweet. I feel like she always takes her time on me. A Brazilian Wax takes about 15 min, but I never fell like the process is rushed. I just received an email from Jennifer Chavez, the business owner of this salon, informing me that her hours are actually 10 - 6 pm Monday thru Friday. I let Jennifer know that when I called her salon on June 15 - a Tuesday, I was told by one of her employees that the salon closed at 3 that day and everyday. So either her employee made a terrible mistake, or they changed their hours since 6/15. Either way, I got bad customer service here. End of story. Also, I love getting emails from business owners. LOVE IT. I think it's great that owners take an interest in what their customers say. However, Jennifer's email was... not great... She defends herself and her salon (which is fine), but she makes it clear to me that she's hostile about my poor review - she tells me I need to get my info right (twice) before I wright a review and that I need to check out googlemap reviews because lots of people disagree with me. Then she offers me a free Brazilian, which is appreciated, but why would I come in and get a Brazilian bikini wax from someone who sent me a less than friendly email? All she needed to say in her email was "sorry you had a bad experience with us. I'd love to fix this - come in and get a free wax and see how good we are and why we only need 15 minutes with you and your body hair. Ask for me directly." That would have been awesome customer service. Instead I got hostility. I don't let angry people in my bikini area. That's a happy people only zone. read more

You have to try everything once before you can form a solid opinion. That being said I HIGHLY recommend BWB to anyone who is thinking about waxing your lady bits. From the receptionist to the aesthetician (whose name I don't remember ) the entire experience was exactly how they explained it would be. Is there pain? I love this place!!! Been coming here for a while. I feel comfortable coming to this place, because they clean between each customer and only you and the aesthetician are allowed in the building. You do wait outside until your appointment time comes up. I don't mind it because they are trying to be safe and it gives me peace of mind. I've been to multiple salons, from the Bay Area to Portland to Albuquerque. BWB has BY FAR provided me with BEST experiences EVER. I don't know how they do it, but true to their word, their waxing technique is PAINLESS. I still felt the pressure from the waxing strip being removed, but it was PAINLESS. On top of being PAINLESS, every waxer I've had were super friendly and efficient. I appreciate their efficiency since getting waxed is not the most relaxing/comfortable experience =] Each room is very clean, cutely decorated, and offers maximum privacy! One thing to be aware of is that the entrance into the parking lot is VERY steep, so make sure you slow down (more than usual) before entering. Also, the parking lot is small. I typically never had an issue with parking, but one time it was full, so I had to park along the street. I've recently moved to Houston, and am so sad that I will probably not find another salon that will beat BWB! read more

I went to the east side location the other day based on the referral of a good friend who comes to BWB a lot. I was pleasantly surprised at how professional, fast and clean they were. They do not double dip their sticks, and the waxing specialist was very knowledgeable and friendly. The place is nicely decorated (very girly) and the front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable as well. I was pleased with the results and would come back. I was most worried about the pain.. so I took a few Ibuprofens, and it really didn't hurt bad at all (not even close to wax's I've had other places). This was my first visit to Brazilian Waxing Boutique. I've been to other waxing places before. I was in need of a wax ASAP and was recommended to BWB. The wax was typical of what you'd expect from a Brazilian. However, unlike other places I've been waxed at, my wax was not thorough. The result was I still had to go home a remove what was left (I mean long hairs, not hairs in the middle of the growth cycle) which for $48 shouldn't be the case. I believe this is because this boutique uses "speed waxing" where appointments are only 15 minutes, if that. Conclusion: I had high hopes for this place but I've had a much more thorough Brazilian at other places for a lower price. Shop around before you decide to go here. read more

I rated as 4 stars before because of the experience I had and witnessed with the receptionist, and how she treated other customers. The owner contacted me and I was really impressed with her customer service. I have gone a couple times since my last review, and the receptionist no longer seems rushed or like she doesn't have time for the customers. I have had a different waxer each time, and the thoroughness varies, I do still pluck some strays when I go home. They seem to take 10 minutes max for a wax. Spending 15 and being more thorough would make me inclined to leave a bigger tip. read more

Made an appointment the day of and the polite receptionist scheduled me for a 2:30 Brazilian wax. Brilliant. When I arrived at 2:20 I barely even sat down in the waiting area before my esthetician Joslin (I could be wrong about her name... But lovely girl!) took me into the back. My only qualm would be that after you drop your knickers you are lying on the table completely nakey from the waist down until the esthetician returns. A small hand towel to cover the lady bits would be much nicer and comfortable. My results were absolutely incredible! Like a baby's bottom down there. In all it also probably only took around 15 minutes. I already scheduled a brow and lash tint, so I'm hoping those services go just as smoothly as my first. read more

I am in awe! I've never gotten any sort of Brazilian or bikini wax before, but decided Valentine's Day was the perfect opportunity for my first, and I can't be more glad I came here. I was waxed by Mystery, who was absolutely wonderful. She made me feel at ease immediately, and the actual wax was extremely fast and not nearly as painful as I expected - in fact, I walked out completely pain-free and feeling more confident than ever. Always fast and professional!

I've gotten waxes here several times. True to their word, they are insanely quick and dirt cheap compared to other salons. In fact, at a recent appointment they were training new employees due to moving to a larger location and I was offered a wax for $25 instead of the normal $35! The decor is very cute (purple walls, black-and-white damask furniture, fairy lights) and the rooms are impeccably clean. All the waxers are friendly and chatty (but not overly so). The only issues I've had is that they do sometimes leave a few stray hairs behind. But I don't mind plucking them out myself rather than paying $30 more for a slightly more thorough wax. read more

I have mixed emotions about this place but mainly due to their sudden need to "not guarantee requests". Being that a Brazilian wax is intimate and can be quite painful it should be understood that not every client doesn't mind a new esthetician each time. I have had bad and painful waxes here before and that is why I like to request. When I called to book my most recent appointment and the employee seemed aggravated when I asked to be called if my request couldn't be accommodated as I did not want to keep the appointment. She spoke in a condescending manner and it was not appreciated whatsoever. This is the second to third time I have had a bad experience w the reception at this particular location. The only reason I keep coming here is due to convenience and the fact that I have an esthetician here that does her job w little to no pain. read more

Always a super quick and comfortable Brazilian and underarm wax. The staff is always professional and the facility is very clean. I went here regularly while I was living in ABQ, but I just recently moved about 3hrs away and haven't found a place as clean or professional as this place.
