The owner has not followed through or responded to my text regarding the draperies from Hunter Douglas that we paid top dollars for and has not been replaced on my sliding glass door. I have left numerous messages . It looks like the only option at this point is legal action. read more

Horrible (non)service from this business. I called them based on the retailers listing off the HunterDouglas site. Spoke to Amanda, a nice lady who proceeded to schedule an in home consultation with Nadine.. Nadine showed up on date of schedule. We tried to show and explain to her what we wanted done. But she would not listen. We said 4 times we wanted the whole house done, except 2 windows. Pointed to them each time. Each time she kept going to such windows to start measuring, addressing them. She didn't bring samples of what she thought we should use. Told us to come to the showroom the following week when she's there. We went to the show room the day she'd told us, only to see her walking out.... "something came up, I gotta go" was all she saId. We stayed and picked out some drapes we liked, with the help of a couple nice ladies who worked in the office. They said they would record what we liked, and tell Nadine to follow up. Over 2 weeks now and not a word from Nadine. read more

We ordered our blinds in late August. They came a month later but one didn't fit. I was told this blind would come in a week or two. After the next couple months of trying to contact this company I cannot get any response. I chose Moniques Draperies because I got good vibes from Caroline and felt comfortable in ordering what we wanted. But after the order and she took out money it's been a complete disaster after that. Extremely disappointed. Especially considering Moniques wasn't even close to the lowest price. read more

My experience with Monique's was great - I purchased a battery-operated skylight blind. I had only one contact at the store, Jaye, from beginning to end, which I feel made the process much smoother. She came to my home multiple times, was very knowledgeable, and made sure she helped me get exactly the right product. It took longer than expected to finally receive the skylight blind, due to unforeseen complications from the manufacturer, but Jaye made sure to keep me updated on the progress the entire time. It was frustrating having to wait, but because I felt I was in good hands, I didn't panic. Another plus was not having to deal directly with the manufacturer. In the end the product is a perfect fit, and I will do business with Monique's again. read more

Ordered drapes through the owner Carolyn. We had issues with the rod so twice it had to be replaced. Communications with her were difficult. When our drapes were placed the final time, shortly after, something fell off the rod. I called and texted her- no response. Luckily I had her installers info so I contacted him and he graciously came and fixed it to the best he could at no charge. A few weeks later, the end piece of the rod came off and so did some of the drapes from its track. Again I reached out to her and no response. The installer told me that it could not be permanently fixed until she orders a specific part. Now we are stuck with a broken rod and track and she's nowhere to be found. She has no interpersonal skills and in general has a bad attitude. No follow through, unprofessional, and irresponsible. Once she gets your money, she's out and you can't go to her place of business now because she closed it down and is working out of her house. read more

Great experience beginning to end! We had pet-friendly roller shades installed in our home and could not be happier with the results. Caroline S. showed us many samples in the store and walked us through the process from choice to installation. Once we'd picked our colors she came to our home and took measurements. In less than 4 weeks we had 14 custom shades built, then installed by the magnificent Steve C. He was personable, friendly and fast... even re-attaching wood valances (to studs) that our contractor had not previously done. Steve arrived replaced our existing mini blinds with our new shades; removed the old blinds and debris from our home in approx. 2 hours. WOW! Reasonable pricing, custom product, great installation, terrific customer service, from nice people. Highly recommend giving this company your business. read more

We went to Monique draperies to explore window treatment options for our family room and kitchen. We were assisted by Pat who seemed helpful and knowledgeable. She confirmed that she will visit our home to take measurements. Come the appointment day and time, there is no sign of Pat! After waiting for an hour when we called her "cell phone" listed on her visiting card, it turns out to be the store phone answered by another store employee who takes down our name and phone number and tells us Pat is not in the store but she does not see our name on her schedule. I understand things can get mixed up but no one called us back till date to update/apologize for the mix up! Anyway, it ended up being a blessing in disguise because we found even better draperies and window treatment options at JC Penny at one third the price! read more

We needed a shade for a window that is above our curved staircase. It is high and awkward to get to that window. I called Monique's Draperies, and Pat Knowles came out to our home,and recommended a shade with a remote, so that we could easily lower or raise the shade as needed. It was a real pleasure to work with Pat. She was very knowledgeable, professional and personable. Pat recommended Steve to measure and then install the shade when it was ready. This review is written in hopes that future customers get better service. That said, we must report our exhausting experience with the company. Mother ordered drapes which took over a year to satisfactorily install. A quick review: Jan 2014, Monique recommended a particular fabric for custom drapes. Mother agreed. Mar 2014, drapes were installed but puckered. On their representation that the drapes would relax over time, mother paid the balance of the nearly 12 thousand dollars. Over time, the drapes did not relax. July 2014, Monique agreed that drapes needed to be redone with different fabric. July 2014 through Jan 2015, nothing was done until repeated demand for specific performance. February 2015, after 13 months, the drapes were finally installed. Lesson learned ....don't pay the balance until you receive satisfactory product and service. read more

We used Monique's for custom drapes for our new home. We were happy with the quality of the product but they really lacked in the follow-through. Deliveries were not as promised or as scheduled, additional parts had to be ordered with great delay and there was little to no communication from them. We had to constantly be on top of them for information. Which is something with you should not have to do when you pay top dollar for a service (they were the most expensive company we researched). read more

My parents have used Monique's for years. When we needed shutters for our vacation home, we went to check them out. Carolyn helped us and came to our home to do measurements. We did comparisons for pricing and Monique's prices were very competitive. The shutters were installed ahead of schedule and they look great! We can't be happier. I got some shades and draperies at Monique's and am very happy with them and with the service I received. Nadine was awesome and so patient while I waded through sample after sample after sample. Joe and Steve, the installers, were also great, making sure I was absolutely satisfied with their installation. Acting on a recommendation, I spent all of 3 minutes in Monique's before leaving. The woman I spoke to was unhelpful, discourteous, and argumentative, all because I mentioned I was working with a designer. She kept insisting that most people come to the store with their designers. No matter how many times I reiterated that I was here **by myself** to look at some Hunter Douglas offerings, she kept repeating herself like a broken record and showed no interest in showing me anything without my designer. I felt entirely unwelcome in this store. I'll never set foot in this place again. read more

What a great group of people. From the moment I walked into the store they were very friendly, helpful and professionals. The shades of one of my clients was not working properly. Apparently one of my employees had damaged the mechanism that pools the shades up and down. I took them to Monique's and within minutes they were able to locate the information of my client, who purchased the shades 3 years ago. They new exactly the type of shades they were, the dimensions and the manufacture. I did explain the situation and they offer to help, send the shades to the manufacture for repair and the best thing was ... Free of charge. I was pleasantly surprise by that because very few people or companies will do that now a days ... specially after 3 years. To make the story short 5 days later they called me let me know that the shades where back at the store. I took the shades, installed them back and my client is happy. Next time I need Drapes or Shades my first stop will be Monique's. Great job at keeping records, keeping current clients happy and impressing possible clients with great customer service. I ordered vertical blinds which were installed by Moniques in 2014. The vertical slats fall down and need replacing so I've had them come out and install the replacement blinds. The gentleman that replaces the blinds does a good job however it is very difficult to contact Moniques. I've called, emailed and called again to re-order some vertical blinds but no one answers. Sometimes I get hung up on and when they pick up the phone the customer service representative is unable to facilitate a re-order. It is a very frustrating customer service experience when working with Moniques. read more
