I have been going to Nicolette for last 3 years and recently decided to go much lighter than before. I showed her a picture and she promised to be able to do it in 3-4 sessions. Doing the math, each time I go to her I spend $175-$200 only for highlights. No cut or blow dry. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, it was my baby shower and I made an appointment for my 5th session, mind you, I was no where near the lightness that she had promised in 3-4 sessions. She tells me 3 hours, so I plan out my day for 3 hours. She never keeps her word and keeps me for 5 hours. This time I really only had the 3 hours allotted. Long story short, not only did she completely fry my hair, instead of a ash blonde, I am now a brassy Orange!!! And it's my baby shower!!! The most important thing I always stress to her is not to get me brassy. Her knowledge of product and color is very poor. I would stay away from her at all cost. But what left me no choice but to write this review was her poor attitude and extremely bad customer service. She can't take constructive criticism, I contemplated letting her know how bad she damaged my hair and that I was unhappy, but my husband pushed me to text her so I finally did, and sure enough instead of her being apologetic and understanding, she lashed out at me. I will be posting a screen shot of her insensitive and rude text back to me. Because of her response and her insensitive and rude text, I am now requesting a full refund of my recent transaction. She fried my hair, now I have to chop at least 3 inches and to top it off she's so disgustingly rude! Stay away from this salon and Nicolette at all cost! I was really excited to finally get my hair done since it's been a year since my last hairdo. I booked an appointment with Lisa Koh and she was so sweet. She booked an appointment with me at 9:00am even though she doesn't do Groupon deals on weekends. I bought a Groupon deal for a hair cut, full highlights, and deep conditioning for $55. However, I still ended up paying extra because my hair is long, which cost $40 more and $30 more for lighter highlights. Personally, I don't think the extra cost for highlights was fair, considering highlights should already be light, so why charge more to go lighter. Anyways, Lisa Koh was genuinely sweet, hilarious, and a wise woman. I like her a lot. She's such a great person to talk to. However, I was disappointed in the end result of my new do. I feel as if I paid all that money to get a hair cut I'm only okay with and a balayage that looked no different from my old hairdo. I'm a little disheartened because every time I go somewhere to get my hair done, albeit paying $200+ for a renowned place or using a Groupon for an unknown place, my hair never comes out how I want it. I am loving my new hair! I just had a haircut less than two months ago but it was rather dull. Seriously, it was the exact same haircut...just three inches less. I have been going to Joanna for a couple of year now and I am never disappointed. She has taken me from a dark chestnut brown to a light ombré blond. Anyone who has dark hair knows how hard it is to go lighter but Joanna always gets it done. She has done several techniques on my hair and uses only the best products to make my hair look/feel healthy and smooth. She also gives great haircuts(doesn't get scissor happy like most stylist) and amazing blow outs!! She is honestly the sweetest person ever plus she gives the most amazing shampoos and throws in a little massage. I was extremely happy with my most recent visit. I came in with a picture to use as an example for the hair color I wanted and Joanna matched it perfectly! After she styled my hair it lasted well into the next day. She suggested some products and told me to use sulfate-free shampoo to help keep my color. I got tons of compliments from everyone when they saw my new hair. This review is for Lisa Koh. I never received a service from her because I walked out before we even got started. I imagine that she is running a Groupon in order to drum up business and gouging customers is not the way to do it! Firstly I found it strange that the number provided on her Groupon is a cell phone without a personalized voicemail. I would imagine if you are running a promotion and a business you would have a voicemail indicating to your clients that they called the right place. Nevertheless, I left a message. When we first spoke, she informs me in a not so friendly manner that long hair and thick hair would require an upcharge. I told her my hair was past my shoulders but was definitely not thick- it's quite thin since I've had kids. I arrived to the salon and sat in the chair. She proceeds to inform me that there would be a $40 charge because my hair was long AND thick. My hair when pulled into a pony tail is about 1/2"-3/4" in diameter at the rubber band. We went back and forth and I thought to myself- ok you're here. But already I had a bad taste in my mouth. The kicker was she told me it would be another $40 for toner. So I paid $65 for the Groupon, and another $80 in charges?! I've never paid for toner as a separate charge. At that point I decided to leave. If I was going to drop almost $200 with a tip- it wasn't going to be on her. I wasn't getting any kind of a deal. And needless to say, I do not recommend this stylist or her Groupon- unless you have three hairs on your head that are 3" long you might save some $. read more

I've been going to this Salon since back when it was GK Salon! Karen J has been doing my hair since the mid-1980s. Yes..through perms, all different hair lengths and now keeping the gray at bay, although I am sporting a natural gray streak in the front that I love. I can sit in her chair and say do whatever it needs or whatever you feel like and because she knows me and my hair so well, I don't have to worry at all. I always get compliments on my color and cut. Karen J is The Best!!! Now, I also see Diane Marie for my facials. She's been taking care of my skin for years and years and it's just like with Karen J above. I lie down and say do what my skin needs and there is complete trust in her skills and knowledge. Diane Marie is constantly upgrading her skills, obtaining additional certifications to offer all kinds of treatments, and now eyebrow microblading and eyelash lifts. She is so meticulous, professional and friendly. Monique's is very lucky to have these two ladies with them. I must give a special shout out to Jessica. I feel I'm a bit high maintenance about how I need to do my appointments and she just works it out with me without issue. Thank you girl. I have been coming to this salon for several years and have only ever gone to Zulfiya for waxing (eyebrow and Brazilian). Zulfiya is by far the BEST. I have also seen her for facials and she just goes above and beyond. She is fast and extremely friendly and easy to talk to. I feel 100% comfortable with her for my Brazilians. She gets the Brazilian done in less than 10 minutes (which is important, the less time in pain the better!). Her eyebrow waxes are simply incredible. She is very conscious of the way eyebrows shape the face and does a perfect job. She also sells these universal eyebrow pencils that I swear by. The prices are industry standard (or maybe a little less!) at $35 for a brazilian and $20 for brows. My facial was about $100... You should go here for waxes and see Zulfiya. She is the best. Worst experience ever!! They are liars and greedy. I found them on Groupon and wanted to purchase a highlight deal which is $68. I contacted Lisa and I explained to her my hair is virgin, full and medium size. She said don't buy the deal online (probably because she didn't want to pay anything to Groupon!!) I went to the hair salon which looked nice and I got fooled. When Lisa saw my hair all of the sudden she said it costs me $210 because my hair is so dense. I was recommended by my boss to come to nicollette but i was being a cheap a$$ and went to someone else. Long story short, i went to some cheap spot and got my virgin hair bleached 7 times because she kept messing up, tried to fix it with someone else, and then tried fixing it myself. $350 later, i went to nicollette to perform a miracle. She did my hair and was amazed on how she saved it. I should have come to her first from the very beginning. This review is based solely on Tomi-Jo. If I could give 100 stars I would!!! I was introduced to Tomi Jo about 3.5 years ago through a good friend of mine who was lucky enough to find her first! For years my fine, curly, yet stringy hair had been so over processed and needed some very long overdue TLC. Tomi-Jo was just what the doctor ordered. From the second I sat in her chair, I Immediately knew she was different. I had been trying to grow my hair out for years unsuccessfully. She gave me advice on how I could get my hair healthier and helped me developed what I like to call my "healthy hair plan". Over the next few years, she didn't process it nearly as much and added in several colors to achieve a look that made my hair look fuller and healthier. She also rarely used bleach which had been the major culprit of my undesirable hair for years! Aside from being a wonderful hair stylist, she has also become a friend. I look forward to getting my hair done and it's not such a "chore". After I got engaged, Tomi-Jo helped me again (as she always does) with a new wedding hair plan. I had appointments set with her in the few months leading up to the wedding to make sure we achieved the desired color, thickness and cut for the big day. On April 2 I got married to the love of my life and Tomi-Jo was there to help me and all my bridesmaids, flower girl, officiant and mothers get ready. Tomi Jo started bright and early with me at 630am so she could dry and roll my hair. From 630-430 she was non stop! She achieved all the desired hairstyles for the many different women (12 in total) based upon photos or ideas. I found the Monique Salon on the Groupon. I have a lot of hair what is also thick and long. My hair is light brown and I wanted more light/blonde. I knew it this is more than one time process so I was asking my hairdresser Lisa koh, when we can do it the next time because I don't want to ruin my hair. She said anytime but I thought about 2months is gonna be. At the next appointment I told to her I know my hair not gonna be that blonde what I would like so just try your best!
