She was busy because she seems to be a popular choice for customers. She did a fine job since we initially asked to only use scissors, no razor, but it ended up a little choppy. Nevertheless, she was very welcoming and did great with my son! I think Tara is excellent with making kids feel comfortable, especially as a newbie. We went back for a fix & they gladly allowed us to do a remake, within the hour. They placed us with the next available who was Ariana. She was amazing! She explained what what type of cut would work for our son's fine hair. We used the razor this 2nd time, and his hair looked better. Before we left, another stylist mentioned an area of my son's hair was not even, so we went back for the 3rd time. I requested for Ariana because she is just wonderful & she fixed every little detail. Ariana took her time to make us, the parents, feel happy & comfortable with our son's first new hairstyle. Brought my 3 kids here on one day for the first time and it was a great experience. A little pricey but nonetheless we were very pleased. the atmosphere is very kid friendly with a jungle theme and they really invested time and effort in having personal tvs for each chair. Some of the chairs were airplanes and jeeps. the kids loved them. We have boy/girl twins (3 years old) and a 1 year old boy. The older boy got a regular boy haircut and he looked very snazzy at the end. I appreciated the girl's patience with him (he likes to move around a lot). My 1 year old boy also got a haircut and we were very pleased on how it came out. He sat in his little airplane and enjoyed himself, we think. We were most impressed with the hairstylist and what she did with our little girl. My wife had spent 20 minutes that morning doing her hair real nice and we really weren't planning on doing anything with her hair that day. But we wanted her to not feel left out so we asked if we could have somebody just style it different. We ended up loving what she did. it was 2 close braids and she topped it off with a nice glitter. My baby girl felt like a princess and I was very appreciative. At one point, the twins wanted to visit the restroom and they loved that the monkey, jungle theme didn't just stop in the front of the shop. Everything from the soap to the toilet paper dispenser was themed the same and you could tell my kids loved it. Usually i take my boys to a barber and my wife takes my little girl to a salon but we were able to do it all here, in one stop. We loved that. We'll be back. We are aware that extremely curly hair is hard to cut and especially in children, but if you are not experienced with cutting curly hair then please say something so that we have the choice to continue or not. Our stylist was great and the haircut was great, but the (owner?) Was not. My 1 year old was touching the door, while waiting, which was secured by a lock. She yells across the salon, "WHO'S IS THIS?! Stop him! He can't slam the door like that!!!". The door wasn't moving.... It was locked. Other parents were staring and she scared my baby! We were regular customers, but we aren't coming back after that. It's a baby/toddler/haircut place! How are you going to yell at a baby for doing what babies do in a CHILDREN'S SALON?! I decided to take my 5 year old son there today and I am very disappointed. When I got there no one greeted me. Then they let me know there would be a 30 min wait. I decided to wait even though it was crowded and no chairs left. It's a small place. It was my first time going there and it looked nice. But don't fall for it. They did the worst job ever. They missed some hairs and it was pretty uneven. On top of that when I got home I noticed that the woman cut him behind his ear with the clipper. No one has ever cut him. They have always been very careful and detailed with him. Plus the women wasn't joyful for friendly with him. She hardly spoke to him. Not worth $22. Overall it was a bad experience. I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews but decided to give them a try for my twin 2 year old boys first haircuts. I called around 11 am on a Saturday to see if they had availability for just as I mentioned above. Without hesitation they were able to schedule an appointment for 1 pm same day. We arrived around 15 minutes early and were welcomed and excited. All the other children seemed happy and looked good. We selected the first time hair cut certificate with a lock of their hair package for $2 more. The stylist was professional and accommodating to their hesitancy. They looked great when finished. Likely my fault because I don't take them often enough, but we decided to give this place a shot since they are completely kid-friendly and I figured my screaming kids might not be the only ones. Sylvia cut both of their hair and I literally had to hold them down while they screamed the entire time, but she didn't even flinch! She handled it like a pro, was super patient, and gave them actual hairstyles which they usually don't get because they wiggle and scream so much.
