My spares don't work. OK, to be fair, only one completely doesn't work. One must have been cut too thick, because it barely squeezes into the lock and it takes a huge effort to get it to turn, but it will eventually open the door. The other key seems to have the opposite problem -- it fits into the lock but isn't thick/heavy enough to work, so that made for a fun morning being locked out of my building for 10 minutes before finally just buzzing an apartment to be let in (and let me tell you, people love being woken up at 7am to buzz you in). I realize I am in the minority here and my review may get flagged as everyone seems to love this place, but I will certainly never waste $5 here again. read more

Such a cute locksmith shop. Ok cute isn't normally an adjective that ties to locksmiths but this place definitely was. Even though it was no bigger than a closet, this place packed a punch. The walls were covered with keys, locks, keypads, security cables, hooks and screws - pretty much if it had anything to with a lock and key this place had it. The guy behind the counter promptly came out from his corner to greet us as soon as he heard us come through the front door. He was able to glance at our key, give us an estimate and have our new key cut and we were out the door in less than 5 minutes. All with a smile and a few jokes tossed in. And for $2.50 for a brand new key (that works perfectly!) it is such a steal I feel a bit guilty about it! Btw.. what an awesome name! read more

Rip off artists. Find another locksmith. Our coop management company called them to change the lock on my mailbox. I spoke to Jeff on the phone to schedule the appointment Thursday. He refused to quote me a price or give me any indication of cost but said he had a deal with the management company. We schedule an appointment for Monday 9:30 am. On Monday, I call at 9:56am and he clearly forgot about me. Then he says he'll have a guy over in 30 minutes. Around 10:30 the guy shows up, spends 4 minutes swapping out the lock and yesterday, I get a bill for $136. I call Jeff and tell him it's an unreasonable price and that it's sketchy he wouldn't quote me a price initially when I asked. He yells at me that he doesn't deal with customers and he doesn't care if I feel cheated by his business. If you decide to use him, good luck. Better off taking your business anywhere else. read more

Cheap and fast service. Came here to get all my keys done since there was almost no line when I came and the guy did the keys quickly. But I must say that the customer service wasn't too stellar. The guy did get the job done but I always felt I was more of an inconvenience than a customer. Also, sometimes the spares he made didn't work and I had to come back to get them readjusted. I went almost every where during the covid 19 lockdown and could not find one place that would copy a motorcycle key for me. Went into MonKeys and got it done with NO problems even got a deal on a lock that retails for almost 200 dollars in other stores and wasn't charged extra for using credit instead of cash like other stores will do.
