I had been using this location for my oil changes and small repairs for years. Service supervisor was very good and trustworthy. New supervisor started. Took my 18 year old car in for a scheduled LOF. I informed him that there's an issue with my oil pan drain plug, and it may need a little more TLC than normal. (The old supervisor knew about it, and it was never an issue). Now my car needs $3500 worth of undercarriage repairs before they can do the oil change?!? But I've been approved for $3000 through some customer care program...no thank you. I took my car elsewhere and had the LOF done with no problems. I WON'T ever be going back there again. Ladies, be warned. I thought this type of crap went out in the 80's. I understand the upsell attempt, but come on, FFS. Nice try. read more

Made an appointment for a slow leak in my tire. Showed up, was greeted in a friendly manner with smiling faces, and they fixed my leak in 10 minutes. Not only that, but they wouldn't charge me for the visit. Tipped them 20 bucks to buy lunch for tomorrow lol, but it just goes to show there's good old school companies around to work with nowadays! Went in to get lights replaced and oil change and asked Jonathan at the desk to have mechanic look at my wipers, they had broken and Jack Williams on Stefko told me would be $740 to fix it motor broke and assembly. Come to find out was simply a plastic bolt came undone. Go to Monro not jack williams. read more

I was asked to come in early and made it 10 minutes early only to have to wait twenty minutes to be waited on. Then I was told it was going to take at least an hour past my appointment time to get me in. I decided to walk to the gym in the meantime. After an hour and minutes past my appointment time, I received a call from the technician asking me 3 separate questions, if my truck had a club cab, a long bed, and then a heavy duty suspension. I ask if my truck was in front of him and he replied yes. I answered the first 2 questions, but by the third it was apparent that he had no clue what he was doing. I told him not do anything because if he can't identify basic features on a truck, I didn't have confidence in his ability to do a wheel alignment. Update: finally leaving town after a year living here. Commuted to NYC frequently so had reason to stop in to this Monro 4-5 times (brakes, tires, oil, etc) and gotta say they're one of the more honest shops I've ever dealt with living all around the country. read more

I trust this place with my life. I have an uncle that's a mechanic and I'd bypass the family discount and shotty work for the professional and consistent service provided by this fine establishment. I have taken my car there for 90% of work needed on my car. The 10% i took it elsewhere i regretted and learned that i have a great Mechanic. They take really good care of us! read more

Can't say enough good things about this place. My girlfriend and I trust this place more than any other. Star Car Preowned was giving me a lot of problems with a car I had just purchased, a lot of run around and wanting to charge me for everything, so I took it to Monroe to get an opinion I trust. They charged me nothing and gave me an answer almost right away. They've helped my girlfriend out with fuse problems for free and have always been very informative and never talk down to you. read more

Wow. I must say this place is awesome. Brought in my 2004 Honda with a broken motor mount. Couldnt ask for a more informative, honest, and helpful staff. Not only did they not charge me to look under the hood. Which other places were charging me $100. They were able to fix the problem and me give some really good advice on some other problem areas. This place is wonderful!! My family and I have been coming here for 10+ years and I am always extremely happy with the service here. They are friendly, efficient, honest, and always get the job done for a very reasonable price. Several times I've come here after being quoted prices from other places and been surprised to hear that I didn't need certain things changed on my car or that a different place had charged way too much.
