Did not fill out inspection as they were supposed to. At first wanted to charge for rotation which is part of their coupon. Agreed to do it. When I picked car up they said could not rotate tires because rear tires bad on a front wheel drive vehicle??? Only 17,000 miles had them checked nothing wrong just didn't want to do rotation. Checked with BBB they had 277 complaints in the last 12 months. BE WARNED. read more

Ok well I was just told legally they can't rotate my tires because it's AWD. Only option is to buy new tires ‍ Tires had ratings of 9s and 7s both in the "green". Also told to just go on line to buy tires, didn't even offer to sell me new ones. read more

I was unable to get into my usual mechanic so I stopped in here to have my brakes looked at because they wouldn't give me a ball park idea over the phone. I was given an estimate of $1200. I wish I still had the quote to post a picture because I was really caught off guard. I went elsewhere and was able to replace them for the usual cost. I looked into the estimate and of course, every part was double the normal retail value. There were also several services listed that didn't need to be done. It was stereotypical: two men blatantly pushing to make a sale off of a young female, attempting to make me feel ignorant and incompetent when I questioned them or wasn't interested. $1200 for brakes. I don't really post reviews because I don't care enough to go out of my way, but hopefully this is useful information to save someone a trip. read more

Worst customer service I have ever received! They had my vehicle for 15 days and never called me to give me status updates, I had to call them once a week to find out about my car. I also asked them to give me a quote BEFORE they did the work. I called today to find out the car had been serviced (I don't know when) and that I could come pick it up; I have no idea how long it was just sitting there. I was a loyal Monro customer for over 15 years (in a different state) and wanted to continue that relationship with Monro, but after this fiasco, I will never take any of my vehicles to this Jenison location! read more

What a great experience! I walked in expecting to get an alignment and be in and out. Instead, the guys working here all took the time to truly look my car over from top to bottom and inform me of what needed repairs. While this would typically turn me away from a repair shop, Monro's garage staff explained each step to me and informed me of what was truly necessary, what would be helpful, and what was simply routine. At no point did I feel they were after money and I felt cared for through the entire experience. Although we only completed an oil change today, I left with the information needed to do some repairs at home and plan to return for an alignment after repairs are done. Without a doubt, this will be where I go for all repairs, oil changes, and any other car related concerns while living in Grand Rapids. They were friendly and helpful. They understood my needs. I had thought I just needed an alignment. But it turns out that I needed the front end drivers side tyrod replaced. The invoice for their services including the $20 off the alignment was going to cost $476. I wasn't expecting that price and I told them that I could do it anyway but they insisted on taking off the Michigan state taxes. And that the service would take 2 Hours. My original appointment was at 9. As they got everything done, it had only taken an hour and a half. I swiped my debit card and it showed a charge of $297.52. The manager stated that they were there to help in any way that they could. I am definitely going back to them for future maintenance repairs! read more

Very satisfied with the costumer service here and the quick service! Had a tire sensor light that wouldn't go away so I took it in for a replacement. When the one sensor caused the back two sensors to stop computing with the others they didn't charge me a dime, as the light was still on. I came in about a week later and got the back two replaced at a discount! The other tire shops quoted me 150 dollars for EACH sensor. Monroe gave me 3 brand new ones for that price. Definitely the place to go to find the best prices, great service, and quick repairs. read more

I took my truck in to have the tires rotated because I had gotten them at a Monro Tire in Pennsylvania and Munro gives you free rotations. I always take my vehicles to Rosewood Auto. The guy calls me and tells me I need brakes all around and it'll be $1330. The brakes are fine. I tell him to do the oil change and I'll be in to pick it up. I get there and there is a guy outside I say how's it going, he responds I was better before I came here indicating he just got dinged for a pretty big repair bill...the guy inside gives me a bill for $65 for an oil change and FREE tire rotation, I'm already hot so he drops it down to $50. Summary stay away from them go to Rosewood Auto, they only fix what needs to be fixed, they do the job right and their pricing is very reasonable. They've even done some minor things for us for free...don't trust Munro! I dealt with this type of con jobs in TC for 20 years and was so thankful to find an honest repair shop in Rosewood. Don't get taken advantage of by Munro! read more

I feel like it's hard to find an honest place to take your car nowadays but monro auto service really blew me away with their amazing customer service and the great care that they showed me. Even for something as simple as an oil change, you can trust this place to get you in and out fast and even throw in a quick full inspection of your vehicle for you so you know how your car is holding up. Tried selling me a battery after draining it all night leaving interior lights on. District agreed to charge the battery, leaving my car another night. The next day, they still recommended a battery. Problem is, I had the battery checked by Advanced Auto Parts on 4/22 and have the print out that battery tests fine but needs to be charged. I have also not had a problem with the battery driving it there or them pulling it into the shop bay. On 5/6 Monro's print out shows higher voltage and CCA but recommends replacement rather than recharging longer. I asked Angela to explain why there is a difference here in replacement recommendation, in case there was something I was missing. She persisted to argue with me that "Batteries sometimes just die" and there was nothing she could do; meanwhile, refusing to explain this discrepancy with me. I told her that "I am not arguing with you" and held my card up to pay. They also refused asked for services like alignment check for tire warranty until battery is replaced. When I picked my car up on 5/6, the car continued to start up and run fine. As I was looking over my statement before signing, I noticed the battery recommendation and wrote that it wasn't needed, in order to flag this mishap. While leaving the store and two other customers enter, Angela snottily remarks, "You know I have white out right?". This does not even mention that she tried selling me rear brakes at full price and not turning the rotors or recommending the brake flush. I feel that this is a half way attempt at a sale instead of having my car's interest at heart. My car is almost 10 years old with only 76k miles on her, so I expect to keep her in top condition. read more
