The service was great but I was not happy that the manager tried up charging me thinking he was going to get away with it because I'm a woman...when I made the appointment I asked how much the services were going to be so I had enough money with me and then when I was given the total he tried charging me 100 dollars more..and then when I questioned he said Nevermind I'll just eat ramen for dinner..and continued to try and make me feel bad..that is what bad business is..won't go back there anytime soon.. read more

They charged $160 to Mount and balance 4 tires They never set the TPMS Censor it took them 2 and a 1/2 hours To do the job Also never told me what the price would be before they took the vehicle in I will never go there again read more

If I could give them a six (6) I would. Super efficient. I brought my car in with a slow leak on one of the tires. Thinking they could resolve quickly they put my car on a lift and within ten minutes they identified the leak repaired it and I was on my way. Can't even balance a tire. The alignment was off after them trying at two locations. Very sad and pathetic. Ate my tires all up. They have people working in Fulton and Oswego both that don't know what they are doing at all. read more

in Oswego this is what you should do. when in need of repair for example: Monroe $800...then call Goodyear. $650. then GO TO MAVIS.. $500. every time. my family . we make those two calls every time and always end up at Mavis!!!! read more

So I brought my car to their shop to have my brakes fixed because it was making a noise. So when they did my estimate he said that it was going to be 540 for just the one driver side because I need brake pads rotors and my caliper. Turns out nothing was wrong with my caliber and they tried to over charge me. So he brought the price down to 320 so I got it done. They had my car at around 1pm so I come back around 5pm and they are still not done and the man days they are finishing up. So I sit in the car maybe 10 minutes later my friend looks over and my car is in the ditch. They weren't even going to say anything to me about it. So I get out and the man said the brakes weren't working and he rolled right into the ditch. Any normal person would have alerted someone that the brakes were not working like honking the horn or something so I feel like he was lying about the brakes not working. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!! read more

Prelude: I made an account just to post this. I NEVER post reviews. First thing was they said I didn't have an appointment when I went in. That's always a bad sign. But then I suppose he decided to look on the computer under appointment tabs and ta-da there it was, not sure where he was getting his previous assessment of no appointment. That was my first sign to leave. Then I dropped the car off for brake pad changeout and inspection. Came back after 6 days because they never called and I asked in person. They hadn't done either. They tried to take the caliper off, but the self described "brake experts" could not do that. Things happen and that's fine, but the car had sat for days after they tried and they never called me to let me know they couldn't do their job. It's July 4th weekend and I'm on vacation, so I tried to get this job done ahead of time to enjoy my vacation. Now I will spend it trying to get this done somewhere else. Not sure how they couldn't do this, the task is in giant letters on the front of the shop "Monro Mufflers and Brakes". I should've read through these other reviews before stopping here. I hope this saves someone wiser than I some time and money. (PS, i have had my brakes done multiple times and no one has had a problem getting the calipers off) read more

I was nervous going to an auto shop alone since I'm a girl and know nothing about cars, but I came here and everybody was so helpful. They explained everything to me and even brought me in the garage were they work on the cars and they showed me what each of the parts do and why they are important. I price checked them and compared what it would cost me back home at my neighbors shop back on Long Island, and the price they gave me was cheaper than it would have cost me elsewhere. Before they did any work on my car they told me the price and gave me a chance to call my uncle to make sure what they were saying was legit. Dropped off truck for state inspection. They added on an oil change because "that's what's in the computer". Stated that I did not ask for an oil change. He replied "that's what's in the computer". Must be little profit in State Inspections. Go anywhere else for service and inspections. read more

I typically do not write bad reviews, but their customer service was undeniably horrible after I declined them continuing to fix my brakes, which I'm glad I did. The cost was double what I would pay anywhere else. They called to tell me the price, I said no. They then tried to sell me brakes and rotors anyway for half the price. However, the calipers need replacing, but lets not replace those. Hmm, a temporary fix so then I can spend more money in the end?! Yes please! It was quite apparent they were upset, because of their sarcastic comments as I left ("driiive safe"), charged me more for the oil change (even though I came in with a coupon), and rotated my tires when I didn't ask (most likely as revenge). SO now my alignment is completely off and drives like a ball joint is shot! Needless to say, I walked away with an expensive oil change, a chip on my shoulder, and a vehicle that was better off before. Get your car fixed here if you want all that and more! read more

Lazy, they had one job and couldn't deliver. I payed 800 bucks and they tried to charge it to me twice for the same job.

The guy at this shop not only took all of mine and my father's information but claimed to be booked up until after our coupon expired and when he scheduled us for an appointment we showed up just for him to claim we had no appointment and tell us that there wasn't anyone to talk to anyways because the manager had been fired and there was nothing he could do to help us get in until after my eye appointment which would mean I had to drive with my eyes dilated ! read more

Truck was running rough so i took it to the nearest place which was Monro. As my Check Engine light was on, they hooked it up and discovered it was a Bad Coil Pack. $290 and change which was fine as my Engine was running great and the Check Engine light was off.As i'm checking out, a Heavy Set guy (Later found out it was the District Manager) storms in YELLING about how the shop is losing money and next thing you know, the Mechanic opens the door and calls me in and says The Gasket needs to be changed and claims they didn't notice the Anti Freeze on my Fuel Rail. When asked how much, they said: $600. Just then i noticed a gallon of Anti Freeze on the floor and i took my truck and went to a Different shop and THEY said NOTHING was leaking and i would have smelled it before hand. To sum it up: STAY AWAY! They poured a little on the Fuel Rail. I waited a couple weeks to post this review out of Fairness, but to my dismay, my truck is running FINE. read more
