Customer service is worst then the district manager and shops. You send me emails and post to give you a call but every time I call I'm left on hold for over an hour or I get hung up on. I know you can see my number when I call because the worker knew all my information before I could give her any information. This place is worst then a joke it's a nightmare. I went in for back brakes a month ago . Been squeaking ever since . Vinny the manager told me it was because I didn't get ceramic brakes , that's because they are more money . $600 later , come to find out they weren't installed correctly. It took me a while to write this, but I had to tell this story. It was the Saturday before Memorial Day, and I had a recurring slow leak in my tire. With most places closed, I found them open on Monday (Memorial Day). No problem, went in, tire repaired, paid and went home. When I awoke the next morning, my tire was still losing air. I filled it, went to work, and then popped in after work. They told me it was "normal," and just to refill it. Okay, like I know anything. I refilled it, went home, and found it flat the next morning. When I called they couldn't fit me in until Thursday. Okay, I kept filling it, brought it in Thursday after work. This is the part that floored me. They did the wrong tire and told me it was fixed. I was a little ways down the road when I called and asked what the deal was, they did the wrong tire. But the question is, there was nothing wrong with it, so how was it "fixed?" They then took a look and after about a 1/2 hour stated they could not find a problem. All of their work was done out of sight. On Saturday, I brought it to my usual guy who found a puncture in the side of the tire almost immediately. Did the work in front of me. I needed a new tire, which they had on hand. Just a crazy situation, but I can't understand the dishonesty and incompetence of the mechanics there. So, they didn't find the puncture the first day I brought it in? But "fixed" it and charged me? None of it makes sense, and it turned out to be an insane, wasteful week for me. read more

I broke down on a road trip in New York and out of necessity, I went to a Monro in Saratoga Springs. The guys there were great but my car seemed to have idling problems after being serviced. Instead of going to my regular mechanic in RI, I made the mistake of going to the Monro in Pawtucket. It took 2 days for them to diagnose the problem and told me "it is an old car, old cars do that." I told them that I've been the sole owner of my car for 15 years and that I know when there is something different about the way it drives. They worked on fixing the problem on the third day. I get my car back and it seems to be fine UNTIL I went on the highway. My car started shaking and sputtering. I heard a bang that sounded like something exploding. I had my car towed to my regular mechanic because something told me not to bring it to Monro. My mechanic said that Monro forgot to "tie down" my spark plug. The bang sound was my spark plug skyrocketing into my car's hood. There is actually a dent from where it hit the underside of the hood. I probably should've went back to Monro to get all that fixed for free but piece of mind is priceless. I was worried that they would cause even more damage to my car. At this point, I wouldn't even let them do an oil change! read more

Best place to go for an oil change. If you have an appointment you are usually in and out in 30 minutes or less. 20 minutes was the quickest I've experienced. It's so easy to go online and make an appointment and if they can't accommodate you, they will call to let you know. I usually make an appointment 3 days in advance and I never have any issues. The people who work their are very friendly and honest. I have also gotten work done at other monro locations and they are always straight forward with the prices and what work needs to be done and what can wait a little bit. If you're looking for a quick, convenient, and reasonable priced oil change this is the place to go. read more

Found an honest mechanic who took great care of my car and didn't oversell. When I was concerned about needing new tires (the tires have 91,000 miles on them) the mechanic assessed the tread and said it could wait another few months but to get tires before winter. read more

I used to love going here. They were very thorough with what my car needed, how many miles I had left on tires and brake pads. They even handed you a pamphlet with all the information in it. Well, they no longer do that and even if you ask them how your brake pads are they say "fine" and then before you know it your rotors are in need of repair and you have to dish out $700 to fix everything. Yesterday Wednesday March 7, 2018, i went in for an oil change and they had a special $14.99 Conventional oil change with Brake Test, Battery Test, Tire Rotation, and Tire Pressure Check included. I thought it was a great deal. My tires weren't rotated, and who knows if they had even checked everything else. I watched and saw they never rotated my tires. So today Thursday March 8, 2018 as i was driving my battery indicator light comes on and my car all of a sudden begins to overheat. Unfriendly staff. I've been going here for oil changes for over two years, the manager never remembers me or my vehicle, even though I go regularly. Total " I could care less" attitude. The worst part is, every time I go in I ask to have the breaks checked, so when it's time I can have pads replaced and not spend a fortune on rooters etc..EVERY TIME I ask. I always get, "oh their ok ,you can go a bit longer". Then the last time, I was told they were completely shot, $700.00 repair. This is EXACTLY what I was trying to avoid by asking each and every time. I feel like they completely took advantage of me. My business will be going elsewhere. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. When my back right tire and wheel cracked they tried to charge me 900 dollars to replace. (I found it online for $130). When the wheel and tire came they made me wait 5 days to put the new one on. (It's a 20 min job max!) I had to Uber all week! Just for a new wheel! avoid this place at all costs. read more

Wish I could give this 0 stars. This place has completely incompetent people answering the phones and taking down appointments. I called this location last Tuesday to make an appointment for Sunday. Spoke with a man who confirmed my appointment time for 10 am and took down my information. Well, come Sunday I had my father take my car to Monro and he was told by the extremely rude man at the counter that there was no appointment made. The man told my father that he was way too busy and made my father feel uncomfortable and like he was inconveniencing him. Anyway, that did not sit well with me and I called right away to figure out what went wrong. This man answered the phone and made me feel like I was a liar and was convinced that I had never made the appointment. I asked to speak to a manager and he told me to call back Monday, I preferred that he have his manager call me Monday instead. Well of course I have not received a call, surprise surprise. I have worked in retail and this was clearly so unprofessional, I don't know how they're conducting business treating their customers like they are liars and not even bothering to try and make things right. Monro has forever lost business from me and my entire family, will never go here again. My gf went there for an inspection sticker. They broke the corner lense for the blinker light and said they could fix it for $185.00. The part was $170. On Amazon it is $32.00 and Pep Boys has new ones for $42.00 They also said the car needed an exhaust system and a muffler. Almost $800 for an inspection sticker.. I lodged a complaint with the corporate office. They admitted the broken lense was not on the incoming inspection but would NOT refund any money or do repairs as the car was in need of the exhaust and system and muffler so it would have flunked the inspection anyway. WE TOOK THE CAR TO ANOTHER STATION AND IT PASSED THE INSPECTION AS IT DID NOT NEED EXHAUST WORK/MUFFLER, AND BY THAT POINT, I HAD GONE TO PEP BOYS AND GOT A NEW LENSE. I REPLACED IT FOR $42 AND 3 MINUTES OF WORK. AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT AT ALL COSTS! read more

Do not waste your money!!! The manager and staff a shady and try to rip people off for their money. I brought my car there for an inspection, my car is a 2015 and they failed my inspection because they said I needed new tires and rear brake pads. Nate the manager said that it would cost 1200 dollars for new tires and brake pads. While I was there I looked up new tire cost at the dealership and installed the same tires that I had with a wheel alignment cost $600. The dealership also said that my break pads were wearing down and would need to be replaced in a couple of months but would have certainly passed inspection. After I had my repairs done at the dealership I brought my car back, I told Nate if if wanted some feedback as to why I didn't buy the tires there because I felt like they were over priced and should tell the cooperate company, he said cooperate doesn't care and started to complain about them. I did get my sticker because I mentioned that the dealership was offering to pass my vehicle but I returned there because I had already paid. Needless to say I will never go there again for anything!!! I wanted to go there because the location is close to my home but I will make the trip to Johnston in the future and go to the dealership so I don't get ripped off. read more

Found that they had added insurance on for my 1 tire and had replaced air filter without asking me if I wanted either. I always change my own air filter and had done so at the end of summer. I used a coupon for an oil change and with this coupon I was to have my tires rotated. When the gentleman called to say my car was ready I made sure to ask if the tires were rotated and the response I received was "ABSOLUTELY". I never have before but decided to mark my tires to make sure it was actually done. When I got home I checked the tires and they were "ABSOLUTELY" not rotated. My wife had her car in for a transmission flush and oil change and they also rotated her tires. She provided them with the wheel lock for the rims. 3 days later she had a blowout and when she called AAA the wheel lock could not be located. I called and spoke with the tech who worked on the car and he stated that the wheel lock was either in trunk or in the glove box. I checked for the wheel lock as well and it was not to be found. I called and spoke to Tom and he said they would remove the locks and replace them if I could have the car towed there. Called AAA again and the AAA driver was able to remove the flat because all the wheel studs and lugnuts had been replaced. We checked the remaining wheels and there was not a lock to be found. All the studs and lugnuts were brand new. This was not disclosed to either of us when my Wife picked up the car. My wife drove the car back down to them and the tech that greeted her was asking us the question we were asking him. Why were the studs and lugnuts replaced. I emphasized the question why did one of your techs replace all of them? He kept on going back and forth till I stated bottom line I need this fixed and fixed right. He agreed to take the car in and replace the wheel locks. He also replaced the tire which I offered to pay for. Bottom line very poor customer service and dishonesty doesn't pay! Your better off being honest with the customer than being deceitful! Needless to say I have have good experiences in the past but will not return as a customer. read more
