Overall good experience with the sales team and inventory, but I attempted to wait to purchase the vehicle until I could transfer the deposit money to my bank account (1/26) rather than the date I visited the dealership (1/23). I was told it wouldn't be an issue to write the check on 1/23 and the dealership would wait to cash it until 1/26 so I agreed to purchase the vehicle that day. The dealership proceeded to cash the check the following day on 1/24, over drafting my bank account, causing multiple phone calls with the bank and dealership, the insistence to get a cashiers check on 1/26 (the date I originally specified the funds would be available) because the original check bounced as a result of the deposit date, and the need to drive back to Monroeville when I live downtown to provide the cashiers check, all while 9 months pregnant. read more

This is the worst dealership I have ever been too. Skip the service advisor, if you want to call him that- is rude, lazy, and not friendly. I have been back for my inspection THREE times so far and because he has an attitude problem, here I Sit and wait AGAIN. I have faxed and emailed my documents required to pass my jeep and because it's 20 minutes before close(he told me to just stop back in and get my sticker once I got my form) he asked me to stop back next week. Next year I'll pay for my inspection. Not worth the time, gas, frustration, or dealing with this moron. Oh! I called to see if he got my form 12 times and left 4 messages... no answer, I tried he other service advisors all to get the same operator who kept transferring me back to a voicemail.. I leased a 2017 jeep wrangler and called the financial department this past summer to confirm my return date as I had misplaced the contract but knew the date was coming up within the next few months. Ray, in finance, gave me a date (later) that differed than what I had put in my calendar but I trusted him as I did not have the paperwork. The vehicle was returned in amazing shape and 20,000 miles under alottment on the specified date. I was stunned when I received a call from the lender saying I owed nearly $1,200 on the car due to LATE RETURN. Ray took no ownership of the mistake and said I should have called the lender in the first place (something which he did not communicate when we talked over the summer). The lender said the dealership should have eaten the cost incurred due to the misinformation but they would not. Ray was rude and unprofessional to deal with- only later did I find out he was also untrustworthy too. I left a message for the sales manager last week (who Ray said was his superior) and received no call back. This was handled so poorly and with no intregrity- I will never do business with this dealership and recommend you do not either. read more

Once we started talking about the price his floor manager came over and let me say it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my life. I asked about being tax exempt for being military stationed in Tennessee and he pretty much called me a liar. Moving on I saw a car in the website for 44 only to find out it's actually 55. Going past that we found a summit grand Cherokee he gave me the first price and said he can't go any lower than that. Just don't go here - ambient sensor went in my jeep renegade mirror and they quoted the repair at around $800 - well common sense kicked in and I know no temperature sensor would ever cost anywhere near that - Well I come to find out that they wanted to replace the ENTIRE mirror! Not sure if it's pure incompetence or they're just that greedy for money, but the sensor costs about $10 for FIVE of them, and the repair was simply opening up the mirror casing, cutting two wires, and quickly soldering them back on to the new sensor I got from Amazon - the car service industry has a bad reputation because of locations like this. No respect for the customers and a blatant assumption that we're idiots who will pay whatever is quoted without asking questions. And when I did try to ask questions the guy just said "let me cut you off right there, it needs done." Never doing business here again, whether it be for buying a new vehicle or for any servicing needs. The hubby and I came to this Jeep dealership recently to test drive the new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokees. As it was a Saturday, most of the salesmen were pretty busy. However, as soon as Will and I started walking to the door to look at models outside, we were stopped by a manager and asked if we needed assistance. He had a salesman outside to help us within a few minutes. James (I believe he went by Jim) helped us out, and we both really enjoyed his style. He was helpful and shared a lot of great facts about the vehicle but didn't have that over-the-top car-salesman-type personality. We are still probably six months away from making our new vehicle purchase, but if we go with a Jeep, we will definitely want to work with him again. read more

Sean and his service team, are literal angels sent from heaven. I was in PA taking care of my God sister and her new born baby - only two weeks old. When I packed my car this past Friday evening (5/14/2021) around 5pm, I went to press the start button and it lit up and everything like it was on, but the engine wouldn't start. I then kept pressing the button and break, and this lead to all of the lights flashing and geeking out crazy it looked like my jeep was like possessed or glitching crazy ! So of course by default, I'm so frustrated and crying at this point because I needed to be on the road to get back to DC in time for work. By this time, it's 8pm and all the shops are closed . So I can Jeep wave and they mention there is a recall in my Jeep Compass 2018 , and to take it to any dealership. So by this point I've already accepted the fact that I've missed work and am now stuck in PA until God knows when!! So, I get my car towed to this dealership around 9pm. I left the paper and keys in the overnight drop box , praying they'll be able to get to me, by the morning. Soooo fast forward - 8 am Saturday I call the receptionist, and plead with her my case and literally beg , holding back tears ... barely. She tells me she'll have to talk to the technician and see what they can do. Sean , about an hour later, calls me and mentions he's booked up until next Friday .. as the tears start to fall ever so gently down my cheeks I hear him say "BUT, I have a soft spot and I'll look into this and get it done for you today" . This man has no ideaaaa how gracious and ecstatic I was to hear this , he is literally heaven sent. Around 1:30 my hero was ready and I was good to hop on the road back to DC! When I went to check out since I was broke asf after paying for my two batteries to be replaced, he even let me use a coupon!! Now- checking out with the receptionist, she was a literal angel. My wife and I purchased a used SUV (1 year old, 17k miles) at Monroeville Jeep. We were presented with a clean carfax when purchasing. There were some issues with the car the first week (rotors grinding). We ended up taking the rav4 back to the location 3 times before finally getting it fixed at another dealership (Wheel bearings/Toyota). Two months into ownership we were shopping for new car insurance only to learn that the vehicle was in a rear collision that resulted in 12k of damage prior to us purchasing. I have a lease from Monroeville Jeep and was there for a oil change today. First it took an hour to do a oil change with nobody else in the waiting room. I was given my car back and I get in to leave and there is a 30 inch crack across my windshield. I walk in and tell them about it and they acted shady and shocked. I spoke w the service manager and he was unapologetic, short and rude. I then asked to speak with the GM to hopefully figure something rationally out. He couldn't even give me five minutes after waiting 20 mins to speak to him and said to call him once I talk with my insurance to figure out my deductible. I asked for his card and couldn't even get it but got the service managers with his written on the back. The attitude of the management was seemed so uninterested and unconcerned about the situation that I was almost bothering them to address the situation that just had happened. I filed a claim with my insurance and am just in shock at the whole situation. Skip the attendant was nice. I feel bad that his management had no interest in the customer who's car was damaged by their establishment during a service appointment and tried blaming me for it. The poor Jetta had finally given all she could, and it was time for a new (used) car. I have a *small* tendency to run over things that rip giant holes in the mechanical contraptions that reside under the car, so I needed something up off the ground. Also, living up here with all this snow, I wanted at least AWD, but ideally a 4x4. After being disappointed in several other dealerships along William Penn Hwy, we ended up at Monroeville Chrysler-Jeep. We were greet by Jim Little, who showed us their used inventory. Of course we wanted to get a great deal, but the personal interactions we had with Jim and the rest of the staff really sealed the deal. The process of buying the car, and, importantly, the interactions I've had since, only confirm that this is a dealership that will take care of you even after you've driven off the lot. For example, you get free car washes for life, their service department is open until midnight, and they provide you with a rental car to use while they're working. Gave one star because I had to, to write a post. Bought my Jeep Wrangler here after years of waiting to buy my perfect Jeep. I've been waiting since I was 16 years old. Ended up on a Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition and they had the exact colors/features I wanted on the lot. This dealer is about 45 minutes away, if here is no traffic. And I pass 2 jeep dealers to get here. Sales team was great. Got to a price I could settle on and negotiated a starter. Had to give it over to the service team to install the starter, enter issues. While it was there I decided to buy running boards. They stole my rock rails that needed to be removed for installation and never said a word. They dented my trunk (bent the entire top backwards) bent my license plate in half, and botched the starter install. Hadn't even owned the Jeep over a couple weeks! I asked to talk to the manager and he spoke with me outside while he smoked in my face. I told him how unhappy I was. 40k was a lot for me and it has been my dream car. Told them they were ruing my experience. He offered nothing. Still don't have the rock rails to this day. I wouldn't get a tricycle serviced here. I had free oil/inspections/washes and I will NEVER use any of it. The service side of this place is pathetic. Not worth buying a car and having any association. read more

Hello, my name is Star Traylor and I took my 2009 Chrysler Sebring to this dealership last month (Aug 2020) only to be charged $920 for them NOT TO FIX MY CAR. I returned my car to this same dealership 6 days later with the same problem AND THEY STILL HAVE MY CAR. It is now September 22, 2020 and they now want to charge me an additional $1232 to fix my initial problem that they diagnosed wrongfully. On top of that, they now have informed me that my driver side window will not go up and down. My window worked perfectly fine when I took the car a month ago. I have not had my car since August and now my window is broken and they told me it is not their responsibility. I've been speaking with a service representative named Rob Zang and these were his exact words to me, "In order to get your car fixed, it will be $1232, take it or leave it" I cannot believe that this is how Monroeville Chrysler Jeep is treating their customers. I called them and spoke with Jordan Minster and I will say from that first phone call till I left in my Grand Cherokee, it was the best service that I have ever had with any dealership in the past. Once I called he texted me a few minutes later with pictures and specs on the vehicle. He answered phone calls and texts when he was and wasn't working. He made sure to describe any imperfections on the vehicle before I arrived (since it was used). These people make me sick. Tried to get me to put $8000 down on a lease!!?? Makes absolutely no sense. The entire point of a lease is predicated on the fact that your not gonna buy the car. The kicker is I was trading in a BMW with over $4k in equity, that should have covered all down payments, taxes, title and tags. I walked, I will never go there again. They waited for me to pack both kids back in the car and drive down the road before they called me just to accept the offer I originally wanted. On July 20, 2018, I purchased a white Jeep Grand Cherokee from this dealership. On Thursday, October 4, 2018, around 5:15 pm on route 28, I was traveling in stop and go traffic. As I was moving approximately 5 -10 mph, the car made a ringing sound as if a seat belt was unbuckled. I looked down and the screen with the radio flickered a few times, and then displayed the Jeep symbol and turned black. There was no power to the vehicle - interior lights, radio, sounds etc dead. At that time the dashboard provided an error message that my car needed to be in placed into park. I tried to shift my car into neutral and then back into drive thinking maybe it wasn't dead but just stalled. Nothing. Message again displayed that my car needed to be put into park. I had no option but to put this car into park in the fast lane on route 28. The first time I tried to restart the car - it would not start. On about the third time, it started. Essentially, this new car (under 3 months old with 2,600 miles) died on route 28 during rush hour. When I made it home without further incident, I contacted the service department who told me that I could bring the car in to be looked at mid October. That was an unacceptable response. I then contacted a sales manager Josh who asked that I bring it in the next morning at 9 am. I did so. At that time, Josh provided me a used car from the lot and he assured me that a service manager, John would be personally working on it and that he would be in touch in order to repair it. I told him I wanted a new vehicle to replace this one. He stated that he could not swap it out (but I could trade it in) and I needed to to through the service department and they would diagnose and repair it. I informed Josh that I would not be driving that vehicle ever again as I was terrified to get back into it. I subsequently put a complaint in with Jeep Customer Service who really was of no assistance as they merely make sure the dealership is working with me to repair the vehicle. Over the next few days, John called me daily to track their progress which was basically that they could not find anything wrong with the vehicle. He asked that I permit one of his service men the ability to drive the car to and from work. I didn't have the option to say no in order for them to try to get the vehicle to replicate the same loss of power. I had informed John that I was terrified to drive the vehicle as I only purchase Jeeps for safety and I transport my children many places in my vehicle and I no longer felt safe as my car lost power on a major highway with my child in it. A few more days went by and John contacted me to ask me to return the borrowed vehicle the next day. He informed me that he was also working with Jeep engineers to troubleshoot the problem, but again he had not found anything to repair. Thus, I took the rental car provided to me and went home. Now I have missed 2 days of work because of a lemon vehicle purchased from this dealership. Therefore, upon returning home I contacted the dealership requesting trade in info. I really did not want to trade in the white Jeep with 2,600 miles (which was completely paid off) but after a week, the service department was unable to articulate why the vehicle lost power while I was driving it and although they were still trouble shooting, I had no confidence that if they did figure it out, my family would be safe in that vehicle. I could have taken the Jeep and traded it in somewhere else which is what I really wanted to do (actually another dealership might have given me more on a trade in - yes, this place fleeced me on the trade in value considering they knew that I had purchased a lemon from their dealership) but wasn't sure how I could with a clear conscience explain why I was trading in a paid off 2018 vehicle with only 2,600 miles. This dealership knows it is a lemon and it is on them when they sell the car to an unsuspecting consumer. However, the only positive in this entire situation is DeVon in sales who I worked with on the purchase of both vehicles. He is very knowledgeable and helpful and never pushy in either sale. Then I go to schedule my oil change and it takes me 3 1/2 weeks to get a appointment. Been calling for 5 weeks to get my back brakes looked at and get my vehicle inspected. Who would know I still don't have an appointment. I called again today and still can't get an appointment until 9/19. WOW, this truly blows my mind. Recently, I received a pre-approval letter for Chrysler Capital. I am not really in the market for a car, but if the right deal presents itself, I can be. Earlier today, I was in the area so I decided to drop in to Monroeville Chrysler Jeep to see if they had any enticing deals. It's a Saturday so I know they would be sort of busy. I walk in stood in the doorway for almost 5 minutes and no one acknowledge me. I looked around and some of the sales people were with customers, but others were talking amongst themselves or sitting at their desks looking at the window. After about 5 minutes I moved over to the couch inside the showroom figuring that is the designated waiting area to be greeted. After about 7 minutes and no one approached me, I called them from their showroom. I told the person who answered that I had a pre approval letter and I may be interested in purchasing. He sounded surprised when I told him I have been in their showroom for over 10 minutes and no acknowledgement. He did not send someone right over to me. Instead, he says a greeter will be with me soon. As I look around a few more sales people have become less busy and yet no one approached me. After waiting another 5 minutes for a "greeter", I decided to leave because Monroeville Chrysler Jeep clearly was not interested in my money. I learned in retail, every sale is important and valuable. I guess not so much at Monroeville Chrysler Jeep. Maybe next week I will go to a different Chrysler dealership to see if they will honour my pre-approval. Maybe the customer service is better there. I went in just to make sure the new models hadn't changed too much in appearance and functionality because I knew my lease would be ending in about 8-9 months and just wanted to see what the prospects would be or if I would kinda be forced to buy mine. I walked around on the lot for a few minutes, I was greeted as soon as I stepped out my vehicle. I did get the initial (OMG) let the games begin feeling, but I really lucked up. I have a Jeep SRT and it was wrecked in december. The paint work was excellent.The body shop manager and staff were all very nice. When i picked the car up the mechanical work was not done properly and i noticed it immediately. A $17,000 repair and they didnt bother to sufficiently road test the car. They totally missed a bad strut and control arm. The noise these defective items made sounded like the front end was falling off the car. After 5 total months and almost $20,000 the car still isnt right...yes, u read correctly, almost $20,000. NOT ONCE did any of the management attempt to make this misearable situation better. Also know, they acknowledged the repair was wrong after i pointed it out so dont think im a bad oversensitive consumer...they admitted the problems were real. Any business can make a mistake....its what happens after the mistake that matters...and sadly nothing positive happened on any level. *WARNING* WARNING* WARNING* This dealership is nothing but a joke. I do not know about anybody else, but I do not like for someone to rip me off or play around with my hard earned money. I was browsing for vehicles for some time and had my heart set on a Jeep Compass. I browsed the Monroeville Chrysler and Jeep website and found one I was interested in. I scheduled and appointment to talk to someone in sales and also test drive. Well when I arrived at the dealership nothing worked as planned. Needless to say I did not walk away with the Jeep Compass I walked away with a Jeep Patriot instead. So let's talk about my real experience. My 2014 Jeep Patriot was supposed to have had new tires and I was told there were new tires put on it. Per my observation in the dark I might add, it seemed as if the tires were new. But hey I am no mechanic! I then noticed there was a hairline scratch in the windshield as I was pulling out of the parking lot. It was very small it could have been missed, but as we know scratches in windshields do expand. I immediately stopped and informed them of the scratch. They told me to come back the next day around noon and they would has the glass guy take care of it "free of charge". I went back the next day which was a Friday with my 9 month old daughter and waited for about an hour for the glass guy and he never showed up. I left and my sales guy told me he would set up the appointment for Monday to have it fixed and that he would call me and let me know the time. Well I never heard from him. I hounded him for about 3 weeks to have my windshield fixed. Finally I went back into the dealership to find out my sales guy no longer worked there. At this point I pretty much demanded that someone take care of it like they said they would. To my surprise the glass guy was finally in that day! He took a look at it and said there was nothing he could do to fix it and that it wouldn't expand, which was a lie because it did EXPAND!!!! The general manager said he would not replace the windshield because my sales guy did not write anything in my customer file stating that Monroeville Chrysler and Jeep was going to fix or replace the windshield. Therefore, I was stuck with this windshield unless it cracked or shattered then the general manager said he would pay my insurance deductible. But why would I even risk it cracking or shattering especially if I am operating the vehicle? So now it's about 2 months later and I am hearing a noise in the rear of my Jeep and then I hear a whistling noise on the driver's side. I take my Jeep in 3 different times to have the noises checked. They keep telling me they hear nothing so therefore they cannot fix what they cannot hear. So now I am hearing things? Why not do a multi-point inspection then? My thoughts are this is dangerous for me to drive let alone have my 11 month old daughter riding in. So the problem was never found and I was stuck with this negativity equity (was supposed to be positive) trying to get out of it but I knew it was going to cost me if I tried to trade it in for something that was operable and safe. Finally 9 months later I have traded that Jeep in and have washed my hands of it. Again, this dealership is nothing but a joke. They seem to sell you a piece of crap and then when something goes wrong they won't even fix it or take the time to try and help you or even compensate you for that matter. read more
