Sendell gave me $6000 more than other dealers nearby. It didn't matter which car I bought. I got a great deal on a new Outlander. My salesman, Derek Huzicko was terrific. He ran a lot of prices for me on various cars that had the one feature I was most looking for (blind spot detection). Ask for Derek. He takes the time to make sure you get the car you want. He doesn't try to upsell you. Also the finance woman did not try to pressure me to get the warranty. The paperwork she presented me with was actually lower than I had been told. I had to get my car towed 50 minutes to a VW shop in order to get it fixed. Samantha was very helpful and clear when answering questions. And she made sure my car would be taken care of since I couldn't make it down to speak with anyone in person. While I was in town for the holidays, my key broke and was stuck in the ignition of my Jetta, rendering it inoperable. Herb and his team were able to get me in that same day to order parts and take inventory of the vehicle. While the parts took longer than expected to ship from Mexico and didn't come with tracking information, once they did arrive the team was able to pull the car into the bay and replace the ignition within hours as promised. Herb called both myself and my dad to keep everyone in the loop when he had updates to share, and was easy to work with. Unfortunately, there weren't loaner cars available at the time despite the sign in their service lobby, but that can be understandable given the timing and the pandemic's impact on parts availability. Overall, I would definitely recommend Herb and his team! They were clearly booked up (and I know New Years Eve is terrible timing for a car to need urgent repair), but still took the time to look at my car and get it fixed as soon as possible. Had vehicle in 3 times with the same issue and they didn't want to take care of the problem, even after corporate said it was up to them to take care of. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Took my eos in for warranty work done. Keys needed reprogramming back to the car, only one set worked after the programming was done. Waiting there till the service manager got back almost another additional hour for him to side with his tech and not even offer to reprogram both keys again and bill me if infact the key fob did go bad within the 2 minutes the keys were in my possession. Took my keys to another vw dealership and both keys work, 95$ I have to pay now because they apparently don't know what they are doing. Needless to say I'll never go to them again. read more

TLDR; My Jetta had extensive wiring repairs here that took way too long, and during the process the dealership damaged my car. When I confronted them, they denied it. Saw my regular mechanic who confirmed my suspicion. DO NOT GO HERE. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. My Volkswagen Jetta was towed here last summer for fairly extensive repairs because it was the closest dealership. My engine had been a feast for some small rodent, and a ton of wiring and basically all of the insulation was chewed through. First, the repairs took over a month, which seemed excessive. I called at least once a week for updates, which were uninformative, and there was always something mentioned about having to order new parts. I was given four separate estimates for when the repairs would be done, and each time the date came, it would get pushed back again. When I was finally able to pick up my car, I checked under the hood, and there were several places that they hadn't bothered to replace the chewed insulation. I pointed them out, but the technicians said that it was unnecessary to replace those places because they didn't pose a safety risk. Ok.. but you were just paid several thousand dollars to fix all the parts that were damaged. I expect you to replace all the parts. I wasn't willing to fight about it though, and I was relieved to have my car back after such a long time, so I just dropped it and left. A week or so later, I opened the back door of my car, and when I tried to close it again, I discovered that a part of the plastic lining around the seats had popped up and was blocking the door from closing, rendering one of my back doors basically unusable. I had to roll the window down, hold the plastic part down so I could close the door, and then roll the window back up. I peeked behind the plastic part to see what was back there, and what do you know, it's wiring. So I drove all the way back out to Sendell to ask them about it. They didn't even look at it before saying they didn't do it. I forced them to come look at it, and again they said they couldn't have possibly done that, that they were only working in the engine. They offered to do a very expensive replacement of the whole part, costing somewhere in the thousands, which I refused. Here's the thing - this part doesn't just pop up on its own. Someone had to pry it open. It's taken me a few months to get around to it, but I finally went to my regular mechanic and asked him about it. He took my whole back seat apart and confirmed that the pins that keep the part in place were snapped from force. He said the only way it could have happened is if someone pried the part up, probably using a metal tool. Mysteriously, the part covering some wiring pops up after a dealership works on replacing my wiring, and they expect me to believe it happened all by itself? I paid $100 for my regular mechanic to hammer the plastic back in place so I can at least close my back door, but he said that there's a possibility it'll pop up again. There's no way that this dealership didn't cause this damage to my car. If the part pops up again, you'll bet that the management will be hearing from me. read more

Brigette Ralston is EVERYTHING! I've rarely had such a wonderful car buying experience delivered by such a fun sales professional. I felt like I was buying a car from my best friend despite only having just met her. New to the dealership, and having had a wonderful relationship with my former dealership (now a thousand miles away since I moved) I hesitated buying a vehicle from a "foreign dealer" but Bridget "had me at hello" and I was hooked all the way through her dropping the keys into my hot little hands. I came back two days later to purchase it and still had to talk to a manager to get someone on the sales floor. Terrible service in both the Sales and Service Department. If you schedule service, it's a minimum of an hour before they even take your car back, and that's for a scheduled appointment. If you plan to purchase, don't expect to be greeted or to be met when you walk in the door. The Sales department acts like you are a bother. I strongly do not agree with purchasing or servicing your vehicle at Sendell. I regret my decision and wish I would have purchased elsewhere. read more

Took my 2012 Jetta to Sendell for engine repairs on 1/6/20. The engine issues were part of a nationwide class action suit however I was told by both VW and Sendell I exceeded the mileage limits and therefore had to pay out of pocket. It cost me over $7500.00 for the engine repairs and I was assured everything was diagnosed and repaired properly. On January 30, 2020 I paid the bill and drove the car home. From 1/30/20 to 2/8/20 I accumulated about 120 miles of which 30 of those miles was the trip home when I picked up the car. On Saturday 2/8/20 I drove the car to the supermarket (about a 2 mile round trip) to get a few groceries and when I left the parking lot I noticed what sounded like a faulty rod bearing. I drove the car home at a very low speed and checked the oil level in my garage. It was a quart low! No leaks or burning of oil so I can only suggest the correct amount of oil was NOT put in the engine after the extensive costly repairs. I of course did not start the car again and had it towed back to Sendell motors. The Service advisor called me Monday morning and told me that the engine had been 'over-reved'! I ask how he made that determination and what did it have to do with the bearing noise(s). I was told the diagnostic tool used to scan the onboard computer provided info that at a certain time and date the engine was abused by overreving. The car is a 6 speed manual 2.0l turbo and backing out of a parking stall and leaving a supermarket parking lot I would hardly have reason to bury the accelerator and cause engine damage. I am a retired master auto technician and also served as a Service Manager for many high line motor vehicles such as Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Jaguar and other domestic car lines. I was also a technician for VW earlier in my auto career. Anyone who knows anything about the cars of the past few decades knows or should know an onboard computer will not always provide a fault code and even if it does provide a fault code it does not mean it is correct. Think about your own laptop, desktop or smartphone. I had the car removed from Sendell and taken elsewhere for repairs which will again cost me a substantial amount of Money. Sendell refused to repair the car at no charge claiming the person driving the car (ME) caused the low end damage. Absolutely absurd and extremely unprofessional. I hope this helps someone who is considering having their VW "repaired' at Sendell as I suggest you think very hard before doing so. read more

I have been a Sendell's customer for the past 4 years, ever since I bought my first NEW car from them. Even after I moved away from the Greensburg area, I still would come there to get my car inspected and serviced. I can't say anything bad about that experience, hence the 2nd star. Of course, being a loyal customer when the time came again to buy a new car, I went to Sendell VW, hoping to negotiate a good deal with them. I emailed them to get a quote on a car that I was considering buying and after a couple of back-and-forths, I scheduled to come in at 1pm on Saturday. So I drove 30 miles to Greensburg just to get THE worst buying experience of my life. I got to the dealership and started looking at the cars in the lot, 10 minutes later some guy came up to me and asked if I needed any help, to which I explained that I was there to see Anthony (the guy I was emailing earlier). The guy promised to notify Anthony that I was there and then left. After 15 more minutes I decided to walk into the showroom, where I asked for Anthony once again. Anthony showed up in another 5-10 minutes. At that time he gave me the keys to the car, so I could check out the interior and then he disappeared again. He returned as I was finishing up with my detailed examination of the car, and offered to take it for a test drive. And while I really enjoyed test-driving the car (which also was my 2nd test drive), the salesman failed completely to go over some of the main features of the car. This was fine, since I already had a basic idea of what was where and how things worked. After the test drive was over, it only got worse and worse... and worse. First, they apprised my trade-in $700 lower compared to the other dealership, citing some of the work that needed to be done to it. Then, Anthony notified me that the car he was originally quoting - was not available anymore, and he could only find cars that were $400-500 more (for which he wasn't even searching for the correct configuration). After disappearing for another 30 minutes, he finally came back with a car configuration that I was looking for, trade-in value matching what the other dealer was giving me, and $300 discount off the MSRP. To which I told him that he needed to increase the discount to at least $900 for me to consider the deal. He disappeared again for another 30-40 minutes. At this point I was getting very irritated by the amount of time this whole thing was taking, as I was running late to meet with my friends for an early dinner (should I mention, that at this point I had been at the dealership for almost 3 hours). So Anthony came back eventually with the "great" news - he found the car that was $400 cheaper (also missing some of the add-ons that the previous car had), and he was ready to give me $300 more for the trade-in and $200 off MSRP... of course I DID NOT appreciate him muddling the waters and making it look like he was giving me a much better deal, while in reality it was only $200 more. I told him that if that's all he was ready to offer me, I needed time to think about it and I would call him on Monday. At that point I turned around and left... after spending 4 hours at the dealership... frustrated, irritated and deeply disappointed with the whole experience at Sendell VW. To add insult to the injury, I later realized that I was never given back my car registration card (Anthony later called and claimed that it was found under the table, which was a complete BS, since he never even gave it back to me). So if you are looking for a salesman that uses every dirty unethical trick in salesmen book - go to Sendell and ask specifically for Anthony. Otherwise, go to BILLCO Motors... where they accepted my offer right away, so I had a very nice deal worked out in a matter of an hour, and a new car in 3 days. Very professional and courteous, and the most pleasant experience! read more

Within minutes Josh (my awesome sales contact) and I had this gem secured from a thousand miles away. Of course, that's when the fear sets in, but when I arrived at the dealership (after a flight into Pittsburgh and rental car drive to Greensburg) the car was sitting right out front in all of its glory. Awful! Purchased a used car for 10k less than 4 years ago and have had nothing but issues with it....starting with having to replace the full transmissions during the first year. The dealer convinced us to purchase the car without a warranty for a lower price and refused any responsibility when the trainy went a couple of months into the purchase. Never had good experience with do called "warranties" so agreed. They seriously sold us a bad car that is now shot at less than 130k miles. I have been a loyal VW customer for 6 years. I leased a VW Jetta in 2010 and happily leased from VW again (Carl is an awesome salesman. Honest and to the point!). However , I recently moved to Nevada. I was looking at cars to find a lower payment, simply wanted to find out if it was possible to trade-in my lease out of state. I had the luxury of speaking with "Bill" from VM after being transferred to every voicemail in the company, I called back asking to speak with my original car salesman. Bill was extremely rude and condescending, and unwilling to even work with me to answer any questions. When I asked Bill why he was speaking with an ignorant tone, Bill was unable to answer. As I stated above, I have been a loyal customer. There is absolutely no way I will continue any type of business with this company. I will make my friends and family well aware of the customer service that was not provided for me. Very disappointed to be belittled as a loyal customer. . read more

My mom sister and I were looking at a Jetta for my mom on a Friday afternoon at the Volkswagen sendell. They told her they would get back to her later that night or Saturday. A different sales person who knew nothing about anything called my mom TUESDAY. He said he would look into it and the original sales lady finally called her back Thursday night letting her know what her payments would be. My mom said she was coming to get the car Friday and it was already sold. The manager lied to my mom basically and said a family member put a down payment on it. This is just pathetic they would do this to my mom and we will be reporting them to better business burough. We were lied to and I don't reccomend anyone buying a car from here. read more

My husband I were not even looking for a car we went to get parts for a Subaru my husband was working on. We decided to look around the lot. And here comes the salesman, I thought Oh NO, here we go. Much to our surprise the salesman named Carl came up and asked us if we had any questions. Of course we told him no and to our surprise no sales pitch, no pressure just a nice man talking to us. We did have a few questions for him (still no intention in buying a car) and we spent about 20 minutes or so talking and away we went. We were so impressed with the salesman and of course we liked the car. So after about 3 days of my husband and I talking about a new car decided let's do it! We went to a few other lots and oh the salesman drove us crazy. So to make this long story shorter. We went back to Sendell and bought the car. I must tell you it was the easiest purchase ever made. We filled out the credit app online and once approved just had to show up and spent 15 to 20 minutes signing and away we went. Don't be afraid to just stop in and browse, No pressure here. But then again you might just come home with a new car and love the experience as much as the purchase. LOL read more
