While en route to Cedar Point from Columbus with an SUV full of kids, I started to experience car trouble. My daughter googled auto repair shops near us as the handling of my SUV began to decline rapidly and I slowed down and drove with my hazards on. By the grace of God, we were only 5 minutes from Tom's Auto Repair! As I pulled into their parking lot, Daniel came out from the garage right away to make sure we were okay as he noticed the flashers on. I explained to him what I was experiencing and after emptying my vehicle of restless kids, the team had it up on a lift in no time and quickly diagnosed the issue(s). They said I was lucky that I stopped, as with the state of my wheel bearing and front bushing, we might not have even made it the next 30 minutes to the park. Daniel didn't have the specific part I needed, but called around to other local shops to see if anyone had it on hand. With none found nearby, he and Alexis helped me problem solve from that point on. I called AAA to tow my SUV to a repair shop back home, and Daniel was already on the phone with local taxi services to to help us a way to Cedar Point, without me even asking. Alexis then called Fleet One for a rental and a Ford Explorer was delivered to the auto shop in less than 15 minutes! The tow truck came quickly as well, and Daniel provided a written analysis of the issue and parts needed to pass along to my local shop. What's even more impressive, is that he refused to collect a dime for his and his team's time, diagnosis, and help. They even cleaned up a wound and provided a bandaid for one of my son's friends who was with us! I was in tears by the time I left, grateful for the good people that God placed us close to at a time of need. I highly recommend Tom's Auto Repair to anyone in the Norwalk area and will always be a fan! Thanks again for saving my son's 13th birthday and keeping us safe, Daniel & team. I don't personally know these people at all, but I have used them twice in the last year for big repairs, one on a 2009 Mercedes and another on a 2009 VW Touareg. Our experience with Fitzgerald Body Shop has always been exceptional in the past. When a rock was…read morekicked across the highway, scraping the hood of my car, shattering the windshield, and damaging the roof, I knew that's where I wanted my vehicle to go to be repaired. What I didn't know is that Caliper Collision had bought them out. No big deal, it's a preferred repair shop for my insurance company, so I'm sure it will be fine. Boy, was I wrong. My car was damaged on 8/4/21. L&M Towing in Vermilion came to get it that day and it was towed to Caliper in Monroeville that afternoon. All of the photos from the scene were sent to my insurance and I discussed in detail with the collision shop as to what damage was done. Payment was issued on 8/6/21 and repairs started to happen. It took longer than usual to get the windshield as it had to be OEM and I understood that because everything is taking some time with COVID. On 8/19/21 my car was finally completed and my husband went to pick it up. Not only had they not done the repair to the damage on the roof of the car, they had over sprayed my bumper and windows. The roof was pointed out and we had a picture from the accident scene yet they just didn't do it? Completely unacceptable. He was told that they would get it fixed and that it would be ready for pick up again soon. On 8/23/21 I was called and told that the overspray was taken care of and that the roof had been repaired. Again my husband went to pick it up. This time the paint was beautiful but the interior of the car still has glass pieces in it and there were black greasy handprint on the tan headliner and sun visor. He was told they would get it cleaned up, again, and it would be ready in the morning. I went to day, 8/24/21 to attempt to pick the car up again. The body work is perfect and the interior is clean but they decided to put my EZ pass and dash cam back on the windshield. This would be fine if they had put them where they belonged but they just put them wherever they wanted to put them. The EZ pass is not up and behind the mirror as I had it but in my line of vision. The dash cam placement now catches the block box behind the rearview mirror so I won't have a clear view of the road on camera. Yes, these can be moved but they should have never been put back on without being crystal clear as to where they went. I shouldn't have to scrape them off of a brand new windshield and remove the glue and place them again. The lady in the office offered to have them fix it but I didn't have the time or patience to wait any longer for my vehicle. Overall I am frustrated and exhausted with this experience. Work that was done was done lazily and some work was just skipped, and although all issues were fixed, it should have never happened like this. The EZ pass and dash cam are frankly not a big deal, but after dealing with issues for almost 3 weeks I am a little more than annoyed that I have to take the time to remove them, clean the windshield, and put them where they belong. I most definitely would not recommend this repair shop to anyone.

He attempted to deliver the car to Mansfield Honda on that Saturday evening, but the lot was gated, locked, and blocked with vehicles. He called me, clearly frustrated, but said he couldn't in good conscience leave the car there. He took it back to his lot and stored it where he assured me video cameras would be pointed at it. I thought that was reassuring. The dealer was closed Sunday, so he attempted to deliver the car on Monday, and the dealership gave him grief, saying he should have left the car outside the gate with the keys in it. They were not willing to pay him for storage. John was a professional and left the car and I'm currently trying to get Honda to own this.
