Shoddy, amateur workmanship and no integrity. Not only did they keep my vehicle for days longer than expected, but they concealed their poor workmanship. Their installation damaged the surrounds on my mid-woofers, costing me $2,167.74 to replace the speakers. According to Cartunes of Atlanta, the damage was caused strictly due to incorrect installation methods. According to the speaker manufacturer, Polk Audio, the speakers could not be repaired. Also, they mounted the crossovers inside the door panels where they were exposed to moisture/water instead of in the cabin, as is customary. Chavez refused to accept any responsibility. read more

I had a new Alpine INE-W970HD head unit installed to replace my factory unit in my 2012 Dodge Ram 1500. Chavez is very honest and I am very happy with the work. We had some hiccups but it was not due to Chavez but more due to the factory amplifier in the Dodge/Jeep vehicles. Chavez was quick to help and resolved the issue with direction from Alpine as it was a known issue. He also installed a new backup camera and I can't tell the difference from factory which is what I was looking for. When I called the owner of this store, he quoted me a head unit, 4 speakers, and subwoofer for around $800 including labor if I bought the parts from him. When I arrived, I requested the deal we spoke about on the phone, he said he will only give me a head unit, 2 speakers, and a subwoofer and handed me the ticket to pay him $1,400. This made no sense and knew I was dealing with a dishonest hustler at this point. I should've left, but I wanted to get the work done so I stuck it through. I said this is nothing like we spoke about on the phone when you quoted me two extra speakers and now you're charging me $600 more than what we spoke about on the phone. His employee screwed up the installation that I had to take it back to Chavez Electronics two times for them to try and fix it. The music sounded so bad when I turned it on like the speakers were about to blow or had already been blown. His employee would wiggle the wires connected to the back of the speakers and adjust the amp settings. Nothing worked and the speakers sounded so bad and distorted that I stopped using them and took them to another shop. They found out that one speaker Chavez Electronics installed was touching the door, shorting the connection, the other speaker settings on the amp were so high, it blew the speaker out, and the left, right, and subwoofer wires were plugged into the wrong ports on the amp. The owner is not running an honest business. He's trying to make as much money as he can possibly get away with. You would be wise to go somewhere else. This was a really bad experience. read more

I installed a alarm system and starter back on October 26/2021$850.00 cost .Then by January /2022 I noticed that the alarm wasn't working and the locking system was messed up because two doors didn't locked and when I opened the alarm didn't went off. By March or April I came by Mr Chavez shop and he said that probably the motors weren't working so I came back to get thi check.. they said that certainly the motors in the doors were not working so they tried to charge me $200.00 on top of the $850.00 paid for this installation. After they made me pay another $100.00 I got the " new motors " installed. Few weeks later... the driver door doesn't lock with the alarm and one of the "!new motor " replaced doesn't open or close the door . I spoke to Mr Chavez but it looks like he wants to do the fixing ( not guaranteed he said ) to keep charging for installing defective parts and labor which was wrongly done from the beginning and he doesn't wants to take responsibility on $950.00 dollars Defective job. I am reporting this business to BBB , Consumer report because he is not trying to fix wherever he got paid for already. read more

I will start off by saying I always support local business, and I am a repeat customer at Chavez Audio, I've had over 4 stereo systems installed in various vehicles throughout the years, I've recommended them to many of my friends, I always avoid places like Best Buy because I feel that small shops deserve business more. This was the worst experience I had with this shop over 4 years, repeat loyal customer. Something has changed with the owner, his attitude was very foul. He wouldn't price match anything, his selection is limited, he has stickers for Kenwood but doesn't carry any Kenwood. Not only did they damage my car, but I basically sat around for 3 hours because he was installing a "much more expensive system" on another customers vehicle. I understand that you're running a business but don't treat repeating customers like trash. I also understand why he has a sign now that says "No refunds, all sales final, exchanges only" it's because he does sloppy work such as the work done to my car and I am sure he's had issues in the past. When I brought up pricing the owner audibly laughed at me and stated "hey man why are you trying to save a couple of dollars". It's called being a conscioentious consumer, and not getting ripped off. Everything in this store is overpriced. I will never recommend this store to anyone and tell them to go to Best Buy instead from now on. The 5 Star Reviews compelled me to call this place as I needed a fm modulator installed in my car. My alternative to replacing the factory and keeping everything classic and uniform, I opted for this addition to add digital music to my older car. A great conversation was had over the phone and I was quoted a fair price. Even offered $10 less due to a competitors price. The owner told me his availability and confirmed location. I was there in about 30 minutes to find he had another car he was working on at the moment. He told me it would be an hour wait and I made an appointment for 2pm leaving my phone number for him to call when he was close to being done. He could have just set my appointment over the phone initially to avoid the hassle of coming back, but I did not complain. I used the time to run a few errands....very slowly so I could make it back. 2pm came and went with no call and I got caught up doing other things. This device has been sitting in my car for weeks so I was in no hurry to get it installed, but while it was being quoted and shopped, I wanted to get it done and check it off the "To-Do List:". Not being hungry for business, I called him back around 4pm when I was through. He said he tried to call me. My phone had no missed calls. He told me that he could get me in now and I was on the way. This time, no wait. Got it right in and installed within the same hour. It was short, maybe 30 minutes. I waited in a lone chair facing a wall of products while I worked on some paperwork in the store.I felt like I was sitting in the time out chair in the corner, but I was busy doing work so just did not worry about it. I paid and left happier. I played with the dash area just checking everything out and my dash was very loose. I slight tug on on the ashtray and it ripped right out. Assuming I did not speak nor understand Spanish they spoke candidly around me while I was there. Nothing bad was said,but I understood that his younger son (guessing his son based on previous reviews) did most of the installation and was having issues. He had the wrong harness and could not locate screws to reinstall. I U-turned in the middle of the street heading back into traffic. It's 5pm on Buford Hwy, give me a break. I get back and told him there was a problem. His older son came out with him to see what was the issue. I showed him the pulled out ashtray and he acted as if was not a problem. He did not understand my issue. Saying they found it like that. He pushed it back in. I slightly tugged on it and it pulled right back out. He told me that was how they found it. That he had worked on several of these cars, and it has to snap in place with 2 clicks. I pointed out 2 additional clicks in the rear that he did not mention. I asked him to correct it. He refused. He called me a liar and said that I was making it up that the ashtray was not lose. Sir, I know my car! This was not like this until I brought it to you! I was quite agitated. I pleaded my case and he would not do anything but push it in place. It was offline and loose. Now I may have an older car but it's in good shape and still on the road because I take care of it. I brought my car to you for to add value to it, not create a problem. Over the phone he convinced me to come to him because of his strong "Google Reviews". I do not concur.To difuse the situation as my voice and his voice were escalating, I just said, "Okay." Your right, and I am wrong. I am wrong for coming here and would have preferred to spend the extra $10 to have it done completely right. Leave things how you found them would be my recommendation to this company. Leave this company alone would be my recommendation to someone looking for top work. It was not the worst, but definitely not the best. I did my research, they answered my questions with knowledgeable answers and their prices aren't the highest or lowest. They did my install the same day, fitting me in, because I had a time crunch. The installer could do this stuff in his sleep I believe and they know what they are talking about. If you have any experience with this field of business, you still want them to know what you don't and if you don't know anything, they will be nice and answer your questions. I heard them answer some really dumb questions while I was waiting, but most importantly, you would have never known they were "dumb" questions. You will not notice this place if you driving by fast on the main road. It's a small family own shop in which you deal directly with the owner/installer/cashier. I was able to discuss what type of speakers needed for my 2007 Camry with the installer while watching him doing my car right at the shop. You can voice concern, suggestion as the installation goes on. Over all experience was pleasant and I was able to drive off with my back speakers replaced and roughly 30 minutes. When I showed up with my car in tow (literally)they got right on the problem, had my car cranked within 5 minutes and when they completely removed my car security system they only charged my $60 to PROFESSIONALLY remove my alarm. They left the dash board in BETTER shape than when I arrived! They fixed all my DIY mess, were courteous, very helpful and honest. I recently visited Chavez Electronics this past Saturday, November 23rd to have my 12" sub-woofer and amp installed in my 2017 Chevy Camaro. I found them on google and they had over 300 google reviews & 4+ stars, so I felt confident coming here knowing my car would sound perfect when I left. I arrived around 10:45 am and the store was not open. I called before I arrived to make sure they were not busy (called the store at 10:38am, arrived at 11:05 am and said he would be there soon, and then finally arrived around 11:30am.) He came in, asked me what equipment I already had and then told me the other things i needed (wiring kit $49.99, i needed a smaller box, so a ventilated 12" box $65, the converter kit $149 and then charged $120 for labor. I finally left around 2:15pm and he didn't seem to have tested out my system like he should have before I left. When I pulled off and got down the road I noticed my sub was not putting out the amount of power that it has before in the past. Also, there was an echoing sound, the sub is giving off some type of interference and is not wired correctly. I called the shop back to tell the owner and he said something along the lines of "yes there is another wire somewhere we couldn't find it, thats causing that echo noise, just bring it back and we can find it and fix it." If you were aware before I left that you had done an incomplete job, then why would you allow your customer to leave or not disclose that information. He said that newer cars have been making changes so he didn't know where the cord was that's causing the interference. I will be returning today & requesting a partial/full refund for the labor. This was the worst experience I've had, no waiting area for customers, I sat in a fold out lawn chair while I waited as another person left in their review as well. Just be careful and do your homework. I'm regretting not going back to Arman's car audio to have my audio installation done. But I will definitely never visit here again or recommend them to anyone read more

I had them install an entire car's worth of stereo system into my ride. I have a infiniti g35 coupe. They installed a Pionner Double Din avh x2600 bt head unit. Powering the in car speakers which is 4 6's, 2 6x9's, and 2 tweeters is a 1000Watt MB Quarts Onyx amp. Then, powering the JL Audio 12inch sub is 1 2200Watt Audio Bahn amp. They did the wiring and the programming for my steering wheel. It sounds just amazing, crystal clear highs, full mid's, and BOOMING base and the drop of a hat. I'm totally impressed and simply amazed how great the stereo sounds. The work is fast, professional and efficient. These guys really know how to take care of their customers. Not once did I ever feel high pressured, or that they were ever trying to get one over on me. Every recommendation made sense, and I took them up on their offer. The system is perfect, and they answered every and all the questions that I had. Great crew to work with there, and amazing work. I can't say enough good things about them. I normally don't do reviews unless there is a reason. Well I had what I would consider a simple job for professionals...install new rear speakers in my 07 Jaguar convertible. Sounds simple....not so much. I was quoted a price (around $250) and an install time of 1-1.5 hrs. Well after watching the installer drop the top and in the parking space in front of the shop begin to "rip my car apart" to get to the speaker housing while tossing screws and pieces where ever he felt....I literally had to walk away. This guy was pleasant BUT I don't believe that he has ever worked a car like mine. Jerking, pulling and cutting things made me very uncomfortable. After 3-4 hrs finally got the rear speakers in and then one had NO sound...smh. He said your amp must be blown....smh (why not check everything before ripping it all apart and THEN diagnosing the system????) TO TOP IT ALL OFF, he messed up a cover panel on the convertible top and it doesn't work properly to this day.....long story short. I am dissatisfied and just wanted to leave. I have since bought a new 5 channel amp, EQ, new components for the front door, and a 8" shallow mount sub all to be installed. Where am I going to take it???? NOT HERE! I got myself into a fix buying an Alpine head unit and Kicker speakers from Crutchfield thinking I could install them myself. I've put speakers and head units in before, but my 2014 civic was a lot harder to work in. Before you throw away your hard earned valued money , look up your stereo equipment online (ebay,amazon,craigslist etc) for way better deals. This guy's prices are over the roof when on online you can save a good amount of money. His package deals on his website are basically almost a plain decade old outdated JL audio equipment, same goes with the other "package" brands. Plus , to push 2 12s you need a 1k amp or atleast a 500watt to push some clean base not some bullshit small wattage JL audio amp to push to 12s. Ok ..thats called underpowering the subs which can blow them and your money goodbye "Free Installation" yeah right, the installation fee is already included in the "deal" plus add the wiring fees and what not other bullshit to try to squeeze chips out of you. These guys gotta make their "cut" on merchandise but not on my watch!
