The curly fries tasted exactly how you'd expect. The mac and cheese was more soupy/creamy versus cheesy. When I mean cheesy, I mean that I wanna see that mozzzzzzzuhhrella type cheese pull. I'm writing this because I'm pissed off at the low star reviews for this place. Are you seriously complaining that the fries come from a bag and are too twisty? Go get overpriced limp fries from 5 Guys then. You understand nothing about fry technology if you're hot and heavy for in house fries. This place makes macs. I only tried the mac. I agree that if you put something on your menu you are subject to criticism but I only care about the mac. And the mac is good. The Buffalo Mac met expectations for the flavor profile and I saw plenty of other options too. For a no frills mac this one is hard to beat but prepare your arteries accordingly because this one was a thick customer. It's not pictured well but there were pieces of serviceable fried chicken throughout the dish. Super rich and heavy but somedays that's all you want. Arrived at the Midtown pod around 6 in the evening. To find most pods closed or perhaps never opened on a beautiful, sunny Sunday. The carts my family and I were interested in were of course closed. We gathered to meet with friends, because we had family visiting from out of town, and we needed a variety of food options ( dietary choices, picky eaters, etc. ). My family, non meat eaters (children in particular) found the Mac n cheese to be the only appetizing option at that time; settled on Monster Mac. It was disappointing to say the least. No imagination to this Mac just an unseasoned sauce tossed over elbow macaroni. Where is the imagination besides throwing some toppings into a uber basic sauce and up-charging. It was a more watery cheese sauce that needed a little more flavor, but the noodles were cooked perfectly. Good portion size and not bad for the price, especially for a late night meal. The food came out in a timely manner and the guy who checked us out was telling us how they're new to the block. This place is located in the Midtown Beer Garden, which is a revamped food cart lot. It is a great location with plenty of other choices of food, and even a cart with beer and other boozy drinks. I've been to this cart two times, and have been greeted with friendly employees each time. I've tried two of their mac n cheeses, and they've been delicious both times. So I was here the other night as forced on me by the Jewish Stepparents visiting from Flo-rida. There was no good food carts in this pod with the exception of the Chinese women in the metal tin cart. The fries were not made in-house but came directly a bag. The twisty fries, were too twisty and therefore I got tangled in its essence. The worst worst part of all this was when I went back to ask for "some" ketchup, the stingey guy working gave me one and dared to charge me one USD for a second one. He could have told me to F my Mother and I would have been less insulted. Who in the world charges for ketchup? Who rations out ketchup? What third world country am I living in where I have to pay for ketchup? When confronted, the guy said "I put a free ranch dressing in your box of fries." That's when I knew this guy was missing a couple screws in his head, because he thinks french fries with ranch.
