Awesome mini golf course!

Monster Mini Hold is an indoor mini golfing experience. The theme is glow in the dark with non scary monsters so it's perfect for kids birthday parties, date night and group get togethers of all ages! The holes were not too challenging so more fun then difficult. The staff plays different games with you along the way for prizes as well. They also have some arcade games, not a huge selection, but just enough and a party room for larger groups I also saw laser tag, but I didn't do that this time, but will next time! The staff was super friendly and helpful and the place was very clean and organized. When you win tickets on a lot of the games, the machines store your tickets on a card so you don't have to carry around gobs of tickets! That was very convenient! Reasonably priced and the wait isn't too bad. Kids love it, and it's a nice date spot. Although the arcade doesn't offer too many choices, the games they have are pretty good. read more

Three small kids under 6 and event is indoor with all the heat but good enough for them to entertain themselves. Looks like a haunted house but not at all... very kid friendly. read more

This place is a fun outing for family and friends! This was our first time and we had a Blast! My niece and nepheware visiting from Vegas and this was a great way to keep them entertained without breaking the bank. I wish the prizes that they children earn didn't require so many tickets. Mini golf course is pretty basic. BUT the games they have are not bad. Dave & Buster's quality games, only way fewer. The convenience and charm of MG is why we go back. Decent prize selection and workers are friendly. Get some grub at Subway then walk over to this spot for some fun and games. We love it! read more

The staff are clueless. We were told the golf would be an hour wait but it turned out to be less. My group was also told the laser tag arena wait would be 5 minutes but it ended up taking 30 minutes. We wouldn't have signed up if we knew it would take that long. Don't waste your money on this place when there's better customer service at other places. read more

Monster Mini Golf, I wanted to like you so much. I really really did. The idea of a Halloween themed, indoor miniature golf course just spoke to me on so many levels. Unfortunately, your own success is your biggest downfall. I came here with a friend on Saturday January 11th. It was about 6pm so it was already crowded with young teens and families with children. The extremely friendly teen cashier told us it would be about a 30 minute wait. No problem. We found some seats and waited for our number to be called. Considerably less than 30 minutes later our number was called. Yay! or so we thought. I think perhaps they have overestimated the number of people that can be on the course at any given time. This led to us often having to stand on tiny ledges or sit on props in order to allow the party behind us to putt without interfering with the party in front of us. Most families were considerate and did similar things, however there were some extremely rude patrons that let their kids hit other people's balls, jump ahead in line etc. The staff, comprised mostly of young people, was ill equipped to handle the complaints of the rule following customers so they just fell on deaf ears. There was no manager to be seen. I think, perhaps, if my first experience was not during such a busy time, I would be able to focus on the positive such as the spooky/whimsical decor, the extremely clean bathrooms and the generally fun atmosphere and music. That was, unfortunately, not the case. Note: The have gorgeously decorated party rooms, very much reminiscent of Beetle-juice. I think it might be worth it to rent out the place for a party. read more

This is really a fun family activity- especially on a hot summer day! May have a bit of a wait as it's pretty popular, but it's really fun. Lots for kids to do in the arcade area while waiting your turn to start playing mini golf. read more

Wow. I didn't even know that we had indoor mini golf until recently. Monster mini golf is located off NW Military in the same shopping center as Harvest Bread. I think the space was originally a fitness center. This mini golf is all glow in the dark, with a haunted house/Halloween theme going on. It looks really neat when first walking in because all of the golf course barriers are glowing. I have to admit that this mini course requires some skill. There are plenty of zig zags and offset nooks to keep the game interesting. This place gets crowded. Even after work on a weekday there were a decent amount of people. Since it is indoors there is not a lot of space between each hole. This can be annoying because some kids don't understand personal space and are standing right up on you hoping that you will hurry up and finish so they can take over. Once you hit about the 9th or 10th hole things seem to space out better. One hole has a huge talking tree a la Lord of the Rings. Another has a talking monster, so it's a good idea to prepare the little kids a bit beforehand so they won't be terrified. I walked around and the party rooms are NICE. They had faux chandeliers with skulls and were very well sectioned off from the golfing area. The rest of the space has video games/ski ball/air hockey etc. Some nights Monster golf is open until 10pm so good for older kids too. read more

Just had a great birthday here for my daughter. I think everyone had a good time which is the most important thing. I had taken a chance after finding the venue here on yelp, having never visited before, and I was very happy with our experience. I booked a party room, the Monster Package, It was ready for us early which was great since cupcakes never win against the Texas heat, and I'm ALWAYS early. The room was decorated perfectly and featured a fridge and microwave, pretty ingenious there. Our party hostess Alexis was very nice and helpful. I wasn't quite expecting it, but the hosts are prepared to, well, host! I went in thinking mellow, serve yourself, if you want dessert before pizza go for it, but she had an agenda and I think that was much better in the end. They have a set time frame for everything and that kept the party flowing nicely. You can tell they do this many times a day. The protocol for the kids was food, hosted games, cupcakes/cake, golf, arcade. I would suggest extra entertainment during the food portion, like games or balloons or face painting. The adults are more than happy to mingle, munch, and compare war stories, but for the kids, especially classmates who saw each other just the day before, and having just walked thru a loud, neon Pleasure Island with millions of tickets to be won, well, they may not want to sit still. I did not get a chance to go thru the golf course, but watched longingly with an overly tired baby looking on as well. But I saw nothing but smiling faces at the end of the course. I give this venue a four based on just two things: 1. The party hostess obviously knew more than me, instead of asking me how I wanted things done, once I expressed I had no idea what I was doing, I wish she had just taken the reins, told me to just be pretty, and take over the party herself. 2. They REALLY rush you out at the end of your time. They keep the time well, I do not. I wish I had been told once the kids go out to golf, it's time to get your stuff and go. I didn't know that, so when we were being moved out it felt very rushed, and that's quite hard with an over tired baby you can't put down without ear piercing screams. They do store your things in their break room, including things to be refrigerated, which was great. But since no one knew to take their personal things to golf, I was left with four purses and a couple of diaper bags (and countless balloon animals and favor bags) that I got to play my own game with: match the parent to the bag. Hard in broad daylight, harder in the dark. As long as you know the protocol though, the parties there can't be anything but great. I'm a Chuck E Cheese mom who was sick of that damn rat. I have absolutely no complaints about Monster Golf. I went here with my husband, friend, and little brother and sister-in-law. We all had a great time. The staff is friendly and the golf is fun. It's decently priced and and there is an arcade to kill time while waiting to start your golf game, or after you finish it. The party rooms looked so cool too. Made me wish I had kids so I could throw their birthday party there. :D read more

I purchased a Groupon online for 8, but unfortunately only four of us made it out. I thought for sure I would lose out on the other four, but I was mistaken :) I received 4 admission for next time. My daughter and I had a great time!! We will definitely come again and I would recommend this to anyone looking to have a great time :) read more

This place is so cool and they play good music. The place was pretty packed somehow.. I went to san antonio for spring break and expected people to be in school.. oh well! I have no complaints about this place and I am glad that I bought the groupon for here. I will say that the people behind us were rude and should teach their child to NOT golf when it's not their turn.. but nope they let their 4 year old putt putt at the same time that my daughter was trying to putt putt.. .. and this was the whole time.. so will like to try it again another time and hope to have a different experience.. Went the other day and it was great. The employes were nice and friendly. It was a busy night the wait was not that bad. The arcade games kept me and my boyfriend entertained during the wait. The glow in the dark effect was the best part it made it so much fun to play. I saw that it had two party rooms which was cool maybe thinking of having a kid party there. This place is so much fun! A nice place to get out of the San Antonio heat. They have fun video games for the family to play. You can win tickets to redeem for prizes as well. While you're golfing the workers play little trivia games where players can win prizes. The music is lively yet still appropriate for the younger kids. It's clean and has fun glow in the dark decorations to add to the fun. You should wear clothing that has some white so that you can glow as well. We've been there several times and have enjoyed it every time. What's really great is that on your way out you'll receive a free game, what's better than that?! Depends on who you take as an older adult not the place to entertain me but as an adult with kids it's perfect for them. They have an arcade to help but it's smaller then some places and they try to do cute interactive games, like win a prize if you have a pink ball. But the place is small and you have to wait a while for the groups in front of you. And they are more simpler courses. But worth at least trying. read more

This was a super awesome place to spend some family time! I got the groupons which made the mini golf and laser tag very affordable for my family of four. The course is fun. Everything glows in the dark and some of the objects move. The DJ usually has mini games played while your playing putt put and you can win some fun prizes. The only downfall is that it gets crazy busy here in the summer time. During the school year, it's not as crowded and it doesn't get as stuffy.. (rising temps). My husband and I went here on a sunday it was not to busy compared to other reviews we got there a little after noon so right after they opened. there was a small family in front of us so no big wait. The music was awesome. i thought the inside would have been bigger but it still was fun. I think the holes need a little different design. They throw great parties. We had 30 people in attendance for my son's birthday, from toddlers to teens to senior citizens, and everyone had a great time. Our designated hostess anticipated our needs and was very helpful. Unlike other children's party venues, Monster Mini Golf takes a more active role in entertaining the kids. Many places assume the facility is entertaining enough and leave it to the parents to keep the kids happy. That's not the case for MMG. I was impressed, as were our guests. In fact, I think my sister plans to have my nephew's next birthday party there, too. read more

My boyfriend and I are from Arlington Tx, and I happen to be a shift manager at a mini golf/game room. As someone who is at a place like this 5 days a week I can honestly say this place was great! Every employee that I saw there spoke to me and was super nice! The golf course was a lot of fun! Came here with the family (husband and three kids- 15, 11, 10) to have some fun out of the rain. Employees were polite and helpful. Facility was clean and the bathrooms well kept. The course had 17 holes with obstacles and cheat shot holes as well. We all REALLY enjoyed our time here. read more

Place was decent! Would totally recommend for children, set up is unique! Only complaint is that it's a small facility so you are literally right next to your neighbor only separated by flooring. Other than that, a recommendation! read more
