    Amazing and Fresh!

Creepy as fuck. Sad actually. At the bar is a bunch of 60 year old plus regulars. I come in for a few beers as a local minding my own business and i am constantly bombarded with hammered old people who obviously cant handle thier alcohol and were probably banned elsewhere in the area for thier shitty behavior. They touch me, talk to me and get all upset when i tell them i am minding my own business and would just like to be left alone. Tonight was no different, i had to make a scene and tell the old lady to stop touching me and just to leave me alone as i was not interested in what she had to say about nothing. She just wouldnt stop and let up. Uggh. Sadly nobody, not even the bartender intervened as it it was obvious this old drunk lady was a regular. Whatever. It makes it very hard to want to come here for a drink and or meal if this is the kind if clientele that is allowed to stay and or being in fear of running into this nonsense each time I want to come. This is a a actually the second time this has happened to me here, first time about 6 months ago. I cant be sure, but i think this is the same old drunk lady and bartender from the last time this exact same thing happened to me. Get rid of these embarrassments. If they cant behave themselves, they should be sent on their way. Money isnt everything.

One of Freeport's oldest pizzerias. I don't come here too often but when I do it's decent. My slice was a bit too salty for my liking. The restaurant inside it's pretty and the decor is nice so I will give them that. Everyone at the counter was very pleasant as well. Minus 1 star for the salty slice :)

    Montana' s Baked Manicotti

Decided on a the first snowy night of the season to try new eats with a good local friend and try Freeport's Montana Brother's. She opted for fried Chicken Cutlet Capricosa which came with a side of pasta and salad. It looked great, but too much for me size wise. So I opted to order one of their pasta dishes. The Baked Manicotti, since we were pairing it with red wine thought it would be filling enough. Although I have to say I thought it would be a touch bigger/more. It was basically just two Manicotti stuffed with ricotta, swimming in plenty if their Mariana and loosely covered with mozzarella cheese. The cheese really wasnt over the two Manicotti, but more so bunched towards top of dish. Who knows maybe is shifted, accidentally, but made it hunked there to be cut through and added to your bite. Nevertheless it did taste alright, nothing crazy, very mild/standard. No real spice/flavor jumping out trying to win the palate. The portion was good for me I suppose since I didn't want anything too big, but for the value of dish I think they could have easily made it at least 3 Manicotti. I think I will try them again, but maybe go for one of their Pizzette's to see if that's where they really excel.

My pizza slice was drenched in sauce and it was sloppy and just no good. The garlic knots had no garlic. Atleast the guy was nice.

This is a review from their new Merrick location ..a wonderful overall experience. They have a full service bar, a traditional pizzeria on one side . Dining room on the other and outdoor dining area . Love the decor Santina was very attentive .her aunts homemade tiramisu was delicious..the fried calamari rings only as I requested, veal camillino with mushroom sauce was very good , pizzette with cauliflower crust was delightful ,,salmon with spinach was also good..plenty of free parking in the shopping center ..also some night they have a live singer

Our waitress made us feel completely comfortable we were laughing, having side conversations, and genuinely enjoying ourselves all night. By the end of the evening, she even said, "Goodnight, love you!" and quickly laughed saying she didn't mean to say it. That pretty much summed up the vibe of the night friendly, relaxed, and memorable. The food was excellent from start to finish. I had the Caesar salad appetizer, which was very good, and my sister had the calamari, which she said was excellent. For our entrées, we both ordered the chicken parmesan with alavaca sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. To finish the night, we shared the crème brûlée for dessert, and it was the perfect treat. The portion is definitely big enough for two people, so I wouldn't recommend ordering one per person. The location is beautiful and right by the water true to the restaurant's name. The only small thing to note is the parking. There are two parking lots, and the first one is definitely the better option. The second lot leads closer to the waterfront entrance and can feel a little tight and snug when parking. Overall, we had an amazing time and would absolutely go back. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service.

Overcooked shrimp and tough frozen calamari rings. My eggplant parmigiana was terrible. One bready soggy piece with skimpy mozzarella and a tiny side order of spaghetti. For the prices charged I expected more.

We were seated at a table and took a while to be met by a server. Restaurant had a very traditional Italian restaurant vibe, which was executed well. Took a while for someone to come take our drink order, and we were given bread. Seemed like there was only 1 or 2 servers covering the whole place, so that could have been why it took a bit. Dinner orders were taken, and honestly came out very quickly. I had gotten a brick oven pizza, that was actually very tasty. We opted for some dessert as well, and ended up getting the three ice cream options they had. No picture because our kids devoured them. A cozy little Italian spot close to home. The wood fired oven gives a nice char to the crust and creates nice "bubble trouble" as Portnoy affectionately calls them. If there was a little more sauce and more generous helping of sausage, this pizza would be even better. As it was, we still really enjoyed it. The salad was good too. Lots of dressing but not soggy. Dressing was interestingly slightly sweet but still pleasant. Overall a very enjoyable meal! Next time, will try to eat in.

I understand that not every place is child-friendly, but this is a pizza place! We are excited to introduce our kids to a variety of cuisines from a young age, and we thought pizza would be a good choice. They aren't chicken fingers and fries kinda kids . The food was decent; I wouldn't go as far as to say it was the best pizza I've ever had. However, the meal was overshadowed by the hostess's attitude. Throughout our visit, she kept glaring at us every time one of the kids made even the slightest noise. It felt incredibly unwelcoming. To make matters worse, they do not provide high chairs. When we mentioned that we'd still like to stay despite that, since our one-year-old can sit in a regular chair, it felt like a battle just to get one. It was clear that the hostess was eager for us to leave. Our meal felt rushed, as if we were being timed on how quickly we could eat. Her continual glares were uncomfortable, especially since we were seated right next to the hostess stand. It's unfortunate how much a bad hostess can negatively impact a dining experience. I genuinely hope the management realizes this and considers better training for their staff. Overall, this experience made it clear to me that I won't be returning. They really need to work on creating a welcoming environment for families. Especially because of the town they are located in.

When I said no, we were told they had many reservations coming in and that we could either wait or return at 8 PM. The interaction felt cold, uninviting, and honestly a bit embarrassing. There was no effort to accommodate us or make us feel valued as potential customers. We chose to leave and went to another restaurant, where we had a much better experience.
