When I raised my concerns, Joe Taylor, the owner of Walsh Roofing, stated that the task has been completed because a repair using all new materials would have cost more and that I likely would have cancelled the work. I fail to see how receiving a reasonable quote for a professional repair would result in canceling a job. He will tell you that he does, but in my experience, he is not an experienced handyman. Tom will underestimate a job, agree to a price, and then change the price once he realizes the job is more difficult or time-consuming than he expected. I hired Tom to install a gazebo that several other experienced technicians told me would take about a day. It took Tom three days. We agreed on a set price a month before the job, but once he realized he was over his head and needed to hire an additional handyman, he put that extra cost on me. I paid the additional amount for his handyman even though I felt I shouldn't have had to, because the additional expense resulted from his lack of understanding of the job. He also tried to charge me more because the gazebo took him longer than expected, despite telling me that he was having issues understanding the instructions. The additional time and difficulty were not my fault. Tom is also very slow, and a simple project may take two to three times longer because of his inexperience. On top of that, he initially was not going to clean up the mess he left at my house after I told him I would not pay extra for the additional time. Thankfully, he eventually cleaned it up with my help. Tom will give you one price and, if he runs into difficulties due to his inexperience, ask for more money and change the original quote. DO NOT HIRE HIM, and do not rely on his quoted price or claimed experience. Trust me, you will regret it.

Excellence from start to finish…read more I recently contracted with Revolution Roofing, working closely with their representative Andrew Collier. I interviewed many roofing companies and decided on Revolution for several reasons. First and foremost, Andrew and his team discovered issues with my roof that other roofing companies had failed to point out. I had a drainage issue with an almost completely flat portion of the roof. Andrew and his team came up with a solution that will prevent pooling and drainage issues in the future. Second, Andrew was quick to respond to questions and gather answers and information necessary for me to make an informed decision. Other companies failed to respond in a timely manner, if at all. Third, Andrew and the team took time to come out and visit the house several times prior to replacement, take pictures, have meetings formulating a plan, and developing a solution for a roof that will last for decades. Once the replacement began, the team started early and worked late, to ensure the process moved quickly. Each night the roof was secured to protect from any possible rain that might occur through the evening. They were in constant contact with me, either by call or text, sharing pictures, to inform me of situations they found as they uncovered the old roof, and offered different solutions for my opinion on how to correct them. As the job came to a close, the team quickly cleaned up all debris. Andrew made a site visit once the crew had left and spent time looking for any nails or materials that may have been missed.
