Had dinner with 2 friends a couple of weekends ago and here are the results. Two of us ordered the full rack of ribs and the other person ordered the fried buttermilk chicken with mashed potatoes. Both meals were very tasty and hot. Unfortunately the service was very slow as they did not have enough staff even though they were not busy. The waiter was friendly but you could see he was stressed. We would go back again as the food was great and pricing was good for the portion received. read more

I had an early lunch today at Montana's in Oakville. I sat on the lounge side and as people came in, that's where they were seated. I ordered Buttermilk Country Chicken (without veggies). The potatoes and chicken was good, though I found them a bit too salty. The gravy was good too and it surprisingly wasn't salty. Everything was hot. Kelsey was the bartender/server. The food was pretty good. Nothing super amazing but nothing terrible. The restaurant was nice looking as well. Very warm and comfy. The only issue me and my partner had while visiting was the server we had. I don't remember her name but she did an awful job. We got sat immediately upon entering but no server came to even get our drinks for about 20-25 minutes. the restaurant was pretty empty at the time as well. Once we ordered everything was pretty okay. Never had a server check in on our meal or ask us for any refills. Once we finished eating we had sat for about 40 minutes and not a single busser or server had approached us to ask if we had finished or needed anything else or if we wanted our bill. Our assigned waitress at this point had just disappeared. We had not seen her in over 30 minutes. Would go for the food but would rather not deal with that kind of service again. read more

Went there this friday have dinner with a friend. Place was empty when we got there. Server was ok, place was nice. When we got our order, the burger came with a side of fries that were clearly days old, guess instead of throwing them out they decided to try and serve them??!! We called the server and explained the situation. She apologized and couple of minutes after came back with fresh fries, still steaming hot. Burger was very juicy and delicious. The two stars review is for the nerve and disrespect of trying to serve days old fries to customers. read more

We came for dinner on a Tuesday night at the end of November. The parking lot and restaurant were nearly empty. We chalked that up to its 'remote' location but it should have been our clue. We liked the faux-rustic interior and our waiter was really nice and responsive, but the food was awful. A wine glass smelled like disinfectant as did its replacement. Our ribs were hard as a rock - we had to ask for sharper knives and getting the meat off the bone was still an epic struggle. The coleslaw had little to no dressing. The cornbread was too dry. The onion rings were ok but not much onion. It was the worst meal I'd ever had in a restaurant. read more

This is my second time making this mistake. While the food is not bad the service is unbearable. If you sit in the bar area be prepared to be down right ignored. There were literally 7 people in the bar and I waited 35 minutes for another drink while the bartender walked by while looking at my glass numerous times. I have tried here a few times since it is close to the hotel I stay at when visiting but I will try anywhere else next time. This is the second experience in a row with a similar outcome. read more

Solid 4.5 stars for amazing customer service! After my previous review, I was contacted by Cara food services in a Yelp message and was put in touch with the manager of this location, Michelle. We were asked to come back for another meal on the house to make up for the last visit. I have to say, Michelle and the staff went out of their way to ensure that we were tended to, and we had a much, much better experience. My partner had the all you-can-eat ribs and I had a chicken sandwich. We were both very happy with our food and the service was excellent. I am impressed that they reached out to me after I posted my last review, and absolutely did their best to rectify the situation. Based on this experience, I would recommend giving them a try--Just avoid the 7oz hand carved steak! Lol read more

Came here for lunch on a Friday in the bar area. The lunch menu is simple and has some decent choices although limited. You can still order off the main menu which isn't a problem. I had a Reuben sandwich with added meat for an additional 2 bucks. I had ordered a bloody caesar (or two) with bacon and I was happy. The sandwich was tasty. The bread was toasted just right and they top it off with a fried pickle. The fries were good, not too overcooked and the portion was just right. It's been a while since I've been to Montana's but I liked getting my memory refreshed today. It was a good experience and our server was very good too. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE! An absolutely awful place. We ordered in with delivery by DoorDash. Montana's forgot an entire meal, plus the salad dressing for the only salad ordered. It was a Caesar so the dressing was pretty much essential. And some of the lettuce in the salad was brown. We called to get the missing meal and the cowardly manager made a brand new employee tell us there was no way. We asked to speak to him and he said he had no drivers so he couldn't possibly get us the meal. No offer to make the meal and have us pick it up. Total brush off. He clearly didn't give a damn. We were promised a refund for the missing meal and a gift card. Nearly two weeks later, we have neither. Not that we ever plan to eat there again, but we would like a refund for the meal we never got. Pathetic. read more

When it comes to Montana's Restaurant..I am a little bias ( I worked there for 4 yrs). I love the food and I love the atmosphere. So on our weekly Friday lunch I took the group for lunch at my old stomping grounds. I have always found the food...comforting and savory. The ribs are smoked in house and you can even get an all you can eat option any day of the week. They have a great lunch menu which has some great options (lunch trio, soup, sandwich and salad/fries for under $10 bucks) Our group had Chicken fingers and fries, a Double Ruben sandwich with fries and I ordered the Lunch trio (Yankee pot roast soup, Beef Brisket sandwich and fries). We also ordered the usual round of beer, but my buddy ordered a Bacon Bloody Cesar (with candied bacon.mmm) The staff was friendly and the service was great! Montana's is a great option if your looking for a place to grab a pint and chill with your friends while have some great food!! read more

This place has great food, great service, and an amazing atmosphere. The live music adds to the wonderful environment.

We ate early (5pm) on a Friday. There were several parties going on in the main dining room so we were seated in the bar area. Our server was polite and efficient. Food was quick, hot and delicious. A couple of supervisors stopped by and inquired about our experience and provided us with discount coupons as we were leaving. We will definitely return. P.S. Try the warm cornbread. Second time being here at this specific location. Always ate at the bar side, and never failed to keep me happy. Last time I was here, I ate a big plate of nachos (keep in mind, the portion is HUGE)...however I didn't like it too much because I felt like the cheese wasn't melted enough to my satisfaction...however, this time I ordered the bacon mac and cheese and I loved it. Our server was Alex or Alexa? Can't remember, but she was the bartender as well. She was joyful and she made jokes with us :) With the bacon mac and cheese, I gotta say the bacon was *barely there* only like 4 pieces were at the very bottom...however, the overall taste was excellent. It had a crunch to it, which I can't attribute to the bacon because it was barely there, however, it made the mac and cheese just a little bit more delicious and enjoyable to eat. I loved it. I almost finished it, but it was a lot so I just sent it away. I'm assuming it's a location that is STRAW-FREE, so when you're ordering water or juices you might wanna ask for a straw if that's how you roll. Hard to spend money here. Asked if I could get steak salad with larger steak (10 oz. vs. 7 oz. )-No. Asked if I could get a side of Mac and cheese-no. No reasons. Just no. Friendly enough staff. Apparently just not empowered to be flexible. Prices fine. read more

Came here for lunch on a Sunday with my family and the first thing we noticed was how empty the restaurant was. Our server, Daniel did a great job - he was very kind to my daughter and was helpful with making selections. The food was on par with any big franchise restaurant - nothing special, but gave us fuel after a busy day in the sun. The biggest disappointment was how long it took for our food to arrive. We waited close to an hour for our lunch to come to the table and to quote my wife, "what's taking them so long? It's not like they're making any chef inspired creations back there [kitchen]!" Our dessert also took forever to come; all we ordered was the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream - should only take about 90 seconds in the microwave to warm up a cookie. The wait times for the food was like fine dining, but the quality was only middle of the pack. read more

Arrived at the restaurant and was seated quickly, Waited a while for our server to order drinks got pushy about us if we wanted apps. Finally choose what we want and waitress took forever to come back. She took our order for our app and dinner. We waited over 30 mins and we got our apps not even 1 min later our dinner showed up. Part of my dinner was missing. When told waitress she did not apologies just said " oh did you order that it will be here soon" you can taste it was rushed. The food I got was not good at all. My steak was supposed to be medium but came out like leather. The baked potato was cold and Cole slaw was dry. In my picture you don't see the steak because I sent it back. I tried to work with this meal but eventually threw in the towel. read more

Just stopped in grab a beer at the bar. 6 pm on a Friday. Two bartenders, looking busy. After 12 min of no service, I got up and left. Walked across the lot to Kelsey's, got a beer in front of me in 1 minute. With a competitive market like this, service makes a big difference. read more

Disappointing visit. After a trip to Ikea we drove out of the way to this Montana's and unfortunately it wasn't worth the trip. We were seated immediately and I recall thinking the restaurant didn't seem busy. I ordered the chicken wings from the starter menu and my husband ordered the steak fajitas. The food seemed to take quite a while and when it did come the wings were plain. I was surprised by the missing sauce given the server confirmed my choice twice. When he noticed the mistake he sent them back to be sauced but returned to the table minus the side ranch dip. Not a huge deal, I was hungry and wanted to eat before my meal became even less fresh. For $20 we would have expected the fajitas to come with guacamole. When we our server checked in a while later we requested additional napkins, tortillas and the missing ranch sauce. What seemed like a while later another employee walked by and slid the ranch on the table. I was done my meal at that point and the other items never showed up. Sure not huge issues but I think the kicker was that when we mentioned that were disappointed with the experience, rather than a genuine apology for or trying to understand or resolve the issue our server simply said sorry but there's nothing I can do, there's ju 2 servers on and it's crazy busy! It was a strange response. I've been to Montana's where there's been a wait for a table and had a fine experience. The restaurant was not what I would consider busy and we saw more than 2 servers in our area alone. read more
