I stayed in a spacious, nicely furnished studio overlooking the pool area. The hilltop location has beautiful views. The outdoor pool was nice and warm, and the hotel provides transportation to the beach. If you arrive by train they can send a car to pick you up. Monte's, the hotel's restaurant is also very good. Though a hefty price to pay for one night in a hotel, my studio room was so we'll appointed and comfortable.

The front desk is rude. We booked a studio for me and my 2 small children 8 and 9 yrs old. When we checked in the lady at the desk said we needed to upgrade if we wanted to take the shuttle, for $150. The room was plenty big for us 3 a couch and a queen bed. When we tried to book the shuttle they said room 202 was not allowed to ride the shuttle. Unbelievable.. They made me n my 2 kids take an uber. We also had a terrible experience at the restaurant. Service was terrible. Would never go back. read more

Our weekend stay was lovely. The unit we were in had a Murphy bed in the living room that was so well camouflaged as a wall unit that we didn't realize until housekeeping came to set it up for us. We also had a loft upstairs with two Queen beds and a full bathroom. There was also a bathroom downstairs. The kitchen was a decent size though we didn't cook since we ate at Monte's for almost all our meals. They cleaned and made the beds while we were out. One of us used the hot tub in the lower level. The staff was friendly. The lobby is beautiful. I just wish the parking lot was closer. The one by the main entrance is usually full so you have to park at the lower one which isn't far away but when it freezing and windy, it sure feels far. read more

Upon arrival you are met with threatening signs limiting your parking in the front area to 15 minutes, no valet. If the line to check in has more than one person, it will take you longer than 15 minutes. Upon check in, a plastic bag with 3 room remotes is thrust at you and your credit card is charged a deposit. You are expected to carry the remotes to your room and return them to the front desk when you check out. Not exactly "deluxe service". They also charge you for your room keys. The one main elevator is small and slow. It is often crowded. No attendant to help you with your bags. Some rickety luggage carts are available. My impression of the lobby is that it is old and dingy. Couches look worn. Miss Havisham would feel right at home. The room. If you are lucky to get a room facing east, the view is great. Very little privacy with respect to the other room balconies. So say hi to your neighbor. The room is also worn, chips in all the cabinets, furniture and chairs. There was a Keurig. On the second day we asked for some more coffee pods and were told "no". That was déclassé. The balcony chairs had green mold, the balcony small side table had burn marks. Our room didn't have a real closet. It was a small pocket closet. The other "Duplex" room. This room looked like it was decorated by Tony Hawk. Skateboard decks on the walls. No view. Not a real two bedroom, it has a loft, so I hope you like stairs. No privacy. No usb charging outlets in the rooms. Overall this is not a luxury hotel. And don't forget to return your remotes to the front desk on check out or else! read more

My hubby and I had a wonderful stay for 2 nights. My husband uses a scooter. Most of the hotels are not wheelchair friendly in Montauk. . Montauk manor was great! We stayed in a one bedroom unit that has a roll in shower. (There were no bars for the toilette which was difficult for us) They do have a shower chair but it was very small. There was a ramp out to a large balcony overlooking the pool. The indoor pool and hot tub were really lovely for our use. They have an ada pool lift which is one of the reasons that brought us here. It worked!! The weather was not great but sitting by the cozy fire in the evening was wonderful. We had a great dinner at the restaurant by the fire. The grounds are beautiful and the place is spotless! The biggest praise goes to the entire staff. I've never felt so welcoming in any hotel. Unfortunately I would have given 5 stars but the lack of bars in the toilette and the shuttle to town not being accessible I had to take a star away. read more

Montauk Manor was the perfect place. She really enjoyed herself. The grounds were beautiful, the Manor was charming, and the trees were in full bloom. I appreciated that after we had to comment on a situation with our room, it was quickly and swiftly resolved. I enjoyed the shuttle service because it was a nice treat to not have to call an Uber or Lyft. We were able to use the shuttle to go into town and the train station. My elderly parents had made a reservation on 1/16 for 1/28th. They called on 1/26 to cancel as the area where they live was completely iced in and state of emergency. They were not given a refund of credit because they signed a "no refund policy". My parents were told that the $100 change free would be waived if they rescheduled. In the meantime my father fell on ice and is injured- there is no way to reschedule in the near future. Good sense is that this resort would refund the money paid up front. read more

Absolutely Terrible Customer Service - Avoid This Hotel I rarely take the time to write reviews, but the experience I had with this hotel was so disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others. I want to preface that our stay is schedule for March 2026 and this is from my phone call with the general manager. I spoke with the general manager with a request regarding a reservation issue, and instead of receiving basic courtesy or professionalism, I was met with rudeness, impatience, and an unbelievably nasty attitude. The general manager spoke to me in a condescending and dismissive tone from the very start of the conversation. Rather than trying to help or even listen, she was argumentative, uninterested, and clearly irritated that I had called at all. At no point did she make any effort to be understanding or solution-oriented. It honestly felt like I was inconveniencing her just by calling. Customer service in the hospitality industry should be about making guests feel valued and respected. This general manager completely failed at that. I have never been spoken to so rudely by someone in a professional position. Because of how poorly I was treated, I would never consider staying here and would strongly recommend that others look elsewhere. There are plenty of hotels that actually care about their guests. This is not one of them. If this is how the general manager treats potential customers, I can only imagine how guests are treated once they arrive. Hats off! Montauk Manor has to be the happening and most exquisite hotel in Montauk. It's like a mini mansion with an indoor pool, gym, restaurant, bar and the most beautiful interior decoration. And how convenient it's about 5 minutes away from Montauk train station. It's really mesmerizing and carries a sharp personality. My friend and I was passing through so we decided to stop in at the bar for drinks and appetizers. I ended up having an Aperol and tiramisu. A bit pricey, but the atmosphere was refreshing and accommodating. We were told this place get seriously busy during the summer months and holiday season during the winter months. We recently stayed at the Montauk Manor for four nights, and it was an incredibly lovely experience. The Manor mixes old-world charm with modern convenience. It is impeccably clean and well-staffed, and located in a beautifully bucolic location a few minutes from downtown Montauk, as well as the lighthouse and the national parks. Our room was a one-bedroom with two full bathrooms, and that extra bathroom made a great deal of difference. Every window offered a breathtaking view of the bay, and the sunset from our room was postcard-perfect! The room was well-stocked with dishes and silverware, and the Keurig coffeemaker with coffee pods was a lifesaver. Above all, I must single out Patty, whom I initially spoke to on the phone when making the reservation. She was absolutely delightful to deal with when calling, and she made sure we got the best possible room at the best rate. She made the entire process so easy and pleasant. And meeting Patty in person was even better! She greeted us upon our late-night arrival with a heartwarming smile and deep, genuine kindness. Our check-in was a breeze, thanks to her, and throughout our stay she was so happy and eager to help with anything we needed. Patty is such a sweet and lovely person who never failed to speak to us with sincere friendliness and care, and she is a great credit to the Montauk Manor. I very much look forward to seeing her when we return. She is a true ray of sunshine who brought much joy to us during our stay! Also highly worthy of mention is Michelle. She is another gem of a person, whose kindness and willingness to help were well-evidenced in every interaction. She patiently talked to us about places to go and things to see in the local area, and she offered much-need and very detailed recommendations on restaurants. Michelle's advice and expertise were invaluable to us on our trip (especially since it was off-season, which to me was even lovelier), and we are grateful that she was there for us. Diana was also extremely kind and helpful, offering assistance whenever she was available, and giving us counsel on where to go and what to see. We look forward to her warm and welcoming smile when we come back. And last but surely not least, we were fortunate enough to have very pleasant interactions with Tom, who was always extremely friendly, very gracious, and infectiously joyous.
