Our weekend stay was lovely. The unit we were in had a Murphy bed in the living room that was so well camouflaged as a wall unit that we didn't realize until housekeeping came to set it up for us. We also had a loft upstairs with two Queen beds and a full bathroom. There was also a bathroom downstairs. The kitchen was a decent size though we didn't cook since we ate at Monte's for almost all our meals. They cleaned and made the beds while we were out. One of us used the hot tub in the lower level. The staff was friendly. The lobby is beautiful. I just wish the parking lot was closer. The one by the main entrance is usually full so you have to park at the lower one which isn't far away but when it freezing and windy, it sure feels far.

Asbestos dropped ceiling in the bathroom.

Upon arrival you are met with threatening signs limiting your parking in the front area to 15 minutes, no valet. If the line to check in has more than one person, it will take you longer than 15 minutes. Upon check in, a plastic bag with 3 room remotes is thrust at you and your credit card is charged a deposit. You are expected to carry the remotes to your room and return them to the front desk when you check out. Not exactly "deluxe service". They also charge you for your room keys. The one main elevator is small and slow. It is often crowded. No attendant to help you with your bags. Some rickety luggage carts are available. My impression of the lobby is that it is old and dingy. Couches look worn. Miss Havisham would feel right at home. The room. If you are lucky to get a room facing east, the view is great. Very little privacy with respect to the other room balconies. So say hi to your neighbor. The room is also worn, chips in all the cabinets, furniture and chairs. There was a Keurig. On the second day we asked for some more coffee pods and were told "no". That was déclassé. The balcony chairs had green mold, the balcony small side table had burn marks. Our room didn't have a real closet. It was a small pocket closet. The other "Duplex" room. This room looked like it was decorated by Tony Hawk. Skateboard decks on the walls. No view. Not a real two bedroom, it has a loft, so I hope you like stairs. No privacy. No usb charging outlets in the rooms. Overall this is not a luxury hotel. And don't forget to return your remotes to the front desk on check out or else!

My hubby and I had a wonderful stay for 2 nights. My husband uses a scooter. Most of the hotels are not wheelchair friendly in Montauk. . Montauk manor was great! We stayed in a one bedroom unit that has a roll in shower. (There were no bars for the toilette which was difficult for us) They do have a shower chair but it was very small. There was a ramp out to a large balcony overlooking the pool. The indoor pool and hot tub were really lovely for our use. They have an ada pool lift which is one of the reasons that brought us here. It worked!! The weather was not great but sitting by the cozy fire in the evening was wonderful. We had a great dinner at the restaurant by the fire. The grounds are beautiful and the place is spotless! The biggest praise goes to the entire staff. I've never felt so welcoming in any hotel. Unfortunately I would have given 5 stars but the lack of bars in the toilette and the shuttle to town not being accessible I had to take a star away.

Such a great hotel. So refreshing to go somewhere out of the norm. The room was great, better than I expected and better than the online photos! The only issue we had was that we could not get any ti's to work. There was no signal. Went to the front desk and the guy tried to help, but to no avail. That was super disappointing since my daughter and I were trying to have e a movie night for her birthday. Pool area and hot tub were super clean and enjoyable! Would definitely come back.

The Montauk Manor is a classy historic hotel closely located to the LIRR Montauk stop. DAHIANA made sure to make us feel welcomed. I planned a trip for my mom's birthday and Mother's Day weekend. Montauk Manor was the perfect place. She really enjoyed herself. The grounds were beautiful, the Manor was charming, and the trees were in full bloom. I appreciated that after we had to comment on a situation with our room, it was quickly and swiftly resolved. I enjoyed the shuttle service because it was a nice treat to not have to call an Uber or Lyft. We were able to use the shuttle to go into town and the train station. Montauk gives relaxation vibes for sure. I could see us returning over and over just to unwind. Thanks for a great stay!

A historical hotel with breathtaking views of the ocean. The entrance has grand ceilings with large wooden walls and pillars. The entrance lobby is warm with large fireplaces and stunning windows. The rooms are decorated with bright colors and comfortable beds and furniture. The lower level of the hotel has a large swimming pool and hot tub. We had an amazing experience at the hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Super nice and quiet winter weekend getaway. It was freezing outside but we had a nice warm room with a view, beautiful indoor pool with a hot tub and sauna. Was also nice to have a restaurant & bar in the lobby !!! They also have a shuttle

The resort is also walkable to many cafes, restaurants, and shops. Once we got to Marram (we took a cab from the LIRR to the resort), we did not have to do any additional driving while we were there. The rooms are on the smaller side, but comfortable. The bed linens are like you are sleeping on a cloud. You can control the air conditioning to your liking. The room has very little in the way of amenities - free water, sparkling water, popcorn, hairnets, and makeup remover. No bath robe or slippers, so be sure to bring your own. The pool is very small but it does go up to 8 feet, which is nice. The cafe/restaurant on the premises is awesome. We loved all of the baked goods including the ham and cheese miso scone, the croissants, and the cookies. This area of the beach was quiet during the week. Fun place to sun bathe, watch the surfers, and really relax. While we were at Marram, I also took advantage of one of their free meditation sessions. If you're there while Raymond is doing the meditation, definitely check it out! It was a very relaxing way to kick off our stay. The walls are hilariously thin, but nothing that we weren't able to sleep through. Our room faced the courtyard and I was worried that it would be too loud at night, but it seems like they're serious about enforcing the quiet hours, which is nice. If you're looking for a chill, close to everything, walk onto the beach resort, this is the place for you!

My wife and I Just had an amazing and relaxing experience for five nights at Marram in Montauk…read more Quite possibly one of the best hotel experiences ever. If you're looking for five star accommodations, this is not it. No room service, no concierge and very little available as far as food and beverage service. This place has been remodeled into a serene, minimalist getaway with very few distractions from the outside world. No TV's in the rooms and no complimentary newspaper; both of which make this the perfect escape. Get a room with a view of the ocean and you'll enjoy the scenery and the sounds. Unplug and enjoy the quiet environment. Read a book. Don't laugh, but the soap and shampoo make you smell like vacation. Take advantage of the heated pool and beach chairs and walk into town for meals and cocktails. Everything in Montauk is only a few minutes away by car. I would suggest trying to plan your stay in the slower part of the season to avoid the influx of the Instagram influenced city folk. As I mentioned, the food and beverage were the only areas that could use some help. It's daylight by 5am but the restaurant doesn't open until 8am, so you'll have to hike into town for coffee. Or sleep late. Coffee was great though. Breakfast was also minimalist but really amazing; simple food done well. 4-5 savory selections and a great assortment of pastries. The lunch / dinner service was puzzling so we avoided it (literally a protein with sides for $45 and the menu was not published). Cocktails were on point; pricey, but you're in the Hamptons so it's expected that every cocktail is $20. It would have been cool if they had some "pool food" or "beach food." I don't do the Yelp thing often but figured I would share my thoughts for posterity. I'm on the fence about going back to Marram. On one hand, we already have our room picked out for the next visit. On the other hand I don't think I can ever recreate such an amazing and relaxing vacation. We'll see.

Starting with the room, the size was good, but it could have been cleaner. I noticed some dust and dirt in the corners, and the room felt like it could use an update. The coffee machine looked older and wasn't very clean, the refrigerator wasn't working properly, and there wasn't an ice machine nearby--you have to call the front desk for ice. At night, the room wasn't very soundproof. You can hear footsteps from the room above, along with other noises, so if you're a light sleeper, it's something to keep in mind. On the weekend, the hotel was lively because of a wedding and the nightclub. There was music until around midnight, and when guests left, the noise from the cars made it difficult to get a full night's sleep. The food and drinks were very good, although they were on the expensive side. I was happy with the quality of the dining experience. Most of the staff were fine, though I noticed a few employees who seemed less welcoming. Thankfully, everyone I interacted with was polite. The overall atmosphere was the highlight of my stay. The property has a beautiful, relaxing vibe with a classy crowd, and I especially loved the morning yoga classes. I spent about $5,000 for a two-night stay, so I expected a more luxurious room experience. Mine was one of the more affordable room categories, and it didn't feel especially upscale for the price. Next time, I would probably visit for the food, drinks, beach, or spa day pass instead of staying overnight. If you're looking for a lively resort with plenty of events and activities, this is a great choice. If you're looking for a very quiet hotel, you may want to consider other options.

Upon arrival, was notified that the pool was out of service because the heater went down. They said I should have received a call. I didn't. After learning this, we figured we would spend most of our time in the hot tubs. Turns out, the heater went down for those also didn't work. The pool and the hot tubs were basically polar plunges. We booked a corner ocean view with a large balcony. The room itself was nice. Large, spacious and a wonderful shower with very nice water pressure. However, the room had ants. And a lot of them. I wish I took pictures. For a newly renovated property, you would think the HVAC systems would have been upgraded. But no. The heating in the room was so loud we actually had to turn it off in the middle of the night because it prevented us from sleeping. This property as a whole puts A-LOT of money on the esthetics. The lighting it beautiful, the wall decor is gorgeous, but it's the the things you don't see easily that need help. Ripped cushions, rotting wood on the patio, ants, poor HVAC, and clearly not a 24/7 on call pool repair for a resort that in the summer time charges $1500 a night for a basic room. Again, you book a winter getaway at a place like this to enjoy the pool and spa. When it's not working properly it just ruins the entire trip and there is no point in staying there. A seperate review of the restaurant was already posted by me. The restaurant was the saving grace. But I absolutely will not stay at this property again.

On a Sunday morning during the month of July, even with a relatively quiet dining room, the service was terrible. We had to run down a server just for water and coffee. The coffee, if you can call it that, is watered down and tasteless. We asked for cream and sugar, none came, so we had to go get it ourselves from the kitchen. Bizarre. The banana bread, which is $16, is literally one slice with fresh bananas. OK, so I am fine with paying higher prices for the location, but $16 for one slice of banana bread? Give me a break. Turkey sausage patties are literally 1 mm thick. The avocado toast, which was a very light spread of avocado on toasted bread, was extremely spicy. Totally fine with tortilla chips for a dinner, but certainly not for a breakfast entrée. The smoked salmon came with cucumbers, which had a very weird medicinal taste. The only person happy with their breakfast had ordered the scrambled eggs. Tough to mess that up. One of our party asked for an over easy egg on the side, and they wouldn't do it. Asked for a fruit basket, but it never came. Service and quality of food were both extremely disappointing. The only redeeming quality is the location. Don't come here and spare yourself to disappointment.

We called the restaurant to either move our reservation to another day or cancel it, and were told that only the manager could assist us. However, we were told the manager was unavailable because he was busy speaking with regulars at a table. I asked if we could simply be placed on hold until he was available so we could find a solution. We were told no. Instead, the employee said they would "leave a note" and that someone would call us back if they were able to help. Meanwhile, we were told that if the reservation was canceled, we would be charged a $135 cancellation fee -- despite the fact that we were actively trying to work with the restaurant to either reschedule or resolve the situation. The experience became even more unacceptable when the employee eventually hung up on us and then stopped answering our calls. The restaurant only answered after American Express contacted them on our behalf. To be clear, I have no issue with a restaurant having a cancellation policy. What I have an issue with is the way this situation was handled: being told the manager was "too busy" to speak with us, being refused the simple courtesy of being placed on hold, having our calls screened, and ultimately being hung up on. That is an embarrassing level of customer service for an establishment of this caliber. I genuinely hope someone in management -- above the person working the restaurant that evening -- takes this seriously and addresses this behavior. A cancellation policy is one thing; treating a customer with this level of disrespect is another.
