The location was perfect;just a short walk to both the beach and the shops, which made it easy to enjoy everything Montauk has to offer. stayed here for a weekend in july with gal pals for a bachelorette weekend. we had so much fun! the pools and lounge are the stars and some of the best amenities for relaxing. there's two pools, complete with full waiter service for food and drinks. the lounge aka palma day club has chairs, couches, and tables. there's even a grassy area that's also a dance floor for when there's a dj. during my visit, dj snakehips played on saturday afternoon and hotel guests have access as part of the stay. there was a hiccup upon check in where the hotel didn't have our reservation in the system. we had to wait as they sorted it out but fortunately, they were able to rectify the mistake by getting us a room (different from the one in the original reservation) for the night and comping it. conveniently located nearby restaurants, shops and, most importantly, within walking distance to the beach. read more

This review is mainly for the restaurant as I have not stayed in the rooms but truly everything that I have tried on the menu (both food and drink) have been incredible, you truly can't go wrong. Just LOOK at these truffle fries, the soft shaved truffles are truly to die for. I would come back just for this. The truffle pizza is also the best I've ever had. The Call me an Uber cocktail and the Mexican Unicorn are the best cocktails. In terms of the staff, Yannis, Adriana, Walt, etc. are all great! We did a summer partnership with our ECOfashion Corp brands and we had a great time helping infuse sustainability into the hotel. They were very accommodating and we had a blast spending a lot of time at the hotel throughout the summer. read more

Not a bad spot to stay if you are in Montauk. The pool area is great for the younger crowd or people that like to have the party where they sleep, not my favorite to have the party and noise so close to where I sleep. It would get loud at night to try to settle down. The rooms were nicely decorated and the beds weren't bad. Not very sound proof and wasn't a quiet night of sleep though. Don't recommend staying here on a weekend at all if you plan on getting a night of sleep at all though. read more

So during COVID, we weren't allowed to go to the pool and we had to meet a minimum due to our party of 10, but that was completely understandable because the plan was to spend most of the day there and we were lucky that it was scorching hot that day. Our waiter Ryan, was the BEST. We ordered 2 vueve cliquots, a bottle of 1942, and about 12 pitchers of the Love machine and Montauk make outs (they were THAT good). The food was phenomenal. We ordered a clam pizza, truffle pizza, and diavola (all amazing). Then we got 2x tuna tartars (so good with the kiwi addition), 2 x beet salads with goat cheese (bomb!), 2x smoked burratas (I'm not a fan of smoked burrata, but it was good), and a charcuterie board (gone instantly). Honestly, Ryan attentiveness was outstanding. Best server we've had during our whole Montauk stay. And the food was amazing - props to the chef! Would love to come back again next time again. I'd give it a 2.5 rating but half stars aren't allowed and it was better than just 2 stars. Glad we got an off-season rate (about 300 per night). Room was clean, smaller than expected. It was located by the air conditioning compressors so it had a continuous. low buzzing sound. Lighting was weird with warm bulbs by bed lamps and harsh fluorescent ones overhead and in bathroom. Our biggest thing was that there wasn't a mini fridge or coffee/tea machine like we typically see at even the most basic hotels. There was a small coffee bar in lobby where you could purchase coffee in AM or walk into town. Biggest benefit was how you were a 5 minute walk into town and the beach. Guess this is what you're paying for. Hotel had no info on activity suggestions but had free wifi so you could do your own searches. I recommend asking about location of your room before booking. Some may appreciate having the pool right outside your room door while others may prefer being on other side of hotel. Staff was cordial, if not slightly aloof. I wouldn't "not" stay again but I probably would try elsewhere next time. It was so-so experience. Definitely not worth the regular rate of over 500 per night .Oh, and beware of the minibar...there was a wine that retailed $28 that they were charging $106 for. read more

The Dj Adam is about the best DJ I have heard in the Hamptons . The drinks were great and the team welcoming . The crowd was sophisticated and hip . Have to laugh at some of the reviews here. First of all, Montauk, East Hampton aren't cheap, especially in the summer--people. Pool. We came here to bring our son to the pool for the weekend and could not have had a better experience. The communication from the staff was excellent. They continuously reminded us that there would be an adult pool party on Saturday, but that at our own discretion we could have our son at the pool. What a great time we all had. Maybe it was the crowd, who was fantastic. There were a few groups that were staying here and all super sweet. A bachelor and a bachelorette party. Our son loved the pizza bianca here. Drink pouches at the pool were delicious, filled with liquor. The room was perfect. We were on the upper level in the Moonlight rooms with two beds. Spacious, super clean and super cute decor. No fridges, tho, FYI. Super comfy beds and quilts and lots of pillows. The vueve cliquot sundeck was super cute and perfect for all your Instagram photos. Pool guy (David) and pool staff, again, stellar. These people remember your name, always have a smile on and are excellent. Sunday brunch menu was also delectable. Great time. There should be a sign on the door: "Millennials Welcome!" (there are emoji paintings in the lobby, need I say more?) I didn't book a room here, so I can only speak to the outdoor bar and lounge. My friend and I stopped by for drinks one night, they were tasty and strong! The atmosphere is beachy, welcoming, and youthful (tropical house, string lights, loungers and a swimming pool). Interestingly the service team seems to be comprised, almost entirely, of young men and women from Europe--doing a summer work stint in Montauk (our server was from Madrid). Grab a drink at the bar, and then head to one of the enormous striped beach chairs to snuggle up with your friends and take selfies. It feels like it's encouraged here! read more

A great place for vegans! My review is specifically for the restaurant. I have always had a wonderful experience with service, specifically Ryan goes above and beyond with customer service. The guacamole is delicious and I appreciate that they have a lot of vegan and gluten-free options which is not very common in Montauk. This was our first getaway after having a baby. We were excited to finally enjoy some time together in our favorite town! As always we tend to arrive prior to check in and are able to use the facility. Upon check in we were greeted by what it felt like an annoyed front desk employee who was glued to her cellphone. She never showed or extended the grounds to us. I totally understand it's a stressful time to work during covid, I myself will be the first to say as a health care employee, but try to at least be somewhat pleasant and attentive. The parking is horrendous! It's first come first and there are no identifiers visible to let the hotel know who is exactly parking on the property. We had to wait for a spot which was taken by a costumer shopping next door. Later on we get a text stating our room is ready and to check in. Once we get to the room it was still dirty, I wiped down the end tables which had what looked like rings from a beverage. The toilet seat was soiled and outside the shower had rotted wood which contained mold. I wiped everything down anyway because we have a infant at home. I highly doubt they use any state of the art cleaning as specified on a letter which was placed on the bed. That evening we received a text stating they will have breakfast so we don't have to go into town and beat the crowds. The following morning we went to the lobby and no one knew what I was talking about. Apparently the delivery never came she said. We decided to head to the pool area and was asked to leave because they had morning yoga. The man who approached us was rude and should of offered us another area to relax in, but that was not the case. That evening we came downstairs to enjoy the fire pit around 930p and by the time we got someone's attention he stated they stop serving at 10. We were perplexed because the table next to us ordered cocktails from a different server and that was not the case for us. Lastly, after checking out early, we received a text around 12 stating if we do not check out we will be charged an extra fee. I had to phone the front desk and make them aware a second time that we checked out. This was beyond an awful, unwelcoming, and a disappointing stay! I do not recommend this hotel, they need some education on costumer service and cleanliness. read more

Came here Saturday and had a table by the pool. Great vibes, awesome dj, and a partnership with Tanqueray which meant free drinks (albeit exclusively gin-based). We ordered guacamole and pizza. The guacamole was great (had beans in it which was new and cool) but the pizza wasn't great. As a group we had a debate about whether pizza can, definitionally, be bad (like most food) or not (like boobs). 50% of the group decided the pizza was average and the remaining 50% said it's bad, but the consensus was "not good". Absolutely fantastic renovated hotel right off the Beach in Montauk. From the trendy decor in the brand new hotel rooms surrounding the modern pools to the numerous open bars gorgeously set on the property, the Montauk Beach House is the perfect location for a weekend in the Hamptons. The resort-like hotel boasts of two pools, numerous over-sized day beds surrounding the gorgeous landscaping in the courtyard, two or more open bars facing the gorgeous pool yard, and plenty of up-scale rooms completely renovated from top to bottom. Upon entering the main lobby, guests are welcomed by classy interior design work which transcends into every other aspect of the hotel. Not only is the facility beautiful, but the staff is beyond friendly and accommodating as well. 5 stars to the Montauk Beach house, the staff, and the gorgeous design. Stayed here recently for our company retreat, very interesting resort. They housed us, fed us and put up with our frat-like antics for two days, so I can't really complain. Highlights: +The beds (even the bunks) are really comfy. Rooms get a bit cold at night, so perhaps turn down AC in your room. +Each room included a cool journal on the nightstand. I thought this was a nice touch. +Showers are awesome (rain on me style), some rooms have claw-foot tubs. +No jacuzzi or hot tub. Bummer. +Insanely close to town and the beach. +Coffee and alcohol bar on premises. +Great chefs (fare included lobster rolls, seafood paella, grilled scallops and mushrooms). Some things were a bit bland, but otherwise very tasty. +Hotel staff is pretty laid back. I think only one person got cut off the whole time. +I love the art in the main entrance. +I think they have bikes that you can borrow (parked in front of the place). +The wi-fi was pretty spotty, so if you're planning on vacationing+working...don't count on a solid connection. Set up a tether from your phone, if possible. +SCHMOOOOORREEEEZZZZ. If they get a jacuzzi/hot tub, this place is guaranteed 5-stars. Thanks for having us, Montauk Beach House! read more

I was in MTK for the first time for a bachelorette weekend and we stayed here! The staff was extremely nice and helpful from the moment we stepped in the door and made coordinating with 20 girls a breeze! There is ample parking too, thankfully. Our rooms were right out front, gorgeous! Small but everything we needed, and I looooooved the little cabana lounge chairs you get in the sand right outside your room! The pools are clean and well-kept, the bars are speedy to whip up your drinks (though they should be a $15 a pop!), and there are always beach and pool towels available. It's a beautiful place and we enjoyed the food and baristas in the morning for our coffee! They also have some seriously adorable fire pits around tables that they'll light for you in the evenings, so friggin cute. The location is great, 1 block from the beach (and the Sloppy Tuna bar!), and the little town is super walkable and close so you don't need to get in your car at all. Cabs are easy to get too and the hotel has all the numbers on the wall. We loved our stay here, definitely wish it could've been longer but I would absolutely recommend this place to a friend. What a disappointment! I came here because of the reviews and my boyfriend spoke highly of this place. He knows my standards when it comes service, so he said this is the place! We walk in and not one person greeted us. We looked around and then we just found a seat at the bar. The bartender walks up to us, I said hi and how are you. He hands me the menu walks over to his friend across from us and takes a shot with his friend. We wait for a bit and ask to order a drink and he doesn't know what a rocket fuel is and they are out of a fro' rose. Then he just walks away from us. We walked out after that. I refuse to pay for horrible service. So I can only rate this off service and experience. I didn't get the opportunity to taste the drinks and food. Do not recommend. Not worth the price. No private parking, so good luck parking your car. The parking surrounding motel is public and there's rarely a spot. The front desk only answers once every 20 phone calls. Also, there is no phone in the room. Wine and champagne in room... but no way to chill except ice bucket?! No room service. I had to call front staff on multiple occasions with noise complaints. Walls are paper thin and young girls staying above us with no respect for others. Due to my poor experience, the front desk offered to deliver the bottle of wine I was looking for. I had ordered rose. Plain rose. She brought sparkling. I can't drink sparkling rose. I never bothered to ask for her to get what I had actually ordered. Just another reason I won't be back. Just a motel with a slight face lift. This is a rating for the outside dining area. We didn't stay in the hotel, but I am most definitely looking into staying there next year. There are many lounge chairs and tables set up outside the pool with great music and a good crowd. We had about 14 people in our group and ordered many many drinks and food. The lobster wrap was huge and delicious, as was the fluke ceviche and Mediterranean plate. Our waitress was attentive and very nice. For such a large crowd, she took great care of our table. Everyone in our group loved this place and if I didn't do Soul Cycle the next day, I would have returned with them. Marking this as one of my MTK faves. read more

We haven't even checked out yet and I can't get out of here fast enough. This is the most unprofessional staff I have encountered, the most rude being Nick. He is the only staff in sight, so we politely ask him if someone is around to help us with an issue in our room (one of many). He points to a dark lobby and sarcastically asks, "Do you see anybody??" I'm sorry? So you're telling me you don't have a groundskeeper or night maintenance in case anything should happen to your guests?! It is 11pm and we return to our room, which was blazing hot. Now you may think, "Why not keep the AC on?" Well we had, but the one time (out of the multiple nights we stayed here) the maid service had showed up to sort out our room, we had noticed they turned on the timer on our AC, causing it to turn off constantly. We noticed this on the remote and was unable to remove it. It's August and 90° out, so you could say it was a bit hard to breathe at night. Aside from a lack of AC, we also had a tub that would spray water when you turned it on and at one point I had to fix the toilet. Yup, I had to fix my own toilet. The rusty chain is barely hanging on to the flusher, so we had to open the tank multiple times just to flush. The website says you get a fridge in your room, you don't, and there's no phone in the room to reach the main desk. And don't bother eating or drinking at their "grill" because Maria will not write down your order and forget your drinks...3 times. It took 30 min just to get one soda. Not like the food is anything to brag about. My burrata tasted like they just kept regular cheese in some water and it had a plastic-like skin around it, and the pizza we split tasted like canned sauce on plain bread. I had to spit out the one bite I took. Charlene was a sweetheart and took over half way through dinner, as we saw Maria just hanging out with the other staff and completely ignoring her job. I came to Montauk to enjoy my bachelorette party with my sisters, and the best parts where whenever we were OUT of the hotel. I heard such good things about this place, but it was just one major disappointment. If someone goes wrong at night, you are on your own and the sub-par rooms are over priced and incorrectly advertised on their site. I stayed here last summer for my friends wedding and really enjoyed the scene. The rooms were spacious and well designed. Loved having two pools and being so close to the beach but also in the middle of all the action of down town MTK. The food was decent the drinks were great! We spent a memorable day at the Montauk Beach House! It's a fun, laid-back place with 2 pools, comfortable lounge chairs, a well-stocked bar, and great food. They had a DJ and a band for entertainment the day we were there. All the staff were friendly, responsive, and accomodating. The crowd was fun and pretty much all young. We didn't stay overnight, although we would've liked to - they told us they are booked every weekend the entire summer! All in all, a quality day and we WILL be there again read more

The hotel is definitely one of the nicer hotels in montauk. The rooms are clean industrial modern design and there's always events going on at the hotel on the weekends. Came to Montauk Beach House because it was recommended by people in the area; it was a huge mistake. First off, service moved at a snails pace. It seemed like the staff there weren't remotely interested in greeting us, which is crazy because me and my guests were there to spend money and have a fun time. We watched the bartenders do shots with what I can only assume were his friends, and when we complained to a manager he basically shrugged off our complaints also he was flirting with a guest, it was obvious, and kind of gross. Also, and this is the big kick in the teeth: they charge $100.00 for access to the pool, which is crazy because it literally was empty. I grew up on Long Island and spent summers in Montauk.
