This spot is pretty bare bones and has zero ambiance, but it does indeed have wine and it's located pretty centrally on Bloomfield Ave so if you happen to be at Mancinni's (like myself) or another Bloomfield Ave and need a bottle, it does the job. I went and picked up 2 bottles of Italian red. Don't go in there thinking there will be a humungous selection and don't go in thinking that there will be staff on hand to help guide you in the wine selecting process. Do go in and find the price point your looking for and purchase and leave. One of the bottles was quite nice at $14 (although over priced still if you ask me) and the other bottle was not as tasty (and definitely over priced). Expect a few dollar mark up for convenience. Bare bones on the beer and hard alcohol selection as well. If you're in a bind and need a quick bottle, definitely helpful, but I would head to Amanti Vino for a much more pleasurable experience and a lot more inventory. read more

You want wine??? They got wine! You want beer??? Good luck some where else. This small establishment seems to be new or under construction. Not much decor just bare white walls and a haphazard shelving of liqour. They do have lots of wine which I thing is their niche. There are many quaint West restaurant nearby this establishment which I feel they cater to. I got a bottle of French Cabernet Sauvignon for 15 bucks and was very good. The cooler for beers was practically empty. A lonely bottle of the only six pack of LEFFA was begging for me to find it a good home in my belly so I couldn't refuse. Huge selection! This is my go-to spot everytime I am in Montclair. They have a plethora of wines from all over the world. It's located right on Bloomfield ave in the heart of downtown. I frequent alot of byob restaurants in the area so I go to get wine before dinner and the owner always helps guide me on my selections to pair with the cuisine of the evening. They also have a wide variety of spirits and beer as well. They are also open late on the weekends. Great customer service ans wide selections. You can't go wrong! read more

After living in Montclair off and on for the last six years, Sunday was the first time I ever visited the Montclair Wine Cellar. If it wasn't for a $5 welcome-to-the neighborhood coupon I received in the mail, I probably would have gone another six years without knowing this placed existed. When you walk in you can't help but notice the limited inventory. The liquor shelves were half-bare, the beer fridge looked picked-through and the wine selection, while the highlight of the store, was limited in terms of sheer volume. If you're looking for a couple of cheap bottles, this place is not for you. If you're looking for a wider selection of high-end wines, some varieties that you simply won't find everywhere else, you might want to swing by. I picked out a delicious Montepulciano (2011) for about $16 that my father-in-law and I really enjoyed. In all, unless I have another coupon I do not think I will be back. There are just too many more reasonably priced wine shops in the Montclair/Bloomfield/Verona area. read more

No frills liquor store to pickup a bottle for the many BYOB options in Montclair. This store is nothing special at all, cheapest bottle of wine is $15 here. All it is is convenience and they are right next to my favorite pizzeria there. I would never go out of my way to shop here, but it serves a purpose if you forgot or didn't feel like bringing a bottle from home. Selection is also poor here, but you can find a decent bottle from the south america or California to enjoy with your meal. read more

Went to several stores in town and there are several just in this vicinity alone this wasn't my favorite. The set up is fine and they had an ok selection the service was the least favorite and the prices. There were brands that I checked online that were overpriced. There are other stores in the area with better selection and more price offerings. But I just didn't get a good vibe in this store. Probably won't go back. read more

Prices are 25% higher than they should be and apart from a dozen Italian reds there isn't a mind blowing selection of rare stuff. Since everything in Montclair is BYO this is an OK spot if you're eating at a nearby restaurant. Otherwise I'd probably go to Amanti. read more

They have both types of New Belgium's Glutiny which is, hands down, the best gluten free beer. Plus they are nice people and have OJ prices.
