Today was our manager's birthday lunch at work. She requested Monte Cello's Pittsburgh Chicken Salad, so, that's what we bought. Two small catering tins and four dressings over $60 plus delivery tip. The hot sausage casserole was AWESOME! My husband loved their lasagna, however our waitress sucked!! She barely came to check on us and when she did I had to ask for a refill of my Diet Soda and husbands water, even though both glasses were empty! We are not lousy tippers by any means but we were to this waitress! All the other waitresses and waiters around us checked on their tables quite a bit so it's not like it was before busy. Best pizza, all varieties I've tried were equally great, but Joe's special, my favorite. The garlic tomatoes he uses on his pizza are delicious. Try the funnel cake fries. The chicken, is a must try. Ordered lunch for take out. All I can say is gross. Ordered a tossed salad and 1/2 of a meatball hoagie. The lettuce in the salad had seen better days, the tomato was mushy and mealy... the only thing that the salad had going for it was the dressing and the feta tasted great together. Now on to the hoagie... the meatballs were more like a meat sauce that was made from a mix of dog food and potted meat. The bread was nice and fresh though. Next time co-workers want this place... All I can is this place is awesome. We had the white pizza and a traditional cheese pizza and it was amazing. You can tell everything is so fresh. My kids never eat the crust of pizza but where amazed at how good this was. And a balloon person came around towards the end of the meal and made them balloon hats. This is not a kids place. Awesome place!!! My nephew and i stopped for pizza around eleven pm after paint balling. Although the web said they were open til midnight, they were preparing to close. They kindly made our order and gave us a booth in the bar even though they had just finished cleaning. We enjoyed a great pizza at a great price while watching the end of the world series. Only ten years old, my nephew noted the price, quality and service stating...'we need to come here more often'. Definitely a place you need to check out! read more

Has gone down hill over the years. Their pizza is still really good, but everything else is mehhh. I got a buffalo chicken sandwich that was literally a bun with a boiled skinless piece of chicken with hot sauce drizzled on the top. I was expecting it to have breading or something. Really disappointing & no fries either!! Tried again and ordered a pasta dish that includes ravioli & stuffed shells & was disappointed with the small portion size & quality. Let me start this review out by saying, my husband and I frequent this location at least twice a month and love the food! We always go to the bar area and order wings, pizza and salads. We get pitcher of beer (or two) and enjoy! We have been doing this for over 5 years & live right in Cranberry! Service is always good. Food taste great & like the bar environment. However, this past Friday was not at all like the service or quality food I have come to expect. We decided to get carry-out for the FIRST time ever at this restaurant. Ordered 3 dozen wings for pick-up. My husband looked on Cranberry Monte Cello's website for the sauce options and prices. $9.95/dozen or 3 dozen for $25.95. When he called to order, the gal that took the order also said the ranch and bleu cheese and celery comes with each dozen. Well, when I went to pick-up the order, first they could not find it. Not under our last name & then they had my name spelled incorrectly, so could not find. The employee helping me was probably 16 or 17 and could not say anything to let me know she was helping me. Finally found my order and she told me it was $45 and some change. I asked why so much & she said they raised their prices. Even if they raised prices, that could not be right! That's $20 more! And, you should pay less per dozen when you order multiple dozens. She also charged us for dressing and celery which she said was included. I said I wanted to speak to a supervisor to clarify. They were so busy (Friday evening) that they could have cared less about my concern of being over charged. Supervisor came over and said, "How did u even see the prices on the website? It's down." I told her it was not and we were on the Cranberry site. She then scolded the young cashier about telling us that the ranch and bleu cheese/celery comes with the wings at no additional charge. Awful supervisory skills, to say the least. I told them to remove the dressing charges and I did not want them. I also inquired about adjusting the price a little, based on what was on website and what we usually pay in the bar area. We have NEVER paid $45 for wings. She said that those were the prices, after she took off the dressings and then someone went into our boxes with bare hands to remove them. Gross! We still paid $39.75 and I did not even get a receipt. I am not sure I even signed their copy because I was so upset that no one could even give me $5 off. Heck, they have $5 off a $30 purchase coupons everywhere on their website. It was a terrible experience and definitely was over charged. I submitted it as a dispute to my credit card company and then wanted to post this to make sure this does not happen to anyone else. Just because you are busy and apparently do not need the business, is no reason to have terrible customer service and over charge people. I was charged $12.50/dozen and then 6% tax, which is never how they price their wings when you buy more. We will never be back to that restaurant in any capacity. I just called to place an order for delivery at 940pm. I was told they were closed since they didn't have any business tonight. Hours of business are until 11pm and this is our preferred pizza place and order from them a few times a month. Not any more! They don't value their existing customers and posted hours of business on its website. I would give zero stars if I could. Hair in the salad, actually wrapped around a piece of meat. Seems to me that was intentional. Calazone comes with ricotta cheese even though it was ordered without. I remained calm and called manager on duty (owners daughter). She does the right thing and expedites new order. I can't say we will be back. The hostess sat us at a dirty table. I had to ask for it to be wiped off. The server never removed any of our dishes from the table. I put my soup bowl at the end of the table and she never removed it even when she brought the check she didn't take any of our dinner dishes. Very poor service read more

Two weeks ago my husband and I had dinner and a great experience at this establishment. "Aron" was our waitress providing us a fantastic CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE!!!! Enough so that we will be sure to ask for her next time we visit. Aron offered us a tea to go and we thanked her but declined. Today, we returned for a quick lunch we did not expect to see Aron given the time of day. The server listed on the ticket was "NR R". I wonder if she might be using someone else's login to cover up. She arrived at our table with an empty glass from another table setting it down on our table (this just made me nauseated-thanks for the germs). Secondly, she asked what are ya having to drink? We replied two iced teas. She took the dirty glass and left the table. A few minutes later returned with our teas. We reviewed the menu for several minutes finally being ready to order she comes back laying across the table asking what will ya have? We shared what we would like to have. When we were ready to leave we asked for a to go box and 2 iced teas to go to which she replied. Since we give free refills we don't give tea to go cause it costs money and we just don't have cups and paper products we can send for free. Well the first time we had dinner there we spent $50.00, order to go food $35.00 and today $40.00. I really didn't care if I had to pay for another iced tea in order to get one to go it was just her attitude. We really like monte cellos as we've learned from our 3 weeks in Pennsylvania Italian food is the cuisine of choice as BBQ is the cuisine of choice in Texas. My nephew suffers from Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, so we have to bring food from home or get him one of the few things he will eat and bring it with us if we want to go out to eat as a group. We do this frequently since he has had this condition his whole life (he is now 8) and it has NEVER been a problem anywhere. We have done it hundreds of times at this restaurant, we go there every Saturday before or after church. This past Saturday we went in like we normally do and half of the group was there, we were seated and got our drinks and we set the food bag on the table where he was going to sit. A few minutes later our waitress came back and was very awkward and uncomfortable and told us we could not bring the outside food in and we had to put it away or leave. She informed us that this was her managers choice to tell us this and that she did not see a problem. We informed her of my nephews condition and that if the manager wanted to come speak to us they could but it has not been a problem in the past. A few minutes passed and a second waiter came over and gave us the same speech. However, the second waiter was very rude. We got up and left, and as we left told the manager that it would have been nice for them to come talk to us like an adult instead of sending their staff to do their job. She played dumb and made nasty remarks as we left. This restaurant will never see any more of our money and we will be sure to tell every friend and family member we have to avoid it. This situation was handled in a completely inappropriate manner. We had a group of 8 that evening, it was not like the kid just wanted different food, he has a medical condition that he is receiving treatment for. This is outrageous and I urge anyone who reads this to avoid this establishment. The food really isn't great to begin with, the tables are always filthy and the service is normally sub-par. We only liked the place because it was close to church. Again, the management staff are terrible, they're inconsiderate, immature and un-professional. Do not support an establishment with such a disregard for a young child with a medical condition and their inability to treat patrons respectfully. read more

There were four of us eating and of course I had four different credit cards to pay with. The girl that took the order was very nice and very patient with all my orders and all my cards. Not very clean. Had spaghetti and meatballs and the grated cheese is imitation. Husband's fish sandwich was very small and came out of a package. If you order their antipasta salad it's fantastic. They load the salad with everything, but then skimp on cheese (not real anyway). How can an Italian restaurant serve "imitation" cheese?? Found a hair in the bread basket. Went here for happy hour with a few friends and had a great time and great good. Had the buffalo chicken pizza and it was awesome. Probably one of the best I've ever had.
