A lot of their items on the menu are really good. The thin traditional crust with pepperoni & Green Peppers is really good and sauce really good. Apps are pretty good as well as other Italian Dishes. But, their white Pan Pizza with fresh Banana Peppers is great and the best around the burgh. Sicilian is good but that white pan topps them all. Had white with regular crust just isn't the same. Best Italian on Mars!!!! "Brick Oven" is an old Italian secret society that strives to make kick-ass food and make sure you leave feeling like there's a brick in YOUR oven. I think every restaurant I've eaten at with a Brick Oven is delicious. Well, the restaurant isn't delicious unless you're Godzilla, but the food inside is. I think it's technically in Mars, PA but it's not far from Cranberry on Rt. 228. It's an odd turn but you'll want to figure it out to go here. I met my brother and his wife here when in town on business and we all enjoyed our meals, and had plenty to take home (they did, not me). First, the wedding soup was good. I miss having wedding soup available at nearly every restaurant, so I try and get it when in PA. This one was loaded with noods and balls! The SIL had eggplant Parmesan and it looked pretty dang good. Scroll down and look at it. Seriously! Look at that pic! Tell me you don't want a bite of that! Lick your phone! My brother and I split a large meatball calzone which was huge huge huge! That probably would have been enough. It was loaded with balls and onions and cheese and had some good red sauce to dip. I dip, you dip, we dip! We also split the Diablo Pizza which was OMG Great! It actually was spicy which is becoming more and more common as places are less afraid to make everything suitable for a 4 year old. They also had a diablo pasta which I would probably get next time based on the flavor of that pizza. Great flavor, loaded toppings. Crust was cooked well, and real Italian sausage. We ordered a Medium pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and green pepper pizza for take out on a Friday night while visiting the area. We actually brought it back to our hotel (Marriott in Cranberry) The pizza was great! We were really happy with the service, the cost and taste. We definitely recommend Luciano's for a pizza pie! We came to Luciano's after playing a tournament game in the Riverhounds tournament. It was packed on a Saturday night around 6:30 and we drove around a bit to find parking. We were told that it was a 35 minute wait. I had a drink at their fairly expensive bar and watched the end of the Pirates game and the Kentucky Derby. We were seated in about 30 minutes. Our server was really good. She was nice, efficient, and checked on us frequently. We started out with bread sticks and mozzarella sticks. We got a mix of pizzas, calzones, and hoagies. I've been going to Luciano's for many years and I've seen the quality and quantity go down. Tonight I picked up Chicken Parm and it was overdone. The chicken was not flattened to cook evenly and it was dry and chewy. Also my side salad was about the third of the size it used to be and had only one cherry tomato and one cucumber slice. We have ordered takeout pizza for years at Lucianos. While we find it very good, we have noticed the price has gone up 50% over the last 8 years, and the size of the pie has shrunk. We are now paying $30, with a modest tip. We are on a fixed income, and find the price excessive, so will be looking for a new pizzeria. read more

Came here the other night with my parents, we were hungry after a long day and it was convenient. We were seated immediately in their large dining room, that was bustling on a Sunday night. Our waitress was fine, she seemed generally in a bad mood, but maybe she was having a bad day. The bread and salads to start were good. The salads were small, but the ranch dressing was great. For our meals we got a cheese pizza, chicken piccata and chicken parmesan. The cheese pizza was great! The chicken piccata was pretty good, the chicken and sauce itself was good, but the mashed potatoes it came with were boring and cold. The chicken parmesan was not good at all. The portion was huge for the chicken, but the it was over breaded/over fried and not cut thin. The spaghetti portion was small compared to the amount of chicken. The big offense was the sauce... it was awful and I honestly could barely eat it. It tasted like incredibly poor quality, too acidic, and honestly did not taste like a tomato really. I took my leftovers home and covered it in a good quality jar sauce (Lucini - tastes like the tomatoes are FRESH) to try to salvage it. For dessert we got a chocolate moose cake that was decadent. Would really only come back for a pizza and maybe the chicken piccata and ask for a different side or send the potatoes back to be actually warm. Overall would rate the meal a 2, but a 3 because I would get a pizza again. read more

Delicious pizza and pasta! I recommend trying the pan pizza if you like a thick crust. It's buttery and goes great with some ranch. We also had the Diablo pasta that had the perfect spice. They put sausage, banana peppers, bow tie pasta and red sauce together. Then, they bake it with cheese on top. We had the lunch portion, and it was really big! You must try the cheesy garlic bread. You can smell it as soon as you walk in! It's perfect for dipping in the pasta sauce. They give you three Texas toast sized pieces. The wedding soup was pretty good. They give you a cup when you get pasta. It is a small cup but has lots packed into it. This is a huge space that would probably be great for events too. I was at Luciano's on Sunday, September the first for lunch. I was surprised to see that they had an early afternoon happy hour featuring both food specials and drink specials. I had a pizza which was excellent with a very extensive Italian menu if you prefer. The bar is large and the service was excellent with the bartender giving me ample attention. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is very nice, clean and spacious with a separate part of the restaurant for family seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is ample parking here and the prices are moderate. Decent bar, great service, decor was nicely done with decent seating at Luciano's. Now onto the food. Since it was a Friday, I asked if they had any Lenten specials available. Nothing other than the normal menu selections, which when asked the waitress pointed out that the fish sandwich was pre coated frozen fillets. She suggested the salmon saying it was her favorite and was fresh never frozen. Appetizers, everything we ordered was prepackaged frozen items except the breadsticks. Sadly, the calamari was very bland, to make matters worse they served it with a sweet Thai chili sauce. Very disappointing for what we were expecting. Dinner, like the breadsticks or pizzas were very good. I purchased a white pizza. I did have a chuckle because our waitress described it as being a Margarita pizza. Even the menu suggested nothing similar to a Margarita pizza but oh well. I ordered a white pizza with roasted red peppers and shrimp. I was very pleased with the taste and textures of this pizza. More importantly, I was impressed with the full shrimp, I was expecting the baby shrimp like most places use. Everyone enjoyed their meals except for the one guy that ordered the Salmon. It was way overcooked, almost beef jerky dry. When mentioned to the waitress she offered to bring another piece out, this was after we all were done eating already. Ordered delivery. Ordered an eggplant dinner got an eggplant hoagie. checked that I ordered a dinner in my online account and now said it was out of stock. My good friend and I have frequented this establishment many many times and never had an issue. Today however the food that we ordered smelled unusual and even badly and tasted badly. Each of us didn't eat more than 2 bites a piece. we both felt ill for the next several hours. When I called later that evening and spoke to the manager about our experience...I did not receive an apology or any type of consolation but instead was advised how many others were served the same item and didn't complain. My friends and I met on a Friday evening around 6:30pm. The restaurant was hopping and super busy but the aroma was spectacular and I swear I could eat the smell! The wait was about 40 minutes but so worth it! When we got to our table, the waitress was taking our drink order almost immediately! Then she was quickly back and took our food order. Not my favorite. We came back to Luciano's after several years but don't think we'll be back. My fettuccine Alfredo was overpowered by the taste of garlic. Ordered a couple of pizzas. We came, we saw, we devoured. 4 cut Pepperoni and Cheese was great. Crust was crispy / no flop. The cheese was great and the right amount (too much makes it really messy). The sauce was great and had the right amount of acidity (not too sweet). This was a solid pie. The second pie had awesome toppings but not my favorite from a crust perspective. The Sausage crumble, ricotta, spinach on Alfredo sauce made this a cheesy delite. The pie was a pan pizza. The outer crust was airy/crunchy that reminded me of a bread stick. We finally visited Luciano's after intending to visit since we moved to Cranberry. We ordered a pan pizza and a calzone. I have been looking for a great calzone since I moved to Pittsburgh over 10 years ago. This place did not disappoint! I would highly recommend a calzone! I am a big fan of Luciano's in mars, I have been there twice with my sister and brother in law, they love it too and are regulars! All the food is great but I highly recommend the salads, pizza and subs, my brother in law Ioves the diablo pasta, both times I was there on a Friday night and the place was packed but we were able to get a table in the bar area very quickly! Our server is a gentleman who I believe works that area, didn't get his name but he is excellent! Very attentive and obviously experienced! Absolutely everything smells and looks amazing! Well after reading the "disclosure" on the door about mask wearing by staff and customers we questioned staying. We decided to stay and eat anyway. When greeted by host we were told 25 minutes, perfectly fine. After about 5 minutes they said we have a table available, but are you comfortable with a server not wearing a mask. Ummm... no thanks, we will wait. Well we only waited about 2-3 more minutes and were seated. I asked about draft selection and found that they have really scaled back from normal times (understandable). Not the best selection but I'll be fine. My wife immediately noticed that all the kitchen staff were mask free. Something g that didn't make her comfortable at all. She said I'll eat this time, but as long g as this is going on I'm not comfortable coming back knowing masks weren't being worn. I ordered a steak hoagie and found it to be delicious. The hoagie was crammed full of steak and toppings, much different than the Philly I ordered the other day for lunch. Best part was that it was the same price but twice as filling. We ordered garlic bread as an appetizer and found it to be decent, but super garlicky. I'm still burping the garlic. My wife had a pasta dish and seemed to like it. Went for dinner on Friday night it was busy, we waited about 25 mins for a table, sever was nice. Food took a long time to arrive by they had a lot of big parties so not surprising - when it did come began eating my chicken Marsala only to realize after a couple bites that the inside was completely RAW! My mom & I split a bottle of Pino Grigio. It was delicious! My dad opted for a red ale & then an Octoberfest beer. We ordered the fried zucchini as an appetizer. It was very good. You gotta get it! The wedding soup was good, but it wasn't my favorite! For my entree, I ordered the chicken parmigiana- to be honest... I didn't like the chicken.. it was just dry & not seasoned well. The penne was good. My mom ordered the lasagna - I tried it & liked it a lot! My dad ordered the veal parmigiana- he enjoyed it very much! Have been here before, before COVID. Service was still great. Food nice and hot and we didn't wait for very long. I got the Diablo dish and my husband got the steak salad. The server told us they only had the large salad, the small serving wasn't available. We didn't think that made since. However, he liked it a lot. My pasta was a little over cooked, but tasty. We went here on a Saturday night at 6:00pm, and the wait for 2 people was at least 45-60minutes. However, the bar area is seat yourself, so we were able to get a bar height table in there without having to wait. The bartender was our waiter and checked on us often.
