White Pan Pizza with Fresh Banana Peppers
    Art T.

A lot of their items on the menu are really good. The thin traditional crust with pepperoni & Green Peppers is really good and sauce really good. Apps are pretty good as well as other Italian Dishes. But, their white Pan Pizza with fresh Banana Peppers is great and the best around the burgh. Sicilian is good but that white pan topps them all. Had white with regular crust just isn't the same. If you like white pizza and never had this, you are losing out! Watch the video of what it sounds like fresh out of my oven from having leftovers, LOL!

Best Italian on Mars!!!! "Brick Oven" is an old Italian secret society that strives to make kick-ass food and make sure you leave feeling like there's a brick in YOUR oven. I think every restaurant I've eaten at with a Brick Oven is delicious. Well, the restaurant isn't delicious unless you're Godzilla, but the food inside is. I think it's technically in Mars, PA but it's not far from Cranberry on Rt. 228. It's an odd turn but you'll want to figure it out to go here. I met my brother and his wife here when in town on business and we all enjoyed our meals, and had plenty to take home (they did, not me). First, the wedding soup was good. I miss having wedding soup available at nearly every restaurant, so I try and get it when in PA. This one was loaded with noods and balls! The SIL had eggplant Parmesan and it looked pretty dang good. Scroll down and look at it. Seriously! Look at that pic! Tell me you don't want a bite of that! Lick your phone! My brother and I split a large meatball calzone which was huge huge huge! That probably would have been enough. It was loaded with balls and onions and cheese and had some good red sauce to dip. I dip, you dip, we dip! We also split the Diablo Pizza which was OMG Great! It actually was spicy which is becoming more and more common as places are less afraid to make everything suitable for a 4 year old. They also had a diablo pasta which I would probably get next time based on the flavor of that pizza. Which means I'd totally come here again if I was in the mood for Italian and in the mood to feel like a gluttonous pig.

Great flavor, loaded toppings. Crust was cooked well, and real Italian sausage. We ordered a Medium pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and green pepper pizza for take out on a Friday night while visiting the area. We actually brought it back to our hotel (Marriott in Cranberry) The pizza was great! We were really happy with the service, the cost and taste. We definitely recommend Luciano's for a pizza pie! No pics because we were so hungry and forgot! A medium pizza was plenty for the two of us and we could not finish it. But we do have a pic of the pizza box! Thanks Luciano's for a great, late night dinner.

We came to Luciano's after playing a tournament game in the Riverhounds tournament. It was packed on a Saturday night around 6:30 and we drove around a bit to find parking. We were told that it was a 35 minute wait. I had a drink at their fairly expensive bar and watched the end of the Pirates game and the Kentucky Derby. We were seated in about 30 minutes. Our server was really good. She was nice, efficient, and checked on us frequently. We started out with bread sticks and mozzarella sticks. We got a mix of pizzas, calzones, and hoagies. Everything we got was really enjoyable.

First time here. Service was incredibly quick. Food was awesome and you can tell it is fresh. The fresh bread was an added bonus. We will be back!

The restaurant was only about 50% full, so it didn't seem overly busy. We were seated in the back and ordered drinks, appetizers, and entrees within about five minutes. Our waitress was incredibly nice and attentive -- she was quick with our first two rounds of refills and had a great attitude the entire night. Unfortunately, the timing of the food really hurt the experience. Our appetizers didn't come out until about 45 minutes after ordering, and our entrees arrived an hour and a half after we were seated. By the time our dinners came out, we were the last table left in the restaurant. To make things more frustrating, the meals were brought out in two separate rounds about 10 minutes apart. When the second round finally came, we ended up asking for boxes and the check right away. The food itself was absolutely delicious, and our waitress did everything she could to take care of us. That's why we're giving 3 stars. But waiting an hour and a half for dinner -- especially when the restaurant wasn't very busy -- is just not acceptable. We'd consider giving it another try, but only if the kitchen timing improves.

I'll post a photo of the menu, but here are some of my thoughts: Turkey - so delicious Mashed potatoes - perfection Stuffing - I loved it but the kids didn't. Honestly they probably would have preferred Stove Top though. Green beans - very tasty but not great as a leftover Cranberry chutney - ok, I love the canned stuff but this was truly a hit. Rolls and butter - literally such delicious butter! Apple pies - they were more like empanadas. I was expecting mini round pies. The crust was amazing but the apples were a bit tart. The pickup was easy and seamless. Everything was packed well. Thank you! We can't wait to come in to eat soon.

Our waitress Ellie was attentive, patient, and helpful for our party of 9. She was even willing to give some of the guests tea bags from her own stash! Our group of 9 tried almost everything on the menu. They have a small menu with a few appetizers and main courses along with some desserts. Because we were a larger group, at least one of us got something on the menu. We also shared, so I tried many of the dishes! They gave us an amuse bouche, which was aracini with caramelized onions and peppers. DELICIOUS. I wanted more. We also got foccacia with an oil dipping sauce. The focaccia was denser than usual, but I loved it! Here's what we tried: [Sausage Greens & Beans]: A traditional Italian dish that was absolutely delicious. There was so much flavor between the panchetta, beans, escarole, and sausage. This dish was out of my comfort zone but so delightful. [Crispy Brussel Sprouts]: Man! These were good. They were perfectly charred and paired with a spicy sauce that took this dish to the next level. [Wedding Soup]: A little non-traditional since their noodles were much larger, but I loved the denser meatballs. [Caesar Salad]: My husband loved this dish! The croutons made the dish extra, and it was well dressed and slightly lemony. [Warm Mushroom Salad]: I hate mushrooms but I loved this. The rosemary smoked mushrooms were the star of this dish. [Shrimp Risotto]: This was so creamy and flavorful! [Chicken Marsala]: This dish was out of this world! The rosemary smoked mushrooms gave this dish a perfectly smokey flavored. The chicken was stuffed and accompanied with lyonnaise potatoes that were so crispy and delicious. [Roasted Veggie Rolled Lasagna]: Wow was this dish flavorful. The variety of vegetables were perfect, and the roaster red pepper ricotta in the middle was just what this dish needed. [Apples, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie]: This was the perfect fall dessert. Apple turnovers, peaches, and pumpkin pie mousse. The perfection portion and not overly sweet! This restaurant made it to my top 5, and it was so delicious. All of the flavors were so complex! You need to try this restaurant or you'll really be missing out! I cannot wait to try more items on their menus as their specials and menu changes. Such a hidden gem!

The interior has an overall modern feel and tables are well spaced out so you don't feel overcrowded. Portions are generally really large (which is great, because food is pretty pricey). I've been able to make two or three meals out of one entree here. Overall, service is pretty good but can be hit or miss. There was one day that I think they must have been having an off night because everyone seemed crazy stressed and very short with us when questions were asked. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the side salad was. It was a great balance/mix of ingredients with delicious dressing. My main entree (Strozzapretti) was tasty but a bit seemed like there was a bit too much grease/oil or something that made the dish seem heavier than it needed to be. In general, a tasty place but could improve if service was more consistent.
