Beware buyers! Overpriced scammers praying on the uneducated buyer. I went into the store today with $6000 in my pocket to spend. I was looking to buy three or 4 ounces of gold. I am a gold and silver enthusiast I have been buying gold coins and silver coins over the past year from reputable coin shops and online minutes. They have a handful of gold coins in various sizes that are marked up triple What any place would ever sell it for. One of the 1 ounce coins that is in circulation condition was nearly $5000 I have attached some photos with the prices straight from the investment websites at the exact price they are selling them for today right now the same exact coins are being sold here for $5000 per coin. The current price of gold is $ 1259 per ounce. I understand there's a profit in a premium price but this is just robbery and quite frankly disrespectful. If you do ever end up in the store just look at the photo I've listed and compare it to the coin price they have for sale. I'm only sharing the truth. Save your money and your time don't go to this place. read more

These people,for lack a better word, are dumb. I am not being rude i promise. I had pawned my camera to them a few weeks back. Well i ended up just getting a new camera all together. Trying be effing sweet dude i called them and asked if i could just drop off the rest of the accessories (worth more than the camera itself). He tells me they dont take lenses and BATTERIES FOR THE CAMERA unless its all turned in together. I literally argued with this man because he did not want to more money. I have done a review on this place before and I'm doing it again. I HAD TO go back to this place only because it was open on a Sunday. Same ring. Same amount. I recently had my ring appraised for my insurance and it's worth $8,000 but the guy behind the counter said he could only loan me $100. That's it. He said they base it off the gold, not the diamonds. If I'm ever in need again I'd rather go hungry then go back to this rip off place. The guy behind the glass counter has the worst customer service ever. I found Monte de Piedad to be a great place for quick cash they were about as decent in the world of pawn as any of the others until the day I needed to get my stuff out with pawn tickets in hand, I went in to pick items up mind you they've taking a copy of my driver's license, pictures of me, my fingerprint, I came in explained my situation that the previous day my wallet was stolen that i didn't have a actual hard copy license, but a copy of it on my phone which was shown to the supervisor identifying me and I want to pick up my stuff, she insisted I must have a picture id in hand only nearly an half an hour passes of back and forth her calling her supervisor. I left very upset because this is costing me money and time because I needed the tool for work, I called another location to get info on corporate or main office contact, this person being a little more experienced said as I they should have been able to id me by fingerprint for the pickup, you need id in hand when placing something in for pawn. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE a $55 pawn has cost me over $200 when I was there to get it that day. Never again read more
