I left my house & garage door keys in my car, in my garage. My husband leaves for work at 3AM and he had the other key for the garage. I could not get in the garage, therefore I could not go to work. I called our emergency number and our Maintenance person answered. I told him my situation and he graciously told me he'd come to help me. I feel he went Above and Beyond his duties. The day I toured Montecito, Savannah was so welcoming, it felt as if we had been friends already. Then I met Rosa and Juan (aka Pacheco). From the start, they all gave me a good, positive feeling and I knew this was the place I was meant to live. Unfortunately, the tenant in the apartment I was going to rent ended up extending their lease, so I couldn't move in July as planned. I had such a good feeling about the staff and the location that I agreed to wait it out. Rosa stayed in constant communication with me about units as they became available. I finally moved in September and Pacheco worked non-stop to get my apartment ready so I could move in on my birthday! In fact, the apartment wasn't as clean as it should've been, so he called in someone after hours to clean the apartment more thoroughly. Since then, although he seems to be the only maintenance person for the entire site, he has addressed all of my issues in a timely manner. For the issues that take time, Rosa has kept me updated on the status. Rosa and Juan have quickly become people I consider "friends". I have a property mgmt. background and dealing with some tenants can be challenging. Providing good customer service is as important as receiving it. Last night (after hours), my air conditioner went out. I was concerned because we've had temps in the 100s, so I didn't want to wait until the morning. I made a call to leasing office and was able to get the after hours phone number. I spoke with Jose, from maintenance. He was currently on another call but promised he would get to me as soon as possible. After a couple of hours he came and was able to fix my unit. I am so appreciative! And earlier that same day, he was already in my apartment to unclog two sinks, and fix a couple of lights that kept going out in my kitchen. Jose is such a valuable asset to the management team. He is always very helpful, friendly, and is always professional. I never have any doubt that if an issue comes up, he will be able to take care of it. Thank you, Jose! read more

We lived here for 9 years. It used to be a nice place. Over the years I we noticed a lot of families moving in were having many (like 8) people living in one unit. Drug deals near the front gate were normal. Garages broken into on many occasions. Wouldn't get cameras. The smell of pot everywhere. People leave dog poop everywhere. These people are crooks and liars! After already handing over the early move out fee to terminate the lease early ($4,500) they wait until months after giving it to them to then claim the cashiers check was no good. After calling with my bank they informed me NO attempts to cash the check has been made, and Montecito Apartments was lying. After a phone call to Savannah asking for an explanation as to why they would claim that.. she had no explanation only stuttering and more lies. BEWARE of these people and save yourself the headaches and lies from these crooks. They will do everything in their power to nickle and dime you for everything they can and lie without remorse. Truly despicable and disgusting behavior on their parts and so glad to have gotten away from these monsters. We've luckily gotten a house since and don't have to deal with problematic property management. FAREWELL read more

This is the sister complex of Encanto at Dos Lagos. Both are Greystar properties. Reyna hit the nail on the head here: these complexes will charge you for cleaning and for unnecessary repairs upon move-out regardless of how perfect you leave the place. Don't do it. Just live somewhere else. Greystar has been a nightmare to deal with since I moved out over two years ago. It took over a year to get a bill overage of more than $1,000 removed from my credit (wrecking the score in the process) and even after that, they still stalked me for another $250 beyond my deposit for an apartment that was in near-perfect shape. read more

Current resident .. STAY AWAY! We loved the style and how new the apartment was, so beautiful! We did not realize all the downsides. 1) You have a garage, but if you park outside in the gated community your car will be broken into (don't keep your garage clicker in your car they'll steal that too- then get in your garage) 2) There is security BUT we have had seven break ins between two cars (three total) 3) There is security BUT our car front bumper was hit inside the lot and the next night the plates were stolen. 4) DO NOT park in the hotel parking lot, if you're lucky enough you'll be kicked out, if not your car will be filled with ants. 5) The rent raised is the max 10% CA raise each year!! Orange County pricing without the luxuries 6) Don't underestimate the active mines across the street 7) The paid trash collection service causes more problems than is helpful 8)Management is N/A The only good thing is they have great maintenance of the buildings. Henry is so responsive and helpful. But if we could end our contract, we would have yesterday. read more

Very unsatisfied with the new Managment I don't understand why Kelly Velasco de old leasing manager has to leave. BIG MISTAKE LETTING HER GO !!! The front gate don't work for a month already the hallways are very dirty and I ask to change my a/c filter still waiting ‍‍ I don't even know the name of the new manager because she has not been kind enough to introduce her self.
