The leasing office is very unprofessional and so hard to get a hold of. The apartment stairs, halls, and complex were always filthy and filled with dog poop. They did a really bad job in maintaining and keeping the apartment complex clean and in good condition. We only stayed a year and couldn't wait to leave. read more

We lived in this unit for one year, and honestly, I couldn't wait to move out. From the day we moved in, there were already so many problems. The apartment was not in good condition at all -- please check the pictures. It looked like things had not been properly fixed or cleaned before we moved in. They asked for a $1,200 security deposit, which is way more than what other places usually ask for, and it did not feel justified considering the condition of the unit. There was also a leak in the AC that we reported, but nothing was properly fixed. On top of that, our electric bill was almost $300, which is extremely high. We called the office four times about it, and they did absolutely nothing to help or even try to figure out the issue. The day that we moved in the carpet was FILLED with dog hair and my 12 month old son got an allergic reaction as he is very sensitive to dog hair. The stairs were always disgusting -- full of trash and dog hair. The apartment complex was always filled with dog poop as well. It felt very poorly maintained and unmanaged. Overall, it was a very frustrating experience, and I would not recommend living here. Not only that but the management office is very rude and unprofessional. I explicitly requested via email, signed forms, and verbally to be present at the time of inspection. Not only did they not adhere to that request but they didn't even let us know when the inspection was taking place. We hired a deep cleaner and the apartment was in VERY good condition when we left but they still charged us for a bunch of unnecessary things. read more

I have lived here almost 6 years now. Absolutely love it here. The rent is fairly priced according to market and the amenities are second to none. The manager Jazmin in the office as well as the other office ladies, Paulina and Everly have always been top shelf. They are tentative to the residents needs and very understanding and helpful with any questions or problems that might occur. Patrick the maintenance manager is always on top of any problems that have arisen in a timely and reasonable manner. Looking forward to being a resident for years to come. Robert from Maintenance went above and beyond to make sure our living experience is safe and satisfactory at Palisades. I Put in a work order to check on the kitchen fixture that was out and I mentioned my leaky kitchen faucet and he inspected and noticed my sink faucet was cracked and saw me wiggling it to make sure it doesn't leak and he immediately inspected and determined that it was on the verge of getting worse which would have caused a flood in my house. So incredibly thankful for him being so observant and actually caring for my family's well being. Thank you SO much Robert! read more

Been living at the apartments for a month now. All in all, love our new home. From where we were prior, we appreciate the peace & quiet, the open floor plans & having security drive around at night. I'm also very happy with the service crew. We have had a couple small problems since moving in but every time we ask for services, they are there within a couple of hours & they are always so eager to help with whatever you need. The gym has been my favorite spot as well. Very clean & organized. Has the equipment I used to use at open gyms but now can enjoy myself in a less crowded area. And of course who can forgot the Amazon Hub! Our last apartment complex was notorious for kids stealing Amazon packages & I'd have to get my packages sent to my parents home. So relieved I don't have to do the most with my packages anymore. My two complaints I do have of this place is the trash & dog poop issue. Since moving in, the trash areas & most walkways have been nothing less than disgusting. There are usually trash bags everywhere, not making into the 2 HUGE bins they have there for you. This week, it was to the point where you couldn't even walk into the trash area. I had to throw it over onto the overflowing bin. I do see men in trucks once a week organizing & that I am appreciative. Also finally saw homeless people going through our trash early in the mornings that every one talks about here. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels unsafe going to my car. As for the dog poop there's literally poops right next to others. It's very gross. I don't understand why people don't pick up after your dogs, don't have them if you don't want that responsibility. I don't think that's the apartment complex's fault per se, I just wish people would pick up after their animals. Noticed that poop & homeless coming into our complex has been problems for YEARS with nothing done just by looking at past reviews. Actions speaking much louder than words. read more

We have been living here for 5 years and we've never had any complaints. We had maintenance come out one time for an issue with our kitchen faucet and Robert was really helpful and came over fast. He changed out our faucet in no time. He also fixed an issue with a valve in our bathroom that we mentioned to him at the time. Our experience here has been great. read more

If you are planning on moving to building 2412 second floor , don't do it! The neighbors in 301 are careless, run around like the apartment is a playground, no regard for others. I placed a few complaints to the office and they don't do anything about the issue! Don't let the pool and the gym fool you! A bunch of homeless digging through the trash cans day and night and management will not do anything. I've lived here for 5+ years. Our rent was raised $400 the last jump, and I know our neighbor pays $3700 a month to live in this mess. They must have changed ownership because this is the worst I've ever seen this place. It wasn't like this about a year ago. The dog area is never cleaned anymore - I have to email every couple of weeks to let them know the dog bags have been out for weeks at a time because I'm so tired of stepping in dog shit in the dark. There is constantly dog poop everywhere. This place is so unsanitary. It seems like every time we see our neighbors, we end up talking about how gross this place is now. The photos of the trash area are taken a week apart. The maintenance guys amazing and I know they're doing everything they can, but as far as I know their job is to take care of house calls to fix things inside of the apartments. It seems they no longer have a groundskeeper here, yet I'm paying more in rent than I ever have. I'm not a person who complains often, but this is out of control. read more

Don't be fooled by the modern ammenities... this apartment is more trouble than it's worth. Here are my key take-aways after living here for a year. 1. Rent is more than market value with the upsell being a small gym and pool. Not worth it given what rental houses are going for. 2. Parking is HORRENDOUS! If you have a 1-bedroom, your best option is one guaranteed space and one first-come space (this is extra per month). This apartment fills up FAST. So you'll be paying for a gated community you can't park your car in. But you'll see numerous empty marked spaces.. 3. The women in the office are useless. Taking forever to answer service calls or emails. Even the maintenance calls them useless. One guy told me "if you need anything, just get one of us because they won't do anything for you". One of my neighbors was smoking in the hall wall and leaving the butts all over. It took 3 weeks for the complex to do anything about it. The smell ran through every unit on the floor. 4. The clientel of the complex is getting worse. Lots of undesirable people walking around at night. Not to mention the homeless people than tear through the dumpsters. Why? Because the complex gate opens automatically at 5am.. so they walk right in. This is if the gate even works..it's always having problems. 5. When you do leave, you'll be hit with every charge possible. You better hire a professional cleaner or you'll see $280 of your deposit go towards that. There's no requirements in their lease agreements to have anyone come in an sanatize the unit but they charge you for it anyways saying it's "the tenants responsibility". When I emailed them about my concerns on these charges, they simply ignored my emails and sent a check. for the lower amount Complete disregard for good tenants who took care of the unit and paid rent on time. Save your money and DON'T RENT HERE! read more

This is my favorite apartment complex I've lived in. They are beautiful, sound proof, well made. The view is beautiful and the amenities are nice. If my husband hadn't gotten transferred we wouldn't have moved. The reason for 4 stars were the car break ins and parking. Good luck finding an unassigned parking spot in the gate. They shouldn't let guests park inside the gate. My car was broken into while parked in our assigned garage. Several times I saw homeless people going through the garbage bins. read more

As a resident. I'm getting really tired of seeing and stepping on dog sh*t everywhere in this complex. The entire entrance to our building smells like dog piss too. I'm sick of it. I've heard the office staff calls residents to harass them about negative Yelp reviews. Well don't try that with me. Do something about this issue and maybe I'll consider revising my review. Also, whats with people leaving trash outside their units all the time? Literally my neighbor has had a bag of trash next to his welcome mat for weeks which makes the hallway smell so bad. Not to mention, is a clean hallway too much to ask for? I've seen it cleaned by maintenance maybe once a year. Seriously? For the extraordinary high rent they charge to live here, you'd think they would be on top of these issues. read more

This review is long overdue, as I moved out in March 2019 after living here for a year. I feel compelled to provide my feedback on my living experience at Palisades at Sierra del Oro, because the past year has proved to be absolutely phenomenal. I moved to California from the east coast in January 2018, and toured the apartment community within weeks of my move. The leasing staff were very helpful from the beginning of my lease to the very last minute of it. Phoenix is the absolute BEST in the business. I guarantee you will never meet another leasing manager with as much wisdom and brilliance as she. Phoenix is not only compassionate to everyone she comes into contact with, she is also highly attentive to the concern of each resident on the property, and knows EVERYONE by name. She is reliable, honest, and well-deserving of all of the recognition directed her way! The maintenance staff were always available to attend to any issues with my unit, and consistently provided immediate and personalized assistance, regardless of how large or small the request. Events were thrown each month to facilitate community engagement, and I sincerely appreciated the staff's dedication to foster a positive living environment for everyone on the property. The property was built less than 5 years ago with the idea of resort-style living in mind, and they hit the nail on the head with the relaxing atmosphere of the community. All of the amenities (pool/jacuzzi, gym, fire pit, clubhouse, dog park, playground, amazon hub lockers) are well-maintained and cleaned often. I admit, parking is a little difficult, but once each car is electronically registered, guests can park wherever there is an open space (even in front of the leasing office) overnight. You aren't limited to just 2 cars for registered parking, as I saw in another yelp review. The property is beautiful, safe (gated at both entrances, well-lit, & has night patrol), and several restaurants & grocery stores are less than a 10-minute drive away. I had to move because I needed a 3br apartment, and they didn't have any available at the time. In conclusion, your experience at your apartment community is a combination of what you make of it, and how leasing/maintenance staff work together to establish a healthy living space. I couldn't have asked for a better first apartment in California. read more

My fiance and I have been living at Palisades at Sierra del Oro for the last year and I would like to share how we feel about living here. Pros: - It is a nice looking complex. - It is conveniently located by the freeway and by a shopping center. Being close to the freeway helps with our commutes. - The interior of the apartments is set up well and nice looking. - Maintenance usually solves your problems within a week or less. We had an oven and dishwasher that weren't working when we first moved in. While it was annoying these things were not working right from the start of our lease, it was fixed within a week. -The amazon hub is convenient. Cons: - The parking situation is very stressful. There is not enough parking to accommodate all the tenants. For a one bedroom apartment, you get a single garage spot. There is no option to buy an additional parking spot outside if you are more than one car in your household. My fiance and I have to look for and save a spot for one another when we come home from work separately as we try to avoid parking outside the complex due to break-ins. You also have to make sure your car is registered online to park outside or else your car will get towed. This week, they are doing a slurry project for three days inside the complex, and 1/3 of the inner parking is closed off each night. There was already not enough parking spots to begin with, and now we actually had to drop off one of our cars in an adjacent neighborhood because there is no room in the complex and they did not provide any accommodations. - The scent of dog urine is really strong throughout the complex, especially at the entrance to my building. In addition, there is dog excrement throughout the entire complex. Many tenants are not picking up their pets waste and the management doesn't do anything to fix it other than just send an email telling people to pick up waste. I think its gotten to a point where it's really unacceptable. - Lastly, certain people who are not tenants come into the complex every morning around 4-5 AM and are dumpster diving. They seem threatening and make us feel very uneasy when we have to go to our cars at 5 AM to go to work. We informed management of this and they didn't take any action themselves and told us to call security. We called three times, however, it made no difference as these individuals still are in the dumpster every morning. We don't feel safe in this situation. I hope Palisades can see this review and try to fix the problems described above. It's not cheap to live here and they increased our rent by 10% when we renewed our lease. By paying more, you would think there may be some positive changes in the complex, but due to the problems above, we are disliking living here more than enjoying it these days. Edit to respond to Palisades: First, I think most residents would like to have a place to park their cars rather than see the parking lots/roads, which were already clear and nicely paved, be repaved and repainted. Today the area around my building is closed, so we don't get to use our garage and since we get home after 5 PM there will be no where for us to park in the complex. We will both have to park up the hill into a residential neighborhood and risk someone breaking into our cars. Plus my fiancé leaves for work at 5:00 AM so he has to wake up extra early to walk and get his car. Second, for you to shift the burden of the animal waste onto your tenants by asking us to report people who are not picking up after their pet is ridiculous. It's not like I know the names of the tenants and am able to watch them walk their dogs and see if they pick up the waste or not. All I know is that myself and other tenants come home after work to encounter multiple excrement piles and a very bad odor all around the grounds and you should be doing something about this, not us. read more

I can't tell you how many times I've tried to go to the leasing office to discuss something with management, only to have the door locked. My boyfriend and I are currently living here and can't wait to get out of our lease! Everything was fine, but up until recently living here has been hell. My car was towed twice!!!!! Because they never put my plates in the system luckily my boss is cool and believed me that my car was towed and couldn't come to work because it happened with 3 days. Then a week later my boyfriends car was broken into, window shattered items stolen the whole Shabang!!! There is security but all they're good at is towing residents cars apparently. And to top it off the leasing center tells us that the best they can do is take $300 off rent next month now this is how they told us," we don't even need to be doing anything for you but we can take $300 off next months rent" Inconveniences across the table such a hassle. Someone is always getting their cars broken into or garages, no cameras, nothing gets done by Managment only an apology. people don't pick up after their animals,(shit) I can't believe the only security they have doesn't do anything for what goes on around here. God forbid your late one day on rent and you get a letter on your door for a nice place they sure don't seem to care what happens here. I waited a while to post this review after moving out to see if my anger towards this complex would die down. I lived in the Palisades for a year and at first, it was pretty good. We were the first people in our unit so it was clean and fresh feeling. We had a canyon view which was great until the construction RIGHT NEXT DOOR started. Then we started noticing homeless people digging through our trash and then our garage got broken into. The community refused to increase security. It got to where I was calling the Corona PD a few times a week to report people digging in trash or breaking into cars.We had a town hall meeting about it and it was disappointing to hear how many other people had the same issues and we hadn't been notified as a community. After the new management company came in, it got a lot more laid back on the community rules. Parking became even more of an issue, you could smell pot smoke every time you walked to your mailbox, people who didn't live at the community would drunkenly use the hot tub late at night. Homeless folks would use the pool area showers and then just sleep on the lawn chairs. I felt bad for the new management company because it seems like they inherited some pretty bad problems but then when I moved out and they kept my deposit although we paid to have the apartment cleaned, I was quickly over it. We paid $1600 a month for the small one bedroom (plus an additional fee for our small dog) which in Corona is REDICULOUS. They sold us on security and new apartments. Also, the traffic on Green River is a nightmare. Trying to getting on to the 91 is worse than once you get on the 91 at 7 am. It's really sad that such a beautiful complex has so many issues. read more

We loved this place when we moved in 1.5 yrs ago, but it has rapidly gone downhill. The original company and staff that built the place was fantastic. Super responsive, fantastic maintenance people, and very involved in the community. A new company has recently bought the facility, and frankly everything is going to shit. The landscaping is destroyed, somehow they managed to screw up the contract with waste disposal so there are no dumpsters on the facility, and all of the dog waste disposal sites are overflowing with dog poop. Do yourself a favor, the units look nice from the outside, but they are not worth close to what they are charging. We regret everyday that we renewed our lease. Traffic over here is a nightmare, morning and night. Homeless people have been routinely breaking into garages and sneaking onto the facility, and the new management is letting the place turn into a dumpster. read more

Being in the military I had moved a lot and have been in and out of so many apartments. I can honestly and genuinely say that this apartment complex is by far THE TOP apartment complex I have ever lived in. After living here for 8 months I can really say it's a perfect spot in Corona, with beautiful views. The amenities are literally amazing and always clean. The maintenance people are some of the best guys, they work fast to help us repair any issues, and are willing to make things convenient for us to make sure we are comfortable. The ladies in the office are always caring about our issues and ready to help us out. They really try to make this place a nice place to live. They upgraded our security company to make sure we feel more safe and taken care of. They have community events all the time which really gives us the chance to meet the neighbors and make friends along with listening to our concerns. The plants around the community are always taken care of and the buildings are constantly pressure washed along with hallways cleaned and trash taken care of. They're pet friendly and have a little trail behind the apartment that you can walk your dog through with amazing views. If you're looking for a place to feel like you're "getting away" and resort living, this is the community to go to. From the moment we moved in, Kelly the manager has been amazing. She is the heart of this community and she does an amazing job at keeping us happy, bringing the community together and making people smile. She knows everyone and always has a smile and friendly hi to give out. In most places I've lived I couldn't even tell you what the manager looks like. But in this place, you recognize everyone that works in the office and in maintenance. I'm grateful that we found this place and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Plus sides: the community is beautiful. It's not hard to find parking. The amenities are great. The apartments are luxury style, with literally everything you need in your apartment, maintenance is good at what they do, everyone's normally happy around the neighborhood. It's SO quiet. Every one that visits me always says that sitting on our porch and staring out at the view is their favorite because it's so quiet and comforting. The vibes of the neighborhood are extremely nice. Downsides: none. Most of the negative reviews are based on things that are normal apartment living things. If you don't want neighbors too close, if you don't want to deal with your washer breaking and someone fixing it FOR FREE, if you don't want to deal with a few people walking around upstairs... then move INTO A HOUSE. Traffic to get on the 91 is not the apartments fault. That's just California. Strict rules are set in place to protect our HOME and keep it clean and organized, and I don't think that should ever be a complaint. You get what you pay for and in every apartment there are fees. In every apartment there's a price. We genuinely think we got an amazing price considering the fact that the other apartments we were looking at didn't even offer half of the amenities we got here for WAY MORE than what we pay now. Beautiful property with problems. 1) when they show you the community room, keep in mind they usually close it at 6pm so if you want to spend time with friends or family, forget about it. BUT if you want to "rent it out" after hours, they'll leave the door open for you for a mere $700 deposit. $200 if which they keep....for nothing. 2) they say they'll do a lot, BBQ, community events, etc. there was one event in summer 2018 that wrapped up at 2pm. 3) if you ever want to know how much people are paying for rent, simply walk around the property on the 4th or 5 th if each month. Anyone that's is late paying has a notice posed on their door showing how much they actually pay. The leasing staff seem very concerned about privacy for their residents. So before you actually sign a lease, just walk around to know you're getting a good deal! When we transitioned apartment on the property to upgrade from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom, they messed up the transition sooo bad that they owed us a balance of $1500 for two months!! And I got a sorry. "Oops, our parent company didn't cut the check right." Not only that, I was forced to pay a new application fee for the transition to see if I was "good for it" after 14 months of no missed payments. But my autopay, which the leasing staff suggested I do, doesn't go through, and I get a notice after three days??? Very fair. The only saving grace in the property staff is Phoenix. She is patient and willing to help. Overall, you'll love the amenities, when they work or are open. The property is nice since it is only 4-ish years old. Rent is not cheap, they raise prices every year, will gouge you with "other fees" and any extras you think you'll get won't happen. You walk to your apartment and the hallway will be filthy since the staff doesn't clean the halls but once a quarter and it's very easy to tell where you can buy weed cause most neighbors just smoke in the hallways.
