Absolutely loved my food here. I was a little skeptical as I saw no recent photos on yelp but my man and I enjoy Mexican food and this place was very close to us. My fav meal to try at any Mexican restaurant is the Camerons Ala Diabla. Not too many places I've tried get the heat and spice right but theirs was definitely a 10/10! I subbed out the rice for fries. I also ordered the margarita flight. My man got the queso grilled chicken tacos and he said they were very hearty and very good! Service was good as well! The service was slow, the ambiance was basic. The margaritas taste like they came straight out of a jug and poured over ice with some kind of after taste. The chips are extreme greasy, the queso dip was cold and lumpy (we ordered a large dip with jalapeños), the chicken quesadillas looked sad. The tacos were dry. My last trip to the area was in May near Cinco De Mayo and a lot of the decorations were up. I don't recall our server's name but he recognized my sister and welcomed us warmly. My sister enjoys their chicken soup which is tasty and filling. She usually has to take some home. We ordered the guacamole which is fresh and chunky like I enjoy with their chips. For this trip we were only having a snack so I focused on the guacamole. The restaurant has a good sized bar, a few TVs and an extensive menu. Review the photos of the food; you can't go wrong! Food was all microwaved. One burrito was scalding hot then cooled rapidly, while a soup was tepidly warm at best. The two tacos we ordered were damp, but the beef was dry so I'm not sure how that worked. The tacos had fork holes in them as if to let out steam from being microwaved. All meats in the order were completely flavorless and dry. It felt more like cheap dog food rather than beef and chicken. The meal was just meh over all. On top of that we were one of two tables in the restaurant and hardly ever saw the waiter. When asked if a substitution could be made on an order he cursed under his breath in Spanish ("Su puta madre no") before answering. He also gave off the air that he just did not want to be there. An over all absolutely underwhelming experience for a $42 meal. After this experience I doubt I'll come back and will actively tell others to avoid too. My family and I love this place. My picky kids get their cheese quesadilla (which I always steal a bite of). We love their Monterrey Special Tacos (steak and chorizo complimented with a delicious hot sauce, raw onions, and cilantro). We have tried several different things on the menu, as we have become regular patrons. We usually get their cheese dip with jalapeños to go with the complimentary chips and fresh tasting salsa. We also typically get the combination plate with ground beef chile relleno and enchiladas. However, my new favorite is the Quesa-Birria Tacos. It reminded me of an empanada that made a baby with a tamale. Ha. It comes with a dipping sauce (thin like au jus) that's packed with flavor and tastes delicious. Definitely worth a try! Well it's been over two years so I decided to try it again. I placed my over driving from the golf course near by and he said 15 min I walked in it was packed in the foyer.
