This is in reference to Steve Mudd in sales and Thomas in service. I purchased a 2015 Tahoe LTZ and really enjoy the truck. Beautiful black with black rims and black Chevy bow ties. Unfortunately it had a few issues mechanical and electrical and it was a tad frustrating. But the service department really stepped up and made sure the vehicle was back in working order. They were great with communication and I felt they were tentative to our needs. When I picked up the vehicle, they were reasonable with the repairs and the car was washed and waxed.... Mr Mudd even made good on a promise that was almost 2 years old. I have a lot of respect for a man who keeps his word. These guys are good...... Go see them. Tell them what you want. Terrible customer service. Went in person with my boyfriend to get his truck checked for an engine light issue, and booked an appointment for 7am and all. We dropped it off day of the appointment before they opened because we both work night shift, he left his information and his dad's info in case he was asleep. When we woke up there was no call and so he called to check and nobody even touched the truck. The same guy who made the appointment for us told us we never had one?? and when they did "check" the car they said they had no valid reason to work on it and said they had no way to contact us (He literally bought the truck from them). DON'T DO IT!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! This location should be permanently shut down. I could not imagine a worst place to buy a car. The unprofessionalism and incompetency of this place is absolutely mind blowing. I can assure this is a completely honest review and I am trying to help people prevent from making the same mistake as I did. I went for a used Nissan Altima that I saw on Autotrader. When I got there it had been transferred and was not there. I needed a car badly. BILL MILLER sold me a Chevy Trax. From day 1 it had an oil leak. I took it back and told them and their incompetent techs said there was no leak. I took it back again with pictures of the leak and they said "oh yeah I guess there is one". That's the first issue. They sold me a vehicle they claimed had been through inspection (obviously not) and then denied the issue. They then changed the oil pan. Still leaking. They then changed the engine entirely. Again, do to the incompetence of their staff I picked it up after 2 months and zero communication regarding the status of the repair and decided to drive it off the lot since it was Technially used and could not file legal action under the lemon law. During this time MICHAEL PRESTO the manager tried to do everything other than return the vehicle. I work in sales and ultimately the customer is right and especially when you as the seller have done wrong. They would not help me return the vehicle and while they did extend the warranty which I do appreciated bc I am being honest in this review, the car STILL had issues. I drove it 10 mins off the lot after the new engine and it started smoking. Which tells me they did not do a test drive after recalling an ENTRIE ENGINE!! That alone is mind blowing. They took it back and said there was a damaged hose that was leaking. Again, due to incompetence of the tech. They fixed that and I immediately took it to a different Chevy Dealer for a second look. They gave me a list of FIVE THINGS THAT WERE DONE INCORRECTLY. FIVE!!!! Will cost $667 to fix and now the GM MICHAEL PRESTO AND ROB REEVES are nowhere to be found and will not return my calls. I hate to have to do this but it's needed. I want to say that my Sales person and sales manager are great. But their service department is awful and the title department is imcompetent. Nov 2020 - We bought a used Volvo from them for my teen. I was told their service dept inspected it and gave us a list of repairs needed. I paid $1040 for the repairs. Car shuts off while my kid is driving it and we took it to the Volvo specialist listed on the Carfax who previously maintained the car. We were told to return it because it was unsafe for the road (there were car parts zip tied together) and needed $6000 in repairs (we paid $4400 for the car). There's no way their service dept didn't see these things. On top of that, The title got rejected by DMV b/c it was not notorized so it took a long time to get the plates. We get the dealer to agree to take it back. Fast forward to March. their sister dealer in IN has a Mazda and they bring it to Louisville for me. I find a newer used car and have MY mechanic check it out. It's great. I do everything on line and pick it up super easy. I get a letter saying that because the car was originally titled outside of KY I have to get it inspected at my local Sheriff's/Clerks office. No big deal. Except when I get their the title had been rejected and sent back b/c they forgot to notorize it again!! Get it together people! I wouldn't go back to this dealer. read more

We just bought a car there last week. The experience was not the best. We needed to trade our car in and that all went smooth. We traded it in on a van. The first issue was that we had asked for $500 off the car and they had said yes. When we went to sign paper work. They then said they misunderstood and would not give it to us. It was clearly in a text message that we asked and they said yes to the extra $500 off (I do have screenshots to prove). We should have walked then and found something else but my husband had already spent that day with the car. We decided to go ahead with it against our better judgement. The finance guy was great that we worked with answered all our questions. Very easy process with him. I think his name was Predarg. Once all the paperwork was done. We went to go get our new car. It was a used 2023 Chrysler voyager. We get out to the car for them to inform us they did not have another key fob. They only had one key. This should have been told to us upfront. The guy said that this happens and sometimes they will find the key other times they won't. He then proceeded to tell us it would be to expensive to get one at a dealership so get one made somewhere else. If we would have known that before about the key and with the other issue of not getting the $500 off that was agreed to, we probably would have found a different car. So now I'm going to be paying another few hundred for another key to our car. They could have at least offered to pay for another key fob for us. I know we have so many days to return the car and get our old car back, but this has been such a headache I don't know if it's worth it all. I would proceed with caution buying anything from there. I didn't want to do this, but I have had my car since august 9, 2021, and they have lost my plate at least twice. Just lost it. Wouldn't let me do anything about it, wouldn't issue additional temp tags, won't call you back, email, or communicate at all. I now get to go to the clerks office myself, pay for the plate myself, and hope the dealership really is going to reimburse me. And that assumes they initially registered the plate through the end of this year, which they may not have. Couple that with the face that the vehicle was not registered in my name until November, and I am throughly annoyed an unimpressed. My sales person isn't the problem, I don't think, so I will leave their name out of it, but I would really, really recommend not going through the headache and hassle I have and purchase your vehicle from elsewhere. read more

On March 28th, We went to the Kia lot next door not realizing they work together. Jack S came over to get us and walked us over to Montgomery. We sat down and told him the car we were looking at which was priced at $9,673. He asked if we wanted to look at any other cars and we were open to it, but we had been looking for an Elantra and this one was newer than others on the lot. We also told him that we didn't want to go over $10,000 and all the other elantras were above that. So he printed off the auto check and went to pull up the car. When he got back I asked what made the car cheaper than the other Elantra on the lot when it had more miles. He stated it was probably the trim levels. This shows he knew that the car we were looking at was below $10,000. After test driving the car he asked for some information on our credit scores as we were financing, but didn't want to have them run our credit yet. He said he would get with his finance guy and get us some numbers so we have an idea of the payment amount. That is when Demetrius came over and we talked small talk and he never said anything about numbers, so I asked what he thought the payment would be and he said he didn't know and couldn't tell us really because taxes and fees would change. I explained to him that when we looked on line, we had debated on going through capital one and told him that with our down payment of 2K, we were only going to be financing around 7-8 since that was all that was left. He still couldn't give us any idea on payments, but we knew it was within budget. We had to go back home and we were going to come back the next day to purchase if. BUT when we got home my husband went to pull up the car to show his dad and the same car had been raised up to $15,989 within an hour of us leaving the lot. I immediately texted the salesman and didn't hear back until the next day when he texted asking how he could help in our decision process. I texted back the screenshots of the price change and we went back and forth with him gaslighting me to make me think I was in the wrong. I'm not even mad about the pricing error, accidents happen. I'm mad they weren't up front with us about it and made us out to be liars. I liked Jack until his texts where he was full of it. They realized when we came back from the test drive their error, but instead of telling us and being open about it, they just lied and changed it. We should have walked out when we heard another salesman talking bad about the people who he had worked with that day. Finally, I was given one that looked halfway decent until they smacked on two needless warranties that Chevrolet clearly states are optional. After discussing their forcing of optional warranties onto the price, they insisted it was the best they'll do and to "deal with it." I went to this dealership on Monday, 2/10/20, at around 1pm to look at a car that was listed on Car Gurus for $14,799. I took the car for a test drive and decided to give an offer. I asked the sales manager how much the car will be out the door cash/check whichever they prefer. I informed Mr. Reeves the sales manager that I did not need any financing. He came up with the number of $17,999. I asked him how he came up with that price and he informed me that since I was not financing it was going to be $500 more because they sell the notes to banks and they get a reimbursement of $500 which they in turn give to the customer. Another $1000 I was being charged was because I was not trading in a vehicle. He was also charging for the service that they did on the vehicle; change oil and filter, change cabin and air filter, change the car battery as well as change the motor on the power window. After looking at this RIDICULOUS ADD-ONS I gave an offer of $15,400. He said NO, he is firm with his price. I thanked him and left. At 8:34 pm on the same day I received a message from Car Gurus that the car I was looking at went down to $14,290. Communication was great. Went in to look at an SUV ; test drove it and it was a smooth ride. Ran my credit and was said to be approved , printed my paper and told me 3-4k for down payment. Returned 2 days later with 4k the paper was basically dead weight , ran my credit for nothing just to tell me they needed 1.3k more. Went from trying to get a 2016 @ 14k to them trying to put me in a 2020 for 23k and 770/mo car payment. Seemed a bit off. The lady was nice but needs to be more clear on things. I bought my car from this dealership in May 2017. They took over a month to get my license plate and lost the spare key. (Yes, lost it and did not apologize or replace it. Just "we'll call you if we find it." They never did.) I took my car to be serviced here once (just an oil change) in February 2018 and vowed I wouldn't go back because of that experience, where the man was pushy about me doing more service and honestly just rude. Fast forward to now, my car is having major issues and I decide to take it back to the dealership for that reason. I brought my car in last Monday (I had an appointment) and was updated later that day. I was told my car needed further inspection and asked if I would be willing to pay $180 and have them look at it tomorrow. Ok, cool. By Thursday no one had called to update me so I called them. That's when I found out that no one had done the inspection yet. So you all had my car for over 48 hours when I could have been driving it instead of paying for rides. Why not just tell me you wouldn't be able to get to it for a couple of days? The excuse is that an employee has been out sick. At my work, when someone is out sick, someone else picks up their work. I don't know, maybe it's crazy to expect management to figure out a way to deal with that situation and take over the customers the sick employee was supposed to deal with?? I don't think so. I finally believed I had resolved the situation when I talked to Eric, who told me my car would probably be fixed by Friday but if not then DEFINITELY by Tuesday. I have this all in a voicemail. Well it's Tuesday after noon and I haven't heard anything yet so I call to see when they estimate it will be done. This time I'm told it won't be ready until Wednesday night. I am a pretty reasonable person. I also work in customer service. This dealership obviously has major organization and communication issues and I wish I had never bought my car from them. I hope they can do something to make this situation better but right now I'm extremely disappointed. Who wants to agree to an extra $200 inspection and then pay $200 in Uber fees over the next week when nothing is even being done to the car?? Everytime I come in here I do it the right way. I make an appointment, I'm here on time and it doesn't matter. They tell me it'll be an hour for an oil change, next thing I know I've been here for 2-3 hours... and come to find out "oh, we had a lot of walk-ins so we didn't get to yours right away.". If I make an appointment I should be serviced before someone who wasn't responsible enough to make an appointment. I'm sick of it and honestly I'm probably going to take my business to another Chevy dealer due to the poor service everytime I come here. Took my truck in for service to see what my grinding noise was coming from, after inspections they found I needed my torque converter replaced. At first they wouldn't cover that under warranty because I had modified the truck with bigger tires. After talks with the service manager and other GM reps they decided to go ahead and fix it and cover all costs and even fix some other minor issues I didn't know I had. In them doing so my family and I will remain loyal customers to GM for years to come. read more

We buy a 2015 preowned car the next day we call them because the heater and air is not working right, after few weeks we call again because half was blowing cold air and half was blowing warm air. My car broke down and the water pump needs replaced. GM won't release the part, but I asked for an estimate on aftermarket part. That was two business days ago. If you attempt to call, you just go to voicemail and don't get a call back. Even the receptionist admitted that voicemails are useless for the service department, yet when I called Mike, the service manager, he sent me straight to voicemail after two rings. If you have a simple fix on your car, do not go here! They will accept your request for service, then take a week to fix it and not communicate with you at all. My sunroof went out on my 2015 Tahoe and was stuck in an open position. After opening up from the lock down the service department was booked up for almost 6 weeks. I was expecting to be without my truck for weeks and have a huge bill waiting for me when it was over. My service advisor Marcie was able to get my truck in and out in less than 24 hours and the service was done for free! Wasn't even charged the diagnostic fee. I hate that I even have to give this trashy dealership one star to give a review. They don't deserve even one star! To give some of my background, in just the last 2 years I have bought a new 2018 camaro, a new 2018 corvette, a new 2020 Silverado and a new 2020 Malibu. I approached Montgomery on November of 2020. I talked to a very belittling Keith "the sales manager" about a new 2021 Tahoe they had on the lot. Some how the Tahoe (which was listed for $45,000) rang up to $55,000. Now, I'm no idiot! I have bought over 40 cars in my 38 years, something wasn't adding up. Taxes, tags, licensing and doc fees couldn't be $10,000. Well this "sales manager" tries to explain that there are "added accessories" to this vehicle! He thought I'd buy that ignorant line. Even went as far as saying "it's in the fine print sir". Well, it just so happened I had already read the fine print. I read the "added accessories" line looking for maybe a list of those "added accessories". There were no added accessories listed so I looked to the vehicle for any added accessories. I found none. So with this understanding, I scratched my head and asked, what "added accessories" do you speak of Mr. "sales manager"? He said, "5 year factory warranty, some other warranty (he was speaking so fast to throw me off), and lug nut locks! Well first off, lug nut locks can't be more than $50 so let's rule that out as being an attributor to this $10,000 inflation. So that only left these warranties he spoke of. So I respond back to that, "I don't need any warranties". I have my own financing. I only want to buy the vehicle as it comes! No added cost! Well here's where the ignorance comes into play! This "sales manager" states all vehicles come pre-charged with these warranties. Basically they are forcing you to buy warranties that are not required! I personally don't need these warranties because I don't keep a car longer than a year. And I've NEVER been forced to buy a warranty. But he wants to force me to buy multi-thousand dollar warranties that I don't want. So if what he says is true, if you have bought through Montgomery, you have been forced into buying something you didn't have to buy. And it seems to me that they will try to play you as a fool thinking it's mandatory or that the added charges are "added accessories". I was warned about this place. Also every review app I've been too I've noticed they have poor reviews. So luckily for me I wasn't heart set on this vehicle. I'll be going to BOB HOOK Chevrolet. read more

We traveled 3 hours to look at a vehicle here. First warning sign was how no one was ever available to give us information on the vehicle we were coming to look at. Second warning sign, if the dealership sends a salesman with you and they have a "route" beware, there is usually a reason for these short trips. Third warning sign, dealerships take all day to do things right? Well we spent 6 hours here waiting to just sign papers and go on with our lives, in the final loan documents there was an "optional" extended warranty that added on 1600 dollars. Of course this warranty was never discussed or agreed to. We got the speech about how they "think" the loan requires it. Then why does it state plainly that it is optional? Why have we signed papers stating vehicle is "AS IS" and that was mentioned a good 6 or 10 or 15 times!? What really ticks me off is that when we leave suddenly there is a check engine light. One that was not on there for the test drive. We had it looked at today, so many, many, many codes popped up. You cant dare tell me that this dealership didnt know about these codes and cleared them. They knew, they didnt divulge anything to us. Car was "AS IS", fine. We will fix all of this, but this dealership has proven itself to be a low down, dirty, LYING, CHEATING, hack! Sneaking in warranties to increase our loan, trying to outright lie about needing them for the loan, then this with the vehicle!? I wouldnt ever recommend anyone go here, ever! STAY CLEAR! read more

I took my car to Montgomery Chevrolet for service for over 8 years, but no more. They are not upfront about pricing or rate changes. The price of an oil change jumped 20% to almost $50. They did not inform me in advance of my appointment that there would be a diagnostic fee of over $100. The mechanics either didn't check or didn't notice that a turn signal was out yet they marked that all the lights passed visual inspection. I had to demand a copy of the information from the diagnostic when I checked out, even though I paid for the information. When I spoke with the service manager a couple of days later, he was completely ineffectual giving me nothing but lip-service. Go somewhere else. read more

I bought 2 Vehicle brand new same time 2016, had nothing but trouble out of but, and they are different models. Not to mention have had nothing but trouble and deceit. I had a leak inside my Cruize and when I made a trip to the Service Department after only having it 7 months, the service adviser brought me out and try to make me look like a fool and make it look like it was my fault for parking under trees at my house. Well, we don't have any trees at our house, nor does any of our neighbors on either side. But he showed me what look like the little helicopter like seeds and some other sh!t he pick off the ground and made it look like he got it out of some cover under hood even though my car had been back there for a long time, plus the passenger floor was soaked. So anyway he said will it could have happen sitting on the train or in the back lot before I bought it. Anyway, my wife is the only one that has been driving this car for almost a year no one else rides with her and we have had it under cover most of the time. She switched shifts and started to ride together with my son and she rides on passenger side, when we got all of this pass down pour and hurricane of rain, she went to get out of car and her backpack was soaked and the floor was soaked again. I was pissed, I know for a fact the car wasn't around trees or anything. I took car up there and they said that it could be clogged again even from a spider web. They blew out the line and waited to see if water would drain. After that the ran it through the water test room, and said water was pouring inside it. So we had to leave it there. They had this car for 3 days, said that someone had not put on some clips from the cowl grill back on right (THEM) cause they was the only ones to touch it. So they called me and said that it was ready and that they had detailed it cause of all of the water but to leave windows down today to let it dry and air out. I get it home and the whole back floor board was a mini pond, my wife had to take several towels to get what she could out, she went out later tat evening and happen too look at tires and realized they didn't even rotate tires that we paid for. We had a new tire on the front that was different from the rest so that is how we knew. No telling how many people they rip off like that, mark your tires when you go to get them rotated. They do not care and don't know what they are doing. I WILL NEVER IN MY LIVING LIFETIME BUY ANOTHER CHEVY!!!!!!!! I did not want to go to anywhere to have my car looked at, but it was leaking gas bad and the dealership was the closest place to get it towed that would be for sure able to fix it. It was Friday, when it got dropped off by the tow truck, so they were able to look at it that day to see what was wrong, but would not be able to do all the required work on it until Monday, as they did not do full service on weekends. They gave me a quote for parts on Friday. Come Monday, they called to tell me it was more work than what they saw on Friday but some of it was going to be covered by a warranty/recall, and were supposed to give me an update around noon as to when the work would be completed. They did not call, so I had to follow up after 2:30 where I was told would be finished soon. They called back shortly after that saying it was done and telling me what it would cost with parts and labor. I headed out there to pick up my car, and on the way they called again stating they left off some labor so it was going to be even more, almost double the cost for parts they gave me on Friday. Great. I get out there and go to the cashier to pay and ask for someone to go over my bill with me, because I want to see where I was NOT charged for warranty/recall related issues as they told me I would not be. Back in the service center area, they looked at it and turns out they charged me for some labor that was tied to the warranty/recall. So they took around $200.00 that off and I paid. A few weeks later, I get a call from the cashier's office where they say they coded the warranty/recall/work wrong and owed me a small refund of $410.00 (that is a big refund to me). Even after I had asked someone to go over the bill with me, they still way overcharged me. I would not go back here unless it was my only option, they are getting 2 stars because of the courtesy car, of how apologetic the cashier was, and because they at least fixed my issue read more

My husband and I found a truck we were interested in on Autotrader. We drove to the dealership to see the truck. First off, they couldn't find the truck. Finally after about an hour passed they located the truck but they had modified it. In the Autotrader ad the truck had a high rise topper on the back. The topper was removed and it left the truck with no tailgate. We were still interested in the truck but we're then informed that they had done work on th truck and it would be at least a couple of thousand dollars more than what the ad had shown. We left and were pretty upset. The General Manager contacted us by email asking how they could make it right. We explained what happened but she wasn't interested and did nothing. The oil change was fine, but they didnt hear the squeaky belt - which is happening a LOT, and when they went to do the recall update it made my rear camera stop working apparently because the update failed which means I have to go back AGAIN for more servicing next weekend. On top of having a bad heart which is exacerbated by stress, this is not helping. These problems need to be fixed. read more
