    This was the most low stakes car sales experience that I've ever had. Aside from the stack of papers to sign, it felt like we were shopping just like we would for anything else, without negotiations, straightforward. After keeping an eye on several dealership websites and general car websites, my husband and I found a 2016 Subaru Outback with the mileage and trim I wanted for sale for a great price on Carmax's site. Best yet, the car was actually in Louisville and not another regional Carmax location. We were able to easily make an appointment to test drive it via its website, and when we did make the appointment, the car was taken off the site, which gave us some peace of mind that it wouldn't be sold before we could get there. I was also able to get pre-approved for financing in less than 15 minutes on its site. So when we arrived, the car was waiting for me. Our salesman gave us the keys and let us take it for a spin by ourselves for 20 minutes. We decided to buy it based on the test drive, but if we needed more time, we could have taken it for a 24-hour test drive. And I still have 30 days to return it for any reason. The salesman gave us space to make our minds up, without any input or pressure. The price was what it was -- no quibbling. The majority of the staff wore masks and/or were behind plexiglass barriers, and there were extra masks and hand sanitizer on hand if any customers wanted them. I'm happy with my purchase and how easy it was. I would definitely go back to Carmax.

    I was impressed with this location. Upon arrival, greeted to see what I was there for, everyone wearing and following covid guidelines. Daniel helped me step by step and then Tanner checked out all the details on my car from inside to outside to engine working etc. In about 30 or so minutes later I had my check and all my paperwork from the really nice and professionallady from business office. My car was sold in an extremely simple to follow process. The offer was upfront no gimmick and very detailed explanation. I was truly surprised and pleased with their level of service and attention. The place is very clean, ample and even though I already had my car replacement I checked it out and they have tons of cars to offer. I, for sure will check them out again on my next vehicle search.

    Excellent place to buy your next car! Our salesperson was Zach Henry and recommended him very highly. He was friendly, knowledgeable and no high pressure sales pitch. He made car buying easy for a change! The dealership was super clean and organized. And our transaction went fast and smoothly. Definitely worth stopping in as their inventory is vast.

    Stay as far away as you can from this Dealership! While I am a little perturb about the situation I am currently in. I may say the the sales people that handled my purchase online and in the store have done a wonderful job at getting the truck that I wanted in to the store from another Carmax in Indiana. While in the store on Friday the 29th of May I Purchased my truck. When filling out the documents for the truck the sales person forgot to mention a little recall my truck has. One for the cruise control that gets stuck and another for the tail gate that has a part which may fall off if not looked at. It wasn't until the person handling the finance told me about it. They made it sound like it was nothing too bad and I could take it to any dodge dealership and they would fix it. (pretty sure if I wanted to take part of my day off work and redo my personal schedule to fix a pre existing problem on the truck I'm purchasing, I would have just purchased new) But Here I am. Now here comes the good part! (sarcasm) I get into my 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 and the the truck makes a loud noise behind the wheel well on the truck and the touch screen is stuck in a double screen rendering it useless. I thought maybe it was a fluke. Sine you know... Car Max says they do a big inspection (something like a 120 point inspection) But I turned the truck off and on and it wounds worse every time and the screen is still stuck. I am told on Saturday that the service department does not operate on the week end. So I go with out a radio and a back up screen or anything to do with the touch screen. This is just the beginning. Now on Monday the 1st of June I get told that my truck would not take that long to fix. I told them I can't wait around. I have a job and need a rental. SO they give me a run down Van that smells like dogs lived in it. At this point I just want my truck fixed so I take the rental. Now Tuesday rolls around and I'm told my truck is fixed. I go pick up my truck and drive it home after work. Wednesday the 3rd of June I get into my truck to find my screen again in the same situation. At this point I am highly disappointed in not getting the situation rectified. To top it off I find that my door was not locked. I try my key Fob to try to lock it and neither the passenger door or driver door lock with the key Fob. It only locks the two back doors, meaning every night when I locked my truck it has never been secured when locking it. Sunday 7th of June I had no choice but to go into the store again to get the key fob fixed and the lock mechanism fixed. Also get the split screen fixed again on the console of my truck. During each moment that the truck has had this happen on the screen I have made videos and pictures with time stamps with my watch in from of it so that they can see that it has been happening and sent it to their email. So they can see them. The email Belongs to Judy one of the service people that works there. Which is really nice might I add. (side note: They did fix the loud noise behind my wheel well. They said something was loose so they had to tighten it up.) Tuesday 9th of June Radi the Service manager calls me and lets me know that they can't replicate the issue of the screen. But they have sent it over to Commonwealth Dodge to get the issue fixed. I tell him that I have sent numerous pictures of the screen and videos that I have made of the screen through out the day. To check Judys email so he can see what I am talking about. On this same day I am told they had to replace the whole wires that lock the doors to my truck. I don't know if its fixed since I have not seen my truck. TODAY SUNDAY 28TH OF JUNE..... Today marks the 21st days since my truck has been in service for the touch screen which I've been told is on Order with Commonwealth. Also Sarah is at the wonderful associate that has been tasked with calling me intermittently through the week to let me know the part has not come in to the dealership for them to fix it. There is also no ETA on when the part would be in. Dodge so they can completely replace the whole thing since its broken. I have been patient for 21 days. But put yourself in my shoes. I don't have a product that I paid for and have been driving a loaner that they have provided. If I wanted to drive a loaner I would have just went out and leased a car and purchased one. Instead I came to your lot to get a Quality product that has been broken since day one! You have failed with my purchase and customer satisfaction. CARMAX MANAGEMENT what will you do for me!?

    I had a great experience buying with CarMax. I did five test drives before finding the right car and they were patient and not pushy. Setting up an appointment online was easy and we rarely had to wait long when we arrived before someone came to greet us. I got a great car and a good rate and CarMax made everything simple.

    CARMAX SERVICE TEAM IS DANGEROUSLY INCOMPETENT DO NOT USE! A "popping" sound came front the front end of my vehicle when turning. I had purchased the vehicle from Carmax with extended warranty, thus had their service team diagnose and fix the problem. Carmax kept saying it was an "axle" problem and allegedly replaced axle shaft assembly FOUR TIMES. The 5th time we took it to Ford Obrien, and they diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes. Turned out the axle was not the problem but the steering rack had BROKEN CLEAR THROUGH. Obviously the vehicle was not safe to drive, even after 4 "repairs" from Carmax. Obrien fixed the issue and I have had no problems since from it. HOWEVER, the turbo was replaced last year by Carmax, but we just found out they did not install the filter (parts invoice below clearly shows a filter was not included hence not installed) and used the wrong stud/tightened it too tight on the valve cover, causing it to crack and leak oil. We took the vehicle back twice within the year for smelling burning oil, and Carmax said engine was covered in oil but it was fine, just needed to be cleaned. Turbo went completely out last week while driving on the interstate. Now I am fighting Carmax to at the very least pay Obrien to fix it, and I do mean fighting!!! Carmax will never touch are vehicle again. CARMAX LOUISVILLE KY SERVICE TEAM IS DANGEROUSLY INCOMPETENT, IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR FAMILY'S SAFETY CHOOSE ANOTHER DEALERSHIP.

    Review Update: I'd give them ten stars if Yelp offered that! Customer service is a really big deal for me, plainly put, but its customer service that can make or break a business. I cannot stress enough how much of a diamond DeWayana is; she is going to go far in the world. Since my first review for CarMax; I received a lovely thank you note from DeWayana for the review and the purchase (she hadn't known til someone shared it with her and she was delighted!) Her gratitude was so genuine and she offered to help us again if needed. Perfect timing actually. I had my newly paid off Nissan Versa, but there were some changes I wanted in my ride that only a replacement could do but I am more picky than most about cars (the Nissan itself took me a month to find in 2012). DeWayana had given me her business card, and she is super responsive. Just like she was a month ago, her personality and approachability are second to none!!! She is like meeting a life long friend, the moment you meet her and you know she is the real deal. She is truly interested in what it is you want. Her knowledge of the lot, the products I wanted to view, was consummate yet again. We emailed back and forth, I advised what I was interested in, the ones I had seen on their site, She remembered that I was very sensitive to smells, and esp smoke, and prior to my arrival, had taken the list of cars I was interested in, and checked them to ensure that they did not reek of anything strong or smoke-like(Asthma sucks). She even had two others check to make sure they were "unscented" as it were. When we got there this time, I was greeted by Evan at the door, and several others as they let her know I had arrived. She had everything ready, I brought in my paperwork, and was able to get my Nissan appraised while I got to get a hands on look at the cars selected. I knew in advance what my very well kept car was worth and just like before, with my hub's truck purchase, CarMax offered me right on par what the KKB website said my car was worth. And of course, I found my car, only two tries! The first one, was very sporty and cute (TScion) but not for me. I ended up getting the Kia Soul 2016 model with only 8044 miles on it, yes please!!! I knew I wanted a Soul since KIA came out with the Soul Model, I had always said I would get one but I had determined it would not be from our local KIA since I had a bad experience at that location and I kept that promise yesterday- I got the KIA Soul I wanted, from a company I like, with a person I trust. I feel very fairly treated, I got a great deal, and from the moment I arrived, til when we left, everything was the perfect customer service experience for car buying.

Dealing with their sale representative Liz and owner Edgar was a pleasure. They were straight forward and transparent about the sales process and offered us a great car at a very fair price. The first red flag should have been the sales process itself. Ross altered numbers, overcharged us, and provided inaccurate figures both on paperwork and to the loan company in order to secure the sale. When the discrepancy was discovered and we demanded it be corrected -- because yes, $200 matters when you are already handing over a $9,000 down payment -- instead of fixing the error properly, we were brushed off with promises of a "free oil change" that was never honored. The ONLY smart decision made during this purchase was buying the extended warranty Ross pushed so aggressively. Since purchasing the vehicle, my daughter has been stranded on the interstate, we've dealt with towing expenses, repeated breakdowns, and multiple major mechanical failures. While frustrating, I understood that used vehicles can have issues, and I was thankful we had the warranty coverage. That's where this dealership somehow became even worse. When scheduling service, I clearly documented every issue with the vehicle, including warning lights and mechanical concerns. The car remained there for over a week. Ross personally called to say the vehicle was "completely fixed," the warranty had paid approximately $2,300, and everything was ready for pickup. My daughter drove 45 minutes, paid the deductible, got into the car... and absolutely nothing had been repaired. The dashboard was still lit up like a Christmas tree. After confronting them, the explanation was essentially that they somehow collected money from BOTH the customer and the warranty company while simultaneously "missing" every actual repair request. We AGAIN documented every issue in writing and made it abundantly clear what needed repaired. Another week passes. Jacob then texts saying the vehicle is "100% ready this time." The level of disrespect, arrogance, and lack of professionalism from him throughout this process was astounding. Dismissive, rude, degrading, and completely lacking basic customer service skills. He proudly tells me the warranty paid "another $4,000." And yet AGAIN -- the vehicle was STILL not repaired. The invoice itself listed: * Oil leak * Failed electric water pump * Collapsed motor mount * Rear wiper failure * Coolant pump issues * Air compressor problems * Front wheel speed sensor failure * Rear brake pad sensor * Starter battery excessive resistance * Lower oil pan leak Yet somehow, despite thousands being billed and collected, the vehicle was STILL returned unfixed. Ross's explanation? "I knew the air was the priority." The AIR was the priority? Not the active oil leak? Not the failed water pump? Not the issues that could destroy the engine or create a serious safety concern for a teenage driver? At this point, I genuinely cannot tell whether this dealership operates through incompetence, fraudulent warranty billing, deliberate deception, or some combination of all three. The car has now been there for nearly a MONTH and still has not been properly repaired. After happily selling the warranty and repeatedly agreeing to complete repairs, they are now suddenly claiming they are "moving away from warranty work." We are now involving an attorney because we are out thousands of dollars while being given the runaround by people presenting themselves as professionals while operating with absolutely no integrity, accountability, or honesty. Please do yourself a favor and STAY FAR AWAY from this dealership. Disgusting experience from start to finish.

They actually said they didn't calls and there was a problem with the phones. I spent $4000 on the massive repairs. two months later it broke down and they said it was the cam shaft. Another $3000. When I asked them why they didn't see that the cam shaft was having problems 2 months ago and that checking it was indicated for the mileage they had a bs answer after waiting 2 hours to talk to the manager. I understand that car repairs are a racket. I can shrug off a rigged system and even corner-cutting, shoddy work as part of a bigger problem. But, at the end of the day, I cannot excuse the extreme rudeness and lack of concern by the staff. That's something free and within their control. Don't take your car here. For many reasons.

Smoking so bad i had to pull over and get my kids out and wait 30 minutes in the hot heat for a tow truck to come, Fast forward to a week later my car was leaking again, I sent it back they say they see nothing and that they drove the car, No way they drove the car because it was having trouble accelerating since the day i got it aswell as having a tick, Sent it back they had it for maybe 2 hours and called and told me to pick up... Tried to say it was my fault and put too much oil but thats funny because we didnt even put oil in it. Enough to make it 3 minutes down the road is all, In hopes of working and getting my life together and doing right!!! Everytime i have took it they told me NOTHING IS WRONG!!! So i took it to someone else and they tell me the code P0324 popped up, TAMMY WAS THE SALESWOMEN - She was so content of keep saying we may have to switch you with something else... But always said nothing was wrong so they wouldnt have to do that. I took it about 5 times before they said "Its been 30 days, We cant do anything" forget it and took it elsewhere - They took from a great church and great people who helped me so much in my life and thats what really hurts me. the 2nd tme i took it the guy unplugged the scensors... He stated "So it wouldnt be a distraction and light up like a christmas tree" but yet thats what i need on in order for things to pop up like the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT!!!! The same guy then told me "You can expect a new car for (the price we paid) But nobody ever asked for one but if you charging someone as much as we payed WE WANT A WORKING RUNNING CAR!!!!!! they kept messing around until the 30 days was up so then they wouldnt be responsible. Its way more then this that has happened but im limited to what i can say. If they would steal and screw over a church who else would they do it too!! Also called the manager for weeks and i got no answer until i said something about getting a attorney and i tell you not even 10 minutes later i got a call from the man i been calling for weeks!!! 2013 Chevy Cruze - Its a sad world out here anything for a buck!!! I mean what if the car would have blown up with my kids in the car? Like im so confused - So the diagnosis i got was accurate to why i was bringing the car in every week for ticking noise.     I needed a new tire for my 2023 Equinox. Since a side-wall puncture can't be fixed, and even…read morethough the tire had less than 6,000 miles on it, a new tire was in order. I called the original dealership to get a new tire but I wouldn't be able to get in until 4 days later. I live about 15 minutes from Bachman, so I gave them a call. I ended up talking to Ethan and he took some information and after a while said that he had the right size in a different brand if I wanted it quickly. When you're talking a consumer vehicle like an Equinox, a tire is a tire, so I said that's OK. I mentioned that they didn't have available service appointments until late Friday or Monday and I didn't really want to have to keep putting air in the tire. Ethan said, "Tell you what...when can you come in? We'll manage to get you in to it'll be fixed before the weekend". I arrived at 10am the next morning and met Ethan, who took some information and my keys. I went to the customer waiting area while they replaced the tire. I expected a couple hour wait so I brought my work laptop so I could be productive. The customer waiting area is enormous, with probably twenty chairs for those whose cars needed attention. There's a snack vending machine, a soda vending machine, and coffee and water available. There is also available power and a couple computers for use while waiting. On the wall, an 85" television tuned to Rachael (well, except for me. I just put in my earbuds and listened to jazz music). Free wi-fi is available for those needing a connection. The chairs were comfortable, if a bit low, but once I sat down I didn't plan on moving. About an hour-and-a-half later Ethan came out called my name. The care was done! Conveniently the cashier's desk is located immediately adjacent to the waiting room. I sign a couple pieces of paper and pay them the $230 for the tire and I am OUT the door. This was my first service experience with Bachman and everything went great. From Ethan fitting my into a crammed schedule to the 3 minutes it took me to check out, I have no complaints! I think I know where I'll be bringing my Equinox for services!

I'm 68 now and bought this Buick in 22 and had to bring it back because it…read morewas having problems with lights being on for several things and they claimed to have put a coil pac and something else but guess what, I had someone look at it and the factory seal was still on it and it was falling apart and when they checked the coil pack it was factory to. the oil pan had cracks and a leak from transmission hose. we cannot afford thousands dollars to fix what should have already been fixed. I'm telling everybody that I cannot get them to make this right. it is a 2016 and it had 97,000 when I got it. it is 2026 and it hasn't hit 116,000. I can't go to the store and back because it wants to die! I'm lucky my work is within walking distance. I want them to make this right. thanks
