I currently live near a bigger location, which I tried once and it was horrible, so this license renewal I came right back here. I tried to "get in line" ahead from the website, but that really didnt save me any time, because they still require you to check in upon arrival behind others who are already there. No big deal, because they were still very prompt. The lady taking my new photo was even nice enough to try and help me get a good pic (again, totally uncommon). While I dont want to give away my secret, so this becomes busy, I figured they deserved some praise!

This location is exceptionally friendly and helpful. I was getting my federal compliant ID and had heard stories of people having to make multiple trips. I checked online ahead of time and was pretty sure I had what I needed. I was greeted at the door by a friendly gentleman who confirmed I had checked in online properly and my space in line was reserved. I filled out a form and waited just a couple minutes for my number to be called. The person at the counter was friendly and helped me with my ID and two license plate renewals, with some nice conversation while she completed the registrations. All in, less than 15 minutes later, everything was done in a quick, professional way and I was on my way! Hard to believe you can enjoy an experience at the BMV but it's true! Next time you need the BMV, I recommend this location.

I have never had any trouble nor waited in those her Renda's lines I hear everyone talking about. This time, I went before 4 o'clock on a Thursday before a holiday weekend, and I was the only person who had to wait in line. They had 3 to 4 tellers working, and it was really helpful. I only had to wait for five minutes or less. Back in the day, you could only pay with check, but you are now able to use your credit card if you are OK with $1.99 service fee. I overheard one of the tellers talking to a lady, and she did politely remind her if she uses her credit card, she would be charged that extra service fee.

I wanted to make sure I had the proper documents, (and if TSA would really accept an expired license because there was no way to find out from the airport.) But when I called the BMV the day before, whoever answered wasn't sure. When I tried to call back before going many times, no one ever answered the phone. Of course Saturday is crazy busy, with parking even hard to find. I'd recommend going on a weekday. The system for waiting was very efficient, with a machine to enter your cell so you'd be texted, as well as your line number displayed up on a monitor when ready. I only waited 15 minutes, which wasn't bad considering the crowd. The driver's license renewal went smoothly. I guess there's some kind of system back up, because my license had to be mailed out 4-6 weeks later. They gave me a print out of it I could use wherever needed. There was major confusion though over our handicapped hang tag. They'd given us one with a wrong number on it previously and told us to come back in for a new one (in a handwritten letter.) The clerks asked for the letter, which we didn't have. They decided after talking it out amongst themselves in front of us that our current tag is fine. I really hope so! I was also able to register to vote and change my address at this bureau. Tips: they take cash, credit or check. This bureau also does title transfers and title service, has a notary service and many other services.

After getting a number, we had a long wait time to get a simple vehicle inspection - which was also a joke. The employee literally walked around the vehicle, wrote down the VIN number and the mileage. For this we waited about 1.5 hours. The communication of the employees wasn't clear and I left there just as confused as when I walked in. Overall a total waste of time! The next morning we went to the location in Lebanon and it was a totally different experience!

Gave me incorrect information. It was a completely different experience at the Centerville location as the people that work. There were extremely friendly very fast, very efficient and very accurate with the information on what I needed and got me through the process really quickly and painlessly. During the identification verification, we presented his USCIS-approved ID. This is currently in use while his Naturalization Certificate is being processed - a situation that often requires a bit more understanding and patience. When a second form of identification was requested, we offered a recent bank statement. Unfortunately, our attempt to have this document printed is (on their printer as she instructed)at the counter was unsuccessful. The staff member, a young lady with curly hair( her ID was flip-back),then informed us that my son would need to retrieve another address-bearing ID from home. While we fully comprehend and respect the need for proper identification, the manner in which this information was conveyed was notably abrupt and dismissive, creating an unnecessarily stressful atmosphere. Further concerns arose when my son attempted to clarify his preference regarding the organ donor question on his application. His initial query was met with an apparent lack of acknowledgment. When I politely reiterated his question, the staff member responded curtly with, "Let me just finish this!" This interaction, delivered without eye contact, felt very dismissive and demonstrated a clear unwillingness to assist with a simple, yet important, clarification. Adding to our disappointment, when I tried to ask a follow-up question concerning the identification requirements, I was interrupted mid-sentence. This repeated pattern of being cut off and disregarded made effective communication extremely difficult. It is particularly disheartening as this is not an isolated incident; we experienced similar rude and interruptive behavior from the same individual during a previous visit in May.
