After shopping around at a couple of other places, she decided to go with Car Stereo City. Emad is the man... he laid everything out. He presented several options, explaining the advantages and disadvantages of the brands, the features, and so forth. It came down to a choice between Pioneer and Kenwood. She ended up going with the Kenwood. Emad explained what they would do and gave her a nice deal. He provided an estimate of how long the work would take, and it was actually completed a little earlier than expected. They kept the car clean, no trash or debris anywhere in sight, and nothing on the floor mats. The installation was nice and clean (see photo). Emad took the time to show her how everything worked and answered any/all questions she had. The shop itself is very easy to find (on Claremont Mesa Boulevard near the 163 freeway) and the show room is super clean. They have a lot of products laid out and you can ask for a demo. Overall, we had an excellent experience here. Service was exceptional and this shop is super clean with a huge selection of products. Whatever you need for your vehicle, they can do... security, audio, cameras (dash and backup), navigation, tinting, and more. They have a nice website with photo galleries and other information... CarStereoCitySanDiego.com. This will be our family's go to place for car audio and other services. I plan to return in the near future to upgrade speakers and take care of other things. Where things started to slip was on the pickup side. I was told the car was ready, but still ended up waiting about 30-40 minutes before actually getting it. At checkout, I was also surprised to see a tip screen with suggested amounts that felt pretty high given the service. I ended up leaving a small tip, but the experience itself didn't really match that level of expectation. I also would have appreciated a quick walkthrough of the work that was done--especially at that price point--but it was more of a quick handoff of the keys. I came back for the 10-day follow-up and made a point to ask about timing ahead of time. I was told it would take about an hour. I arrived early, but after an hour the car hadn't been touched yet, and there wasn't any update unless I asked. That part was frustrating. So, they ended up rushing my 10-day follow-up inspection. Gave the car a quick rinse and handed me the keys. What was the point of driving down from Carlsbad??? Over 3 hours wasted. For comparison, I had a great experience at their Kearny Mesa location previously, so I know what they're capable of. This location is stretched thin, which seemed to impact communication and overall service. I was not the only customer in the lobby feeling this way. Given the type of clientele they're working with and the pricing, I was expecting a bit more consistency and attention to detail. Their follow-up consisted of more sales pitches of coupons for services I already had done. Would have been nice to have the discounts PRIOR to the work! I planned on using the wash program and mentioned to Jasmine my poor service experience. Think there was follow-up? Nada. So, thumbs "kind of" up for Ceramic Pro but thumbs down for this location. Overall, I think the company itself does good work, and have used the Kearny Mesa location in the past several times with excellent success!! I would not choose this location again.

They had told me when I got there that they wouldn't guarantee me the best application due to the type of material the overlay was, on the cheaper side, and told me they'd try their best. Said it would've took them an hour or so as well. They finished well less then an hour and did a superb job as well for the material they were working with. I had an appointment to fix it and they kept moving me. Evidently they ended up closing the shop. So I contacted Tint world Miramar and they were gonna end up charging me the whole price to re-do the windshield tint, but when I explained the situation they realized they needed to fix what had happened. They didn't charge me a cent and redid the whole thing and made it darker with no charge. Definitely going to come back again and finish tinting the whole car. It looks amazing and I'm glad they heard me out and gave me exquisite customer service.
