I picked up a Giant Slice of Mushroom Pizza togo. It was very delicious, warm, fresh and similar to a real NY style type. It reminded me somewhat of Scarr's Pizza in NYC tbh. The crust was very well prepared and coal fired with a slightly sweet flavor to it. It wasn't even bitter like some places, but it was extremely toasty which is great too. It was very crispy and thin. The cheese was thick, rich, good quality, creamy tasting in a way and spotty in appearance like a good pizza often has. The sauce was very good, very tomatoey and kind of sweet. The mushrooms were well cooked into the pizza and tasty obviously as well. The service from the lady at the counter whom I paid was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. Finally ! Another great pizza spot. I only discovered this place driving by it while in the downtown area recently. I will be back in the future.
FINALLY! A pizza spot that serves all beef pepperoni pizzas. I've searched high and low and can't believe it took me this long to stumble upon this gem. I wanted all beef pepperoni and crispy wings and that's exactly what they provided and it was SO GOOD! My new go to pizza spot
Good God this was so good, not only did it hit just right, it's family owned and the family is so amazingly sweet. Pizzas were beautiful, and the crust/cheese/ sauce ratio was perfect. The sauce and the cheese were fantastic. I've been wanting fried ravioli for so long I can't even tell you. Chicken parm, sauce was perfect, chicken wasn't greasy nice coating. The salad and soup was good the chicken On the salad was great! Super cute place, something about it is so warm and inviting. They were so kind I'll be back again
Mony's is located next to Siu Lap City (which changed owners) and is in the former location of Cafe 13 (we miss their boba drinks). Parking is a bit tight in the lot but there is street parking. The menu has a lot of items (4-5 pages worth). I tried some pizza rolls, which were good, but the dough texture tasted a bit different than pizza rolls I had in the paste that had more chew and texture to it. The guava drink was interesting; it's a bit too sugary and sweet though. I got a piece of their supreme pizza equivalent; wow is it large. The flavor was fine and reminded me of a mix of a New York style and a delivery style. It's nice that it looks like their items and dough are made in house but I do think the pizza game is fairly good in town to compare against. Although this is a nice family owned spot, the pizza isn't above and beyond to the moon for me and it'd be hard to pick the pizza I tried over some of the other spots in the area when that pizza craving hits
My husband and I were craving pizza but didn't know where to go, and we were interested in trying some new place. We decided to order from Mony's since that was popping up on my for-you page. Price wise, I think it's actually decent. We got a 16 inch supreme pizza and some mozz sticks. The mozz sticks were definitely crispy and delicious but the marinara sauce that it came with was slightly bland. I enjoyed it better with ranch. The pizza was really good, and massive! I had about 2 slices which was perfect and we had leftovers for the next day! I'd definitely want to try this place in person next time and maybe another pizza on their menu!
OMG! I really loved this place. The Mony's pizza was a perfect combo of different toppings. I got ricotta cheese added, just because i have to. The sweet Italian sausage is amazing alongside the peppers and mushrooms. Service was quick and kind. The layout of the place is a bit like a bar, but its actually a cafe. I would recommend this a cool hangout spot, not necessarily a date spot.
This place is somewhat hidden in a strip mall full of Asian businesses. I think the location used to be a Mexican restaurant between Khan's and the Chinese BBQ shop. They are one of the few late night food options in Midtown especially on a weeknight. I usually order through the delivery apps but have been on site several times. Their prices are reasonable and their food is good for what you get. The pizza crust is thin but I wouldn't say crispy. Their pizza rolls are like egg rolls rather than stuffed dinner rolls. I think my favourite pasta dish is their manicotti which seems to be handmade rather than heated from frozen.
Everything was delicious the pizza the appetizer all super yummie! The service tho was not great I had empty drinks on the table never came to check on us. It wasn't busy, food was great service not so much sadly.
Mony's combo is really good a long side the pizza I ordered for my kids and their friends. I ordered a chamoy smoothie and 2 different desserts. The New York cheesecake and Limoncello cake and both were phenomenal. I recommend this restaurant to families and any guests with a palate like their establishment. From the walk in the service was professional and fast to my liking.
Easily has become one of our favorite pizza places in Houston lately! Crispy crust - the most delicious tomato sauce and high quality ingredients! Our favorite was the pepperoni and mushrooms - those mushrooms are so good!! Would love to try some of the specialty pizzas. The 24" is huge!!! Everyone thought we were having a pizza party cause it was THAT big! The only caveat to the large pies is that you don't get any crust in the middle slices and I love crust! The pizza by the slice is ginormous! The restaurant is quaint with bar and table seating. The owner is friendly and from the front of the menu, he's from Italy!! Restaurant has parking out front and shares the complex with several other restaurants in midtown. Family/kid friendly and worth a visit! Our take out pies were just as good, but they come out piping hot when you eat at the restaurant!
First the food: My first visit was to order the spaghetti with homemade meat sauce for a little over $12. This is a table service restaurant with a couple of tables outside in front and indoor seating in a main room with a long bar for more seating. My meal took about 15 minutes to arrive and consisted of a large serving in a big bowl. Also, there were 4 pieces of buttered French bread on the side. This was delicious and filling. The marinara was slightly sweet and combined with the beef and pasta to make me really enjoy this dish. Ditto on the French bread too. I'm glad I ordered this meal and would do it again without hesitation. It represented an excellent value too. Co-owner Maria waited on my table and was friendly and charming. She along with her husband who also stopped by showed pride in their family owned restaurant. The next visit was to try a pizza pie. I went with a hamburger, onion and mushroom combination and asked for it to be cooked well done. This 12" pizza totaled over $18 before tax. It came out about 15 minutes and was very good tasting. I enjoyed this meal too but felt it was a little expensive. Second, the location: Mony's is located in a low rent strip center with its own parking lot. If that's full, there is additional parking on the strip center roof accessible by a ramp. Both of my visits were for lunch and I thought the general area was a little sketchy. Not sure what nighttime is like. Once inside the restaurant it's a warm, attractive and comfortable interior. At night I would recommend to try to not park on the roof there due to its seclusion. I will eagerly return here when I'm in the area looking for some Italian.
Having seen the large pizza slices here, I was excited to try out Mony's. We came on a Saturday during lunch time and were greeted and seated immediately. We ordered a large ceasar salad to share, a slice of Mony's pizza, a slice of Italian Grandma pizza and a fettuccine alfredo with shrimp. The ceasar salad was like any other salad you would get - nothing special. Both slices of pizza were delicious! The crispy thin crust and the flavorful toppings paired well with the perfect amount of cheese. Mony's really gotten pizza down! The alfredo was pretty good, but again nothing real special. My toddler really enjoyed it though. They gave us 5 large shrimps, which seemed fair for the $18 price tag. The service was great! Our waitress was extremely attentive and kind. The owner came out a few times to check on us and conversed with us before we left. I will definitely be back sometime to try some of their other slices!
We stumbled upon them randomly, and so glad we decided to try this place! Everyone here is friendly and made our online order quickly. Food was so yummy! We created our own pizza with pepperoni, bacon, and bell peppers. I wish the crust was a tad thicker but our slices may have just been too loaded for the thinner crust. Wings were a good size and quite flavorful - even had this smoky taste that reminded me of being wood fired. read more
A little dive with American Italian cooking never hurt nobody! Mony's has a classic menu, and also... buffalo wings? Naturally, we had to have some. I was pleasantly surprised. The wings were the star of our meal, and disappeared quicker than I could get a photo. We got them medium but they came out mild, so feel free to get them spicy. The pizza was pretty great! We had the Italian Grandma, and I just wish it had a bit more sausage and basil, and just a little less cheese - but I can't complain much. It had a crispy crust, and tasted great. Nice folks! We were hungry after seeing the Mariachi Festival at the Wortham. When passing by, I decided to turn around. The service was friendly. My friend and I each had a slice of pizza. I had the vegetable one. It's about $9. The slice is huge. I could only eat half even if it's thin. There is free parking and BYOB with no corkage fee. You can even order pizza and take it to the wine bar next door. Check out the pizza sizes as outlined on the boxes on the wall. read more

We ordered takeout from here and after trying it we didn't think it was anything "special" but it also wasn't bad. We ordered a half pepperoni, half Hawaiian pizza as well as 10 piece Buffalo wings. The wings were good and Buffalo sauce had a bit of a spice. Pizza was well cooked and we liked that the crust wasn't thick. It did have somewhat of a strong garlic taste. We didn't think the price was bad, approx $30 for everything. Once arriving, the restaurant looked clean and well kept. Staff was friendly as well. Would suggest to check it out if in the area but I don't think we'd make the drive just for this again :) read more

mony's is one of our favorite late-night spots, but also just one of our favorite pizza spots. it's the perfect place to go after a night out, or just to grab a quick lunch or dinner. they have lots of lunch specials too. we always get a giant slice, which is just $10, and is a full meal by itself. the caesar salad is also really yummy. the woman who is always at the counter is so kind. read more

A lucky find for a late night craving. Mony's owner / waitress is the sweetest woman ever. The vibe is so cozy, especially with the holiday vibes. This place offers pizza anywhere from the slice to a huge 30" option. Today we got the wings and they were lovely, subtly crispy and not too oily. And the pizza, we had half "Healthy Pizza" and half "Italian Grandma's ". The thin crust was amazing and I was appreciated how light the whole cheesy pizza (with the cheese pull and all). I'm now proud to claim I have found my local favorite Italian in the Houston area. And for the dessert, my friend got a slice of all of the cakes Cakes were affordable and absolutely delicious. read more

I had NEVER been here before and I'm always lookin' for a really good pizza joint outside of traditional franchised commercial advertising places like your Pizza Hut, Domino's, etc. I love really good mom & pop shops emphatically. I was stuck between checking out The Coastline Pizzeria or Mony's Pizzeria and just decided "you know what? I'm gonna check out Mony's because I gotta see this mega slice pizza they sell there" MAN....this place did not disappoint. The customer service was amazing, the space and atmosphere was pleasant and spacious and they had a bar area to sit and eat at like I imagine you'd do at a pizzeria and get a view into the kitchen. The fried ravioli was crispy with a good blend of mozzarella and ricotta all made from scratch by the man himself chef Joe Mony. Man he was really sweet to my wife and I, so much so he gave us a complimentary cake that had a combination of like a chocolate mousse, thin layered chocolate cake, and what also appeared to have been and tasted like sweetened egg whites you'd typically see on a lemon meringue pie. It wasn't overly rich to the palate and it was crazy delicious as I don't normally consider myself a sweets person. That was a good slice of cake and he did great for a first attempt at it as before we left he mentioned it was their first time making that particular cake that day and be a new menu item. That was comforting to me to be part of something they're doing there. Now the PIZZA! Great flop, thinly laid dough, the crust was crispy and crunchy and had an almost sweet like aftertaste and I believe it was called the Mony's. Great sauce, awesome olive oil drizzle, cheesy flavor packed mozzarella with a good cheese pull, sweet like sausage, mushroom and red/green peppers was suffice it to say MONEY! 12/10 would recommend and go back to eat again. Great staff, awesome host and talented chef and his team. That was a great experience. read more

Stopped in to Mony's on a whim and definitely glad we came across this little gem. The food was delicious and flavorful! We ordered a Meat Lovers Pizza, Margarita Pizza, and the Mony's Combo. Their wings were nice and crispy. Our server Joseph was fantastic and very attentive. It's a very chill place and open late. 100% recommend coming in to give them a try! read more
Well, actually came to try out the place next door and saw Mony's and thought why not. And I'm here to tell you exactly why not. Upon entering, the place was empty. I'm assuming the gentleman was the owner he was friendly welcoming me and my husband to sit and stay, but we do reviews in the car. The older Hispanic woman was rude. We were looking over the menu. We didn't see she was *clearly* preoccupied behind the register right in front of us. So, when I went to place the order I got a not so gentle "Can you wait a minute?!" Hmm. Placed an order for 2 giant slices. The Mony's Pizza and the Margherita. Regretfully went to use the bathroom and the aroma become you get to the hall leading to the bathrooms was unpleasant. About 10-15 mins to ge the pizza. I opened the box and the size explains the $9.50 price. However, the taste is why this is a 2 star review. The pizza was THIN for both. I held the crust up to a red pepper flake packet to show just how thin it is. The crust had the crunch of a saltine cracker. Couldn't taste the sauce on either. The Mony's pizza the toppings didn't taste like your pepperoni out of Kroger which was a plus. That's the only good thing I have to say. 2/10 rating. The Margherita pizza. Honestly, I didn't want to try it after seeing it. The topping:pizza ratio was off. The basil was brown and wilted. The mozzarella was crumbly which had be scared it's not fresh or been sitting out. 0/10 rating. 1 star for the nice man who greeted us, checked on us, and a said good bye when we were on the way out. I'm a pizza skeptic. So many "recommended" places can be overhyped. This place, with its homey ambiance, however, is everything it promises. I had a Giant slice with the house-made Italian sausage and all-beef pepperoni The crust was perfection. Crisp, but just enough of a chew that it's not a cracker. Real quality texture. The sauce was perfectly spiced, not too sweet, the cheese-just the perfect amount and you can tell it's not typical food service issue pizza cheese. First class all the way. The pepperoni great flavor, on par with everything else, the sausage, very lean, same story. Overall the combination adds up To my new favorite NY pizza place. read more

We came here intending on getting the giant slices and then decided to get calzones instead. They were good but the chicken was in big chunks, not a lot of seasoning. The Alfredo and marina were really good though and the sampler trio was delicious! Will be back again to try the big pizza slices. Also the staff were super sweet!! read more

I was trying to take a couple of friends to Siu Lab City, but they were closed for Lunar New Year celebrations. After a quick check on Yelp, we decided to try Mony's Pizzeria next door. I liked it from the first step inside. It wasn't busy, but it should be. We had a nice chat with one of the owners and ordered some fried ravioli, pizza rolls, and a 24" pie. We contemplated ordering the giant 30" pizza for grins, but decided it would be too much to carry home. The box is ENORMOUS. We asked how many people it usually serves, and she said 2. Only because 2 young guys managed to eat one themselves! It usually serves 8 or more! Fried ravioli was great. The homemade marinara sauce was really good! My friend enjoyed her pizza rolls. She picked 4 ingredients which were rolled in pizza dough and fried. My other friend and I managed to eat about 1/3 of the 24" pizza "everything" pizza we ordered. This was not a gimmicky giant pizza. This was a very tasty, thin crust pizza that just happens to be HUGE! I'd enjoy it in the restaurant, if you can. We were informed that just about anything that can be made in house is made in house, including the sausage. I believe it! Next visit, I'm going to try the pasta...and I may get a single slice on the side! Please give this family-owned place a try! read more

I ordered pizza for a 50-person event and Mony's came through. The 30-inch pizzas were a real hit. I checked with them the day before to figure out how many I needed and put in the order ahead of time. Six giant pizzas and 2 trays of salad were ready to go at the agreed upon time, I picked them up and they helped make the event a hit. Thanks Mony's! read more

Food was delicious, service was great, what more could you ask for? We had the giant slice and it is no kidding, a giant slice! Also had the calzone and it was equally delicious as well. Service was great and I presume who were the owners so friendly and consistently checking in on us. I will definitely need to be back to try some of the dishes and I hear the Alfredo pasta is a heavy hitter as well. Give it a try and support local! read more
