The food, service and ambiance is top notch. The new restaurant building has a lot more seating and the patio area is much larger than the old location. My only gripe is the parking or lack there of. Very tight and small in the designated parking on the west side of the restaurant and we've found it difficult to find parking on 18th street. If they can improve and pave the dirt parking lot on the south side, that would help. However, that being said, it's still worth a visit. read more

The fries are incredible. The thick-cut sweet potato fries taste fresh and delicious. The garlic fries are crispy and full of flavor. The dipping sauces are great too, marshmallow cinnamon on the sweet potatoes. The sliders were juicy and flavorful. Would have loved to try the bakery/desserts but I was too full. For the salad, I was put off by the large squares of cheese and would've preferred it to be chopped or shredded - it looks like they just rip up a Kraft square and throw it in there. I've been to this restaurant a couple of times since they opened their new location. The inside has such a great aesthetic the moment you walk in. When they first opened, the service was definitely slow, but it has improved. The chilaquiles are always perfectly made! The garlic fries were crispy and delicious. My hubby said the moscow mule was refreshing. The customer service may not necessarily stand out, but they get the job done. My wife was meeting a friend downtown and asked if I wanted to join them at Moo Creamery. Who could pass that up? They've really done a nice job remodeling the inside. We were able to get in to the new location and love it! The layout is very open. That can add to a high noise level if there are a lot of people, but that also adds to the fun of eating out. We were a group of about 8, we sat right in the middle of the place and ordered a variety of burgers, salads, milkshakes and drinks. Everything tasted amazing. Moo is definitely particular with their ingredients and you can taste it! The portions are generous and everyone will be able to choose something they like. You can't go wrong. The service was good. This place is lovely inside and out. The decorations are so cute and the place has skylights so it's very bright and open. The waiter we had was attentive, knowledgeable, and fun! I had the harvest salad with salmon and it was perfectly cooked salmon. This isn't first time at the new location. It is nice that's its walking distance to the theater. Came on a Thursday and the place was packed but the crew was doing a great job getting everyone through as quickly as possible. From the time we were seated to, taking our drinks/food order and for everything to come out it was super quick which we appreciate. I got the Asian pulled pork burrito that was on the rotating menu. The flavor was good and you got some fried wonton chips on the side which I felt you needed for a crunch factor. The burrito was stuffed and full of flavor. Updated review for new location! Wow what a fun location. The central point of the room is the bar that is both inside and outside looking into the large back patio. I think the amount of seating is probably similar to old location.. maybe a little bigger but the flow is better and the outdoor patio/ bar really fun! They brought out my husbands main dish - brisket salad and then a while later my salmon tacos and our sweet potato fries. I wasn't thrilled about the wait for food but their food is top quality it's worth the wait. I was so excited to see salmon tacos back on the menu. They are delicious and you don't feel excessively stuffed or bloated after , especially with the greens side salad. The sweet potato fries as always were phenomenal, heavenly, the best thing on the menu. I got a crimson pine and then later a Paloma, both were fresh and delish and light, perfect with my salmon tacos and salad. Moo on Q is the new place to be. As locals know, they've been serving up some of the best food and ice cream in Bakersfield since 2008. I love their burgers, and their gravy fries are a must. I grabbed the en fuego burger on my last visit and highly recommend it. It's super flavorful! The new location and it is absolutely beautiful. It is clear they put so much care and intention into the remodeling of the building, while still preserving the iconic green and brick aesthetic which this building has been known for. They installed an incredible bar which has the ability to open to the outdoor patio when the weather is nice. Both the indoor and outdoor dining areas seem like such fun spots to enjoy a meal. Geographically, it's pretty awesome to have Moo Creamery located in the heart of the city. Parking is pretty ample and easy. The staff is always super friendly and attentive. Then, access was restricted and it became a corn maze by automobile, to find it. Now it's easy peasy to get to it, at their new LARGER location, a historic, beautiful building, in Old China Town. It's been a long time since I've had Moo Creamery. Their new location is gorgeous! The atmosphere is so inviting and would be a fun place to dine with a group of people. It was a Thursday night and this place was packed. Surprisingly we got seated in about 15 minutes. The espresso martini was amazing I'd even say one of the better ones I've had in town. Garlic fries and sweet potato fries were cooked very well and I love the unique dipping sauces they come with. The cinnamon marshmallow sauce was delicious with the sweet potato fries but the spicy 1000 island was my favorite. Their menu is extensive so it was hard for me to choose my main. I noticed a lot of people around me were ordering cheeseburgers so I did the same. The Moo Burger was so juicy. I ordered mine medium and it was pretty pink on the inside. I'd be weary of that maybe next time I'd order medium well. I really enjoyed dining here. The service was slow because it was so busy and I found a lot of the time when I asked for a condiment or a box the waitress would forget. Had to try out the new location and we choose a Friday night to do it. It surprisingly wasn't too packed but we did have to wait for about 15-20 minutes for a table. First off, the new location is so much bigger than the last one and I love the new, trendy colors and decor. Everything from the aged brick to the fashion forward sage green color spread throughout. So we decided to go with the kids mac and cheese and fries, the bacon and Gruyère burger, the mushroom Gruyère burger and the brisket melt sandwich. Oh, and a side of garlic fries. Everything was delicious. My husband said the Gruyère and mushroom burger was bomb and my daughter said the Mac and cheese had a weird texture but was still good. As for the brisket melt, I liked it but it just wasn't enough meat in it for me. The sourdough focaccia bread it was on was delicious but since the bread is so thick the meat was just lost in between the slices. Awesome, modern new spot! The dedicated parking alongside the building is a bit dicey when full. There's so much street parking though so shouldn't be a problem really. Everything we tried, from the drinks to the mac & cheese fritter appetizers to our main dishes, was really good. I had the spicy tuna wrap (a special), and it was so good. It's exactly what I picture when I think of the perfect tuna wrap. They added jicama, which gave it such a nice, refreshing crunch, and it really brought everything together. The homemade potato chips are a must-try, and the watermelon lemonade is something you should definitely get while it's still on the menu. We came down to Bakersfield for fencing and dog training and decided to go to Moo creamery's new location. It is beautiful inside and much bigger than the old location. We put our names down for a table rsvp and had to wait around 30 mins but that was enough time to water and walk our dog. We got seated in the patio and it was nice and cool even though it was outside. We got water and drinks right away and they even filled up our water bucket for our dog. We got the beef taquitos, kids hamburger and the PB hamburger. Everything was great and we even got to sample some of the ice cream. The pistachio was perfect for the hot day that it was. Four of us came in for Saturday Brunch before Mother's Day. They were very busy but the wait wasn't long. This was my first time eating at their new location on 18th Street. A wonderful diner experience. I'm a big Guy Fiero Triple D fan on television and he showcased Moo Creamery in Bakersfield. The hostess greeted me with a warm smile and helped me with the free WiFi password. I was seated next to the window and was offered water immediately. The server was polite and helpful. She told me that the PB & B was featured on DDD. So I ordered this unusual burger with peanut butter, arugula, potato chip, and a bacon jam and was very impressed with the combined flavors. DOWNTOWN UPDATE! I love that they moved into a historic spot that used to be the New China Cafe over 100 years ago. They restored it beautifully and even added special plates to honor the history, which I'm totally here for! Friday night date night!!! We decided to hit the new Moo location which we love the location and the size of their new place. It's beautiful inside but can be a bit loud. The first thing I absolutely love is you can join a waitlist from home. More and more places I have found are starting to do this which is great especially if the weather is a bit chilly outside. So our wait time was almost spot on what the app had predicted. We were sat in the front room against the wall. The started to sit us next to the corner table which is a weird configuration especially with a small 2 person table next to it. We asked for the table down as there just wasn't enough room for us without being part of their party. It took our server Jessica about 20 minutes before she made an appearance to let us know she would be right back to start our order. She brought a milk jug with ice cold water and asked if we wanted anything else to drink which we ordered iced tea. She then waited on the poor table next to the corner spot which they went ahead and place their entire order. Before Jessica could leave we went ahead and did the same. We ordered our favorite appetizer the hummus and fried pita chips. My wife ordered the salad and I ordered the Bacon, Gruyere Burger from the specials cooked medium with homemade chips. About another 20 minutes have gone by and still no iced tea. The server running the food station brought out our appetizer. Still no tea and the water is almost gone oh and no setup either. The table next to us was the same thing. So my wife Flagged down one of the younger servers or maybe busboys to help us out and the table next to us with silverware and napkins. To me and I was a sever in my younger years this should be done by the hostess. Finally Jessica makes a rare appearance or I should say walk by and I signaled that we need our teas. Again several minutes pass by and finally the teas show up. Within a minute our dinner shows up. The food is always excellent,. The burger was perfectly cooked with awesome flavors as well as my wife's salad. I should mention my tea glass and now empty and no Jessica. We were almost done with our meal before anyone checked to see if we needed anything or if it was to our liking. Unfortunately the tea never got refilled out neighbors never got his chocolate shake. So what suggestions as a ex-server could I give y'all. Because we will be back and will probably sit at the bar where Mason is running the show. You have plenty of help around just no one supervising the crew to make sure things are getting done. Bad service will kill a business even if the food is outstanding. First off the hostess should be caring the setup to the tables when they seat the guest. The bus/servers should be hitting the tables when they are seated and get the water out and they should also be walking around with a water and tea pitcher to keep those glasses full. If our servers area was too big for her then she either needs to ask for help or get organized so that she doesn't get behind. Maybe make the sections smaller especially if there is a large party in that section. I would get rid of the 2 seater table next to the corner table. No one is going to like sitting that close to the corner table unless they are actually part of that party. I wished Yelp would have a different way of rating businesses.
