I'm a boba tea addict, so when I passed by this store and noticed that it had recently opened, and that based on its name, it was probably a boba shop, I had to try it. Mootea is in a strip mall and shares a parking lot with multiple other business, but I was quickly able to park right in front of the store. The interior is modern with pink/gray accents, and has a comfortable feel to it. There were only a few other people there when I went, so the noise level was low. Even though it might get busier as more people find out about it, I definitely could see this place being an ideal spot for studying or getting some work done. I like the Chinese Blue Rabbit candy and have heard of places using them to make drinks/milkshakes, so decided to try their Blue Rabbit Boba Milk Tea. The staff told me that it would be a little bit of wait as they were cooking part of the mixture that goes into that drink, but I had planned to stay there and catch up on a few emails anyway, so didn't mind the wait. After around 15 minutes, my drink was ready. The drink had a nice creamy/milky taste and was pretty good. However, the boba itself was very mushy, so I wasn't a fan of it. Their menu offers a pretty wide selection of teas from the traditional milk teas to more unique drinks like a Creme Brûlée Milk Tea or Creamas available in different fruit flavors. They also serve several types of Mille Crepes and other dessert options. Mootea did just open about a week ago, so I know that they are still working out the kinks. This place does have a lot of great potential though and I do see it becoming a great addition to the area. I do plan and look forward to coming back and trying some of their other drink and dessert options in the near future. read more

The first thing I thought when I walk in is the interior design is really cute and girly, worth for Instagram photos. I ordered the signature crème brûlée milk tea and the cheese creme matcha latte, glad I change the sugar level for both drinks, because they are still really sweet even I changed the sweetness to 30%. Signature creme brûlée milk tea: Between both drinks I ordered, this is my favorite for sure, I like how milky the milk tea is and the strong tea base it has. It's decent like a lot of popular brand, the only thing is I can't really tell the flavor of the creme brûlée on top because the tea flavor had covered up everything. 8/10 Cheese creme matcha latte: I don't think I like this drink a lot, as a huge matcha fan, I am a bit disappointed on how light the flavor it was. Most of the matcha flavor was covered by the cheese creme, so all I can taste is the salty cream cheese will a slight matcha after taste. After the finish the drink, everything that left in the drink are all cheese creme (you can tell how much cheese creme they had put in, it's nearly half of the whole cup). Unfortunately I don't think I will order it again. 4/10 The cheese creme they have are salty base, I think it will suit more on fruity drinks than actual tea, next time if I get the chance I might order fruit tea instead. The customer service is ok, the drinks take quite some time to make it, but it's fine since the store is pretty new, so I assume the staff is still in training. read more

I really liked the vibe and interior of this place, but I am not sure how I felt about the dessert. There were a lot of things that they had on the menu that they did not actually have. Almost all the things we initially asked for were not available. I know it is new, but maybe they should say it's a soft opening until they can serve their full menu? We had the rose petal lychee crepe and the box cake. They were between $8-10 mark and were just average in taste. I would rather buy a full cake for $25-35 at the many other bakeries in the area then spend this much on average slices. The cheese teas were pretty good, but they messed up my friends order and the excuse was that they didn't have the ingredient for what he ordered. Mooteamootea :-) The cafe's interior is bright and cute, decorated with marble tables and velvet chairs. For a store that just opened, the service and quality of the food was great. My friends and I visited here after a galentines dinner and it was the perfect way to end a night. We ordered the matcha crepe cake ($8 per slice), a strawberry cake ($3.99), and a creme brulee latte (4.25, if I remember correctly). The latte was delicious! The matcha crepe was a little to bland for my taste but for people who love matcha, it's a must try. Yikes! I saw the great reviews and the great pix, so I had high expectations for this spot. It was definitely a let down... We tried 3 items, creme brulee milk tea (most popular item of the night), lychee rose mille crepe cake, and cup of lychee. I asked if the cup of lychee had tea and they said yes, jasmine green tea. Let's start with the cake, no lychee or rose flavor. The top layer was a layer rose colored gelatin, which is where all the flavor was I guess, but it was not enough to cover the rest of the cake. The rest of it just tasted like sweet whipped cream. Definitely not worth the $8-9 dollars they charged per slice. Second was the creme brulee milk tea. Not sure if they were rushing or not, but pretty sure they are supposed to put a ring around the rim of the cup to keep it from melting. They melted the cup and still served it. Made us wonder if there was plastic in our drink and also the lid didn't close right...and drink was just ok... And lastly, I got 30% sugar and the cup of lychee tasted like lychee flavor watery slush. And the aloe that comes with it (didnt know it was in there) tasted weird. All in all, none of the items we got were good. But the place was aesthetically pleasing, drinks were ig worthy, but taste...needs work. Also took forever to get our drinks. I am officially obsessed with their soy foam specialty tea. I've had it twice, and it has so many amazing flavors, densities, and textures within one cup. The first time I ordered it, I said 50% sugar and it turned out to be quite sweet. The second time around, I said no sugar, and it was PERFECT. The portion is very small for the $7 that you pay, so I'll only be coming here once in a while, but I highly recommend trying it! Walking in, you are greeted by the cute interior of pink, white and gold fixtures and furniture. My boyfriend and I opted for the cup full of oranges and cup of grapefruit, which were both delicious. If you tend to like sweeter teas, you may need to ask for extra sweetness. However, for us, the tangy tea flavor with hint of fruit was perfect. We also ordered the strawberry cake, which was a disappointment as the only "strawberry" part of the cake was the half sliced strawberry on top and some strawberry slices in the middle (I was expecting macerated berries or a more pronounced strawberry flavor). Coming in at almost $7 for a slice, I would pass on this particular cake next time (the peach oolang crepe cake is next on my list). Duluth, a city where there are so many options for bubble tea and desserts, Moo Tea better be amazing. However, I can only say they are decent at best. Their lychee in a cup and grapefruit in a cup was okay at most. Lychee tasted very much like in a can. Their rose crepe cake honestly wasn't that good. It had a very floral scent to it and tasted pretty bland. They didn't had much desserts options when my friends and I visited. The cashier lady didn't really speak English so we mostly just pointed to what we wanted. The decor is simple and pretty - very girly I say. Would I come back? Maybe, but not for a while. Let's start off with the good. I like their fruit tea. It's pretty good but it's seems like their jasmine tea they use for the fruit tea maybe is a bit over brewed? The tea was pretty bitter in taste like the temp used to brew the tea was too hot but honestly it didn't really bother me too much. Their Cup full of Lychee was different than expected I didn't know it would be a blended drink but my bf and I did enjoy the drinks. What seemed a little weird to me was the price. So both the tea we bought were $5.95 before any taxing. So I bought my tea first and paid while the lady rang me up it came up to $6.10 which is correct. A while later my bf decided to get the Cup full of Lychee. Which is listed the same price as my drink $5.95 and it rung up as $6.15 after the taxes...now obviously I'm not going be mad at the 5 cent difference but then when we were charged on card it came to be $6.20...that's also very weird. So from $6.10 to $6.15 and ended up being $6.20? How could that be possible. So maybe they charge 3% or something but we were not being told that they would do so nor was there a sign as well. I'm not upset about the 10 cent difference but rather just very confused. If you guys do charge service charge for cards you really should tell your customers. And even before then. One drink costs $6.10 and the other is $6.15 ($6.20) is weird to begin with already. Note the time my bf went to order his tea it was I think the guy boss of the place. So either way. The tea is good. But I hope their prices actually stays constant when their menu says the things are mostly same pricing. Other than that I'm still willing to give them more tries because I have yet to try their crepes. One last thing. My friend recommended me to this place but it really disappoints me.... We ordered 3 drinks plus 1 piece of cake, three of them got wrong when we got the food. For drinks, we required no ice and 30% sugar, two drinks got wrong. For the crepes, smaller piece than Lady M but charged the same. The taste is just ok, but really worth this price. I just need a piece of cake and gonna eat in their place, I sat there for 20 mins but no one cut the cake and give me what I ordered. I ordered a new cake which they don't have it on their system now so the cashier typed another cake which has the same price with the one I ordered. When I asked them when I will get my food, they spent another 5 mins to pack up the cake on the receipt which I told them I wanna eat in store and not that cake. Please come here if you have a lot of free time I wouldn't recommend to those who have to rush. Also had one of there cakes it was ok but I don't think it was worth $6.
