I have tried the croissants at Arsicault in San Francisco, Car Bakery in LA as well as croissants in Paris. The almond croissant has a delicious filling but I would be hard pressed to call it a croissant as there are no layers and the dough is not laminated. The cheese danish was perfectly sweet. The service was prompt and friendly.

So glad we found this little hike in the wall. The folks that work there were super friendly. The food was so tasty and inside had cute French bistro vibes. We will definitely be back!

This is a lovely quaint spot. The people are very nice there and the food was very good. You can tell they bake on site. They have some bar seating and a couple of tables.

Wow, what a tasty sandwich for lunch. Hot pastrami on a baguette. Great service, food and price.

I tried the almond croissant and the bacon egg and cheese on a croissant. Food was great and the bacon egg and cheese tasted similar to what you would find in NY. The almond croissant was also very good. It's a small place but packs a big punch. majority of the customers I seen were grab and go. A couple patrons were sitting down waiting for their food to come out.

Small spot with tight parking... but that's the only downside of my favorite French Bakery. Their crepes... their sandwiches... their hot chocolate... their cheese Danish (my FAVORITE cheese danish).... it's all top tier. Every time I come to GA French Bakery I load up on all of their goodies. Amazing spot with an amazing staff, always friendly. Stop by and ask them to warm you up a cheese Danish along with a hot chocolate, you won't regret it

This place is a gem in Duluth! My friend and I decided to come try out this bakery. Upon walking in, the owner greeted me and saw that I was still looking around and trying to decide what I wanted. He told me to take my time and that he'd be back shortly to take my order, but provided a suggestion that they serve crepes on Saturdays (and Saturdays only). I decided to get the chicken crepe with a cup of hazelnut coffee. My friend got the almond croissant. The owner offered to warm up the croissant since we were eating in the cafe. While we were checking out, he shared that his wife was also Taiwanese and was excited to learn that we were as well. While we were there, he made sure that we had everything we needed (forks, knives, etc.) and checked in to see how we were enjoying our food. I liked the crepe, as it had a slight sweetness to it, which paired well with the savory fillings. I got to try a bite of the almond croissant and it was very flaky and delicious! I can't wait to come back and try the other baked goods.

    Beef sandwich. Don't recommend.

I was out this way years ago and remembered this place so I seceded to stop again. The people are very nice. I ordered a sandwich and some soup. The baguette was very forgettable and the soup was ok. I took some pastries home and they felt baked from frozen, similar to Whole Foods. I'll probably try something new next time I'm out this way.

    A box fulllll of treats.

My family and I were looking for a unique bakery to grab some treats meanwhile we ran errands and came across this gem! We absolutely love this family-owned and operated business so much. All of their pastries are tasty and made from scratch. We frequent at least once a month for their turnovers. Over the years, I've tried their cold sandwich and walked away satisfied. Their coffee is DELICIOUS. I've yet to make it in time for the crepes on Saturday (that's how popular they are) We have tried: almond croissants, regular croissants, allllll the turnovers, cookies, puffs, cinnamon rolls, and their sandwiches. Important things to note: * The space is intimate and perfect for couples, but groups may feel it isn't large enough for their space. My family of 3 have comfortably sat down for 30-45 minutes. PARKING IS TIGHT as it's in a plaza. * They DO sellout; but they also make fresh batches-- it all depends on the hour and time you arrive on the weekend (whether it's a holiday or special occasion it tends to be busier than expected) Try to get there early to not miss out. * Try everything once! Their savory bakeries items and sandwiches will blow your mind. A truly top-quality sandwich for the price, they are worth giving a try if you're in the area and want something freshly made. * Order the bread. Thank me later.

This was my second new cafe stop of the 2024 cafe journey. Although there are a lot of cafes in the area, it's sometimes difficult to find super unique ones. But this one is a one of a kind. Being an authentic French bakery, I was excited to try the treats that they had to offer. It's a quaint spot that could easily get overlooked. Although the shop is small, the decorations and staff make the place welcoming. I ordered a ham, egg, and cheese croissant with one of the speciality teas while my friend ordered a cheese danish. Both tasted INCREDIBLE. The croissant was nice and flaky, there was enough ham on the sandwich, and everything was cooked to perfection. With a little sugar added, the tea was a nice warm start to the morning. After finishing the food, my friend and I took some pictures around the shop and said our goodbyes. I'd definitely like to come back and try some more items off their menu.

It's been a very long time since I've been here. I just don't think about it but this time I did. I was telling my coworkers about this delicious place and should go get their sandwiches. I tried the hot sandwiches - caprese! I wanted the chocolate chip cookies too. Food took a minute to come out but it's okay. It's a small family shop with great people behind it. The food is delicious. My hot sandwich was a little on the sweet side but it balanced out with the salty cheesiness. I was sooo full afterwards. Surprisingly, there was bell peppers melted in my sandwich as well. The Dirty Chips were delicious. I love me some kettle style chips. The chocolate chip is soft and gooey, just the way I like it and not overly sweet. Very underrated restaurant. 83/2021

Croissanes were fresh & delicious, but the ambiance was loud and unappealing. This would be a good option for take out, but not for eat in.

How much are the big Fruit Tarts?

    $19.99 to $23.99

Is the yellow stuff inside the Almond pastry a filling?

Yes! I believe it's an almond cream filling, likely made up of sugar, almond flour, butter, and eggs. I'd check with Olivier (the owner), if he's around, or just ask whoever is behind the counter at the moment.

Do you make wedding cakes??? if so could i see some pictures?

    They don't make wedding cakes

I like the interior of the cafe as it reminds me a bit of Stylenanda in Korea (pink!). I can't speak on the drinks, only the pastries and cakes, and yeah, they're good! Probably shouldn't leave any pastries with fruit longer than a few hours since it'll get soggy though. We had a few birthdays to celebrate, and Confections was the go-to choice to for a lot of people this year. Not too sweet cream with fruit and fluffy cake, it was perfect for many in our group. The only cake I would not recommend that I've tried would be the Dubai chocolate cake. Not only is it more expensive, it's smaller than the other offered cakes. As a cake, it doesn't quite match up to Dubai chocolate strawberry cups that you can get elsewhere. The kunafa loses its crispiness being sandwiched between cake, and there isn't much pistachio flavor. I would've expected pistachio cream, but there really wasn't any on this cake. There are more strawberries on the strawberry cream cake, which fair, makes sense, but the Dubai cake wasn't as amazing as it sounded. Just tall. Good thing we had another cake from Confections that day since it was a joint birthday.

We walked into a small, straightforward space where what stood out immediately was the variety of pastries and baked goods lined up throughout the counter. The setup felt more like a grab-and-go spot, but there were enough interesting items that it made sense to slow down and actually look through what they offered. The main draw here is the bread selection. We spotted items like milk bread, pineapple buns, mochi-based pastries, and savory breads such as pork floss buns, all of which felt freshly made and rotated quickly depending on the day. The milk bread in particular stood out for its soft texture and rich flavor, while the sweeter items leaned more subtle rather than overly sugary. It was the kind of place where we ended up picking a few different things because it was hard to settle on just one. There were also a few refrigerated and specialty items like tarts and filled pastries, which added a bit more variety beyond the standard bakery selection. Some items felt more premium than others, and pricing varied depending on what we picked, but the overall focus was clearly on soft breads and Asian-style baked goods rather than desserts or café-style sweets. The atmosphere was simple and functional since it was inside a supermarket food court area. It was not really designed for sitting and lingering, but the space was clean and organized enough to quickly browse and make a selection. Service was straightforward, and in some cases we were able to sample items before buying, which helped when deciding between different breads. Overall, Shokku Bakery is a solid stop if you are already in the area and want fresh Japanese-style baked goods. It is not a destination bakery in terms of ambiance, but the quality of the breads and variety of options make it worth visiting for a quick pick-up, especially if you enjoy soft milk bread and classic Asian bakery items.
