    Pork Belly

I enjoyed the food here. We got pork belly plus the LA Combo! We also had beer to go with our food. We basically finished almost everything and had to pack a few left overs like the soup and some beef. I recommend this place! The server is welcoming. The service is fast too! Place is clean and organized.

Stopped by to dine in as I was craving something warm and spicy. Dining space is cozy with an option to sit in or outside. I ordered spicy pork bone soup and a fried chicken and soju combo. Food was promptly served. Spicy pork bone soup was good but tasted similar to yuk gae jang. In hindsight, I would probably order the pork bone soup next time and request a side of dadaegi so I can season it how I prefer. Spicy pork bone soup comes with some chives which goes hand in hand with each bite of thinly sliced pork. Shortly after, the fried chicken was served. There are 4 flavor options: original, sweet & spicy, soy garlic, and soy chili garlic. I opted for the sweet & spicy and was served with a little side salad and fries. The fried chicken is undoubtedly the star of the show! Perfect Korean fried chicken with too much sauce slathered everywhere, the chicken was juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and the sweet & spicy sauce was so flavorful. There's a lot of other dishes: soondae, galbi, bibimbap, jungol, soondooboo, naengmyun, etc. which makes this restaurant a gem! So many different dishes in one restaurant. I definitely recommend if you're craving some good comfort food.

Located at border of Glendale and La Crescenta. Love love love! The food was so good here. We came with a party of 6 and ordered different things. The banchan is great, kimchi is one of the better kinds. Also the lady who worked there is a very sweet and good soul. She saw my mom struggling to walk and took the time to bring my mom from the restroom back to her seat. Such a sweet gesture. My gamja tang which is spicy pork bone broth was so good and lasted for 3 meals! The flavor was so deep and rich, outstanding!

I love going here for korean food! I'm nearby here and whenever my family and I don't want to drive out to Koreatown, this is one of our favorite spots! Their soups are great and the staff is so kind! Their korean sausage is also very yummy! We like the cha one

We came here on a Friday evening before it got busy. We ordered the galbitang, beef soft tofu soup and the soondae soup. Everyone's order was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. The price is pretty standard considering inflation and the current economy. Service was also prompt and the servers were friendly! If you're looking for some solid Korean food, I would definitely recommend stopping by this location!

I came here tonight for the first time to take out, and this appears to be a newer spot! I was craving cold noodles, that I just had on my recent trip to Asia, and they did not disappoint! The perfect thing for a hot day. The packaging was also nice with the vacuum seal. I highly recommend trying this place if you're craving some good Korean food in the la Crescenta area

Wow i found jam korean restaurant at Montrose / la canada area ?? I live at Topanga- Foods are all good because i ate soondae combo with soup (blood sausages with pork meat hot soup ) & to go kalbi- tang (beef bone soup). Owner is serving good and know many knowledgeable about foods ( several restaurants owned or managed) Parking is little bit hassle but foods r so so good and service is professional too & quick Order foods - less than 5 minute foods r on the table

Came here for the first time and has a good time! It seems like a newer place and was not disappointed! It's great to have another Korean spot in la Crescenta/glendale! Service was great and so their food! Had their soondaeguk and their galbitang! Both were solid! Great place to eat! Parking does get tricky though, so you may have to street park!

Pork belly soup. The perfect bite.

Oh boy! I don't want to give 1-Star but really I should. Yes, it could have been better....but, it…read morewas 'not good' at all. This place is basic, nothing fancy and there's really no ambiance or special feelings associated with it - it's just an old-looking sit-down and serve establishment. The few people sitting to eat were random; I was there to order to-go. After asking what was the patrons favorite dish(es) the lady quickly pointed out the most expensive items on the menu. Of course she did. My eyes rolled but I was polite and decided to order something I recognized and wouldn't hate myself for in the morning. Chicken Teriyaki Can of coke My bill came to $34.23 Ahem! What? Why does a plate of Chicken Teriyaki cost so much? And why $3 for a can of coke? I just cannot wrap my head around it. This isn't a fancy restaurant at all! In fact, it's as basic as it gets with no ambiance or warmth. I cannot recommend this place at all. The food was pretty poor and nowhere near on par with classy eats that try to reach that $$ figure. Montrose is certainly a place where there are people with money and no taste...looking for reasons to spend it willy-nilly. I thought I took a photo of the plate when I got home. Guess not. Avoid if you aren't made of money and prefer well-prepared meals, not quick, mushy fast-foodish stuff.

I can see why the reviews here are mixed. My lunch experience is here as a single diner with two…read moreother tables seated and one of those two finishing up. 4 patrons in total. When I arrived I was seen from way in the back but never greeted. I walked back after a couple minutes passed and the lady asked me how many and I said "1" and she said sit anywhere. Ok... so now I got a seat and a menu. I gave my order pretty quickly and it came out fast. I didn't get checked on much at all but the kimchi beef tofu soup was good, a little on the plain watery side, and the sides themselves were ok. Total price was $16.99, ~$18 with tax. As mentioned by others, don't expect BCD tofu house here - but for being outside of K town this place is just OK. The inside is nothing special but it gets the job done and it's cozy. It is in a Vons shared shopping plaza so I wasn't expecting anything past basic. It's always a good sign when you have other Koreans eating at a Korean restaurant. As I was leaving there were 5 Korean patrons newly seated and seemed like it wasn't their first time. Overall Food = 3.5 Service = 2 Ambiance = 3 I might return but there are likely better places in the area worth checking out that have better service and quality.
