I couldn't decide on one flavor so she was kind enough to put the sauce on the side for me which was great (thank you!). I love that they gave a combination of white and dark meat, I was worried it would all be wings and it was well portioned. I enjoyed having a little salad with the fried chicken pieces and rice. The sauce was light and gently sweet, a very complimentary dip to the light crispy crunch of the breaded wings. Service was very welcoming and friendly with a very clean interior and the smell of freshly cooked food. We've ordered from Chicken Day in La Crescenta a few times. Some were delivery orders and a couple of times, we picked up the food. Korean fried chicken cravings definitely happen and its good to have one in the foothills. We just happened to be in the same plaza shopping at the market nearby when we first noticed it. We've gotten the original fried chicken wings, original fried chicken drumsticks, sweet and spicy wings and the spicy garlic wings. I've found that the original and sweet & spicy are the 2 flavors I like best for wings. The drumsticks are a little too filling and I'm really in it for the wings. The flavor of the original fried is good and the crunch is even better. 10 pieces of these wings is $15.49 while 10 pieces of the sweet & spicy wings or the spicy garlic is $15.99. The spicy garlic was a little too strong for me. I needed to eat that with a good amount of rice. The sweet & spicy is good on its own. The flavor was not too overpowering. The double fried nature of these wings make for an extra crunch which we all look for... That's always good. We also typically get the pickled radish as a side but at times that is even too strong. Located on Foothill Blvd in the same plaza as Seoul Market and directly next to Sakana Sushi. Parking is in the shared lot or along Foothill. Service the times we ordered in-person was friendly. It seemed like a family run business. Signage out front doesnt really let you know that it's a Korean fried chicken spot. This place is legit for Korean Fried Chicken. We got some chicken to-go with sauce on the side as we were afraid it might be too spicy for our son. We all loved the chicken! My only complaint about getting sauce on the side. There's not enough sauce to dip the chicken into. However, they gave us two containers, but it was so dang good I ran out of that sauce real quick! I thought the first two times were good, I got breaded chicken with rice the first time and then fried chicken the second time -- both times tasting fresh. This last time I ordered I got fried chicken in one of the sauces, as I was eating I was turned off by the quality, it tasted old. My girlfriend and I visit regularly, and we love trying different dishes on their menu. Recently, we tried their classic fried Korean chicken, and let me tell you--OMG! There might be a good amount of options for Korean food in the foothills, but not a lot of options for Korean fried chicken. If you live around the area, have found yourself craving Korean fried chicken, and don't feel like driving to Central LA or SGV, this place is a godsend. The strip mall is small, bordering the car wash and shares the plaza with a korean market and another restaurant so parking can be an issue. You have to be careful and patient; there are a lot of ajummas who drive slowly and don't look where they're walking. I usually opt to call in, the chicken is made to order, so it can take a while. There is ample seating inside, but I rarely see people dining in, it seems most people order for takeout. The chicken itself is really good, the chicken is fried perfectly, still moist on the inside while being extra crispy on the outside. They have a good variety of flavors and they're all delicious, I usually opt for half original and half either soy or spicy garlic, depending on the mood. Sometimes I'll commit sacrilege and toss the original in some buffalo sauce at home. They also include some pickled daikon on the side. The kimbap is just ok. My kids raided the basket of boneless original chicken and then rated it 10/10. The 15 piece size is more than 15 "pieces" and was enough for all three young kids. It comes with a sauce at the table that is not spicy but not ketchup (Korean ketchup?) and they enjoyed it as well. My husband and I shared the cabbage salad which was refreshing - and I didn't see it on the menu- and the garlic spicy which was perfect amount of spicy. Service was super fast, friendly. I think I saw only two women working the register and the kitchen. Very sweet and want to support this delicious spot! The parking lot in front is small but I think there's more in the back. Came for a snack and what better than Korean fried chicken. While we didn't expect much, I was pretty happy with what we ordered. We got 12 pc drumstick with 6 original and 6 in their garlic spicy sauce. Along with that, two orders of wedge fries, and a gimbop (tuna). To start, the gimbop came out and it was decently made. Tightly packed and filled with different ingredients. The sauce that came with it wasn't very spicy and could have done more with Gochujung, but oh well. The vinegared daikon that came with the chicken was nicely done. The wedge fries were decently fried too. But the main show stealer was the chicken. I started with the original and the crispy on the exterior and then the moistness and full-flavor on the meat was spectacular. The garlic spicy is pretty similar, but the sauce didn't really hit the same. I think mainly because it tasted like a Mae Ploy dip with garlic flavoring. The chicken wasn't bad still, but the sauce left me wanting a more unique or spicier sauce. The jewelry shop owner told me that their food was good so I had to give it a try. The lady behind the counter was friendly and helpful since it was my first time there. The restaurant is clean and bright. I ordered a lunch special to go. It consisted of three full chicken wings in a sweet and spicy sauce (very good), a scoop of white rice, small salad with dressing and a soda. I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was cooked perfectly. She told me when I ordered that it would take fifteen minutes and now I know why. Everything is cooked to order. That made the wings crunchy and flavorful. I've been to chicken day many times and their chicken is rather good in the local neighborhood. The chicken is nice and crispy and soft with a crunch. I love the fried over the other flavors, because I love chicken by itself fried. But i recommend sweet & spicy for any new comers as well! The restaurant chicken tastes good but they aren't super consistent in the chicken and its sometimes a lil tough. This is a small hole in the wall place in a small strip mall. They have solid fried chicken wings, whole, half, dark, white, whatever your preference with a few awesome sauces to choose from. Next time I will ask for the sauce on the side, it gets a lot gooey and overwhelming. They also have gimbab and two kinds of soup. Parking can be tough, they're competing with another restaurant, a market and a bakery but luckily there's a lot of people taking out and the parking turns over relatively quickly. read more
