Exceptional customer service! What really sets apart a business from another is the customer service. You can get a 5 star treatment but have a 3 star experience because of bad customer service. The front desk staff are the first and last people you see and make a huge impact, so I always like to give a shout out when someone is especially good. Nick totally made my day. He went above and beyond for me and I originally wasn't planning on going back because of the location, but he changed my mind. I will definitely be going back to see Christy. Chrissie is often my go-to, but she and Larry shared my formula and make it easy to go to either, they all get along and really do what's best for the customer. He takes his time to get the cut perfect and is expert at creating a cut that frames my face/chin/etc. He spends time before shampooing to discuss what's going on with my hair (dry & frizzy) and why that might be. Have not been to this shop in a long time and realized quickly why when I returned last week. Needed a last minute highlight and haircut so they said Cassidy was free. Ok color but horrendous cut, no idea what she was doing in that department. As she's cutting my hair she tells me she's only 21 as she's chipping away finally I just asked her to stop!. As a high end salon in the burbs charging city prices honestly please have experienced talent who know what they're doing. I tried not to make a big deal about it but told the manager I didn't like the cut. She just smirked and said sorry. Honestly it's like the mean girls club walking in there, no warmth or welcoming feel at all. Oh with one exception, Chrissy - sweet and great stylist. Should have waited to see her but took a chance, won't do that again or go back, lesson learned. read more

Liz is THE BEST. I have tried many different professionals for my eyelashes and had challenges with being allergic, having been to places in Boston, the Boston suburbs, Newport, Rhode Island, Pacific Heights, California. I am not allergic to the glue and the process that Liz follows. I was also unaware of the difference between good eyelashes and GREAT eyelashes. Liz is precise and caters to your specific eyelashes as all of ours are different. Liz is an artist! She always makes my lashes look flawless and natural while still looking polished and pretty. After having my lashes done with her I don't even worry about wearing eye make which saves me so much time during my morning routine. Liz's eyelashes last longer than most based on my experience as well. I still get compliments on how full and long mine are two to three weeks after getting them done whereas most other locations have gaps by the second week. Unlike other locations the lashes don't clump together either as she makes sure each one is meticulously put on perfectly which, as a perfectionist, I always appreciate! I always ask for a realistic and natural look. As a side note: I am also a clean freak and the salon is beautiful and clean which I always appreciate. read more

Moodz is definitely *my* salon. I've been getting my hair done there for about six years now - I love my stylist and everyone there is so sweet and personable! The manicures look great; I love the gel manicure especially. Pedicures are pricey IMO but worth it if you're treating yourself. I love the spa pedicure. I went to Moodz for my wedding day and had all of my girls taken care of there with makeup and hair; everyone looked gorgeous. I really love going there. Everyone is so sweet and friendly and knows my name. Great environment that's clean and modern. Massages are just ok. They recently raised the price of haircuts which is why it only gets four stars. The family I care for had their son's hair and the father's cut here. They we asked to get the hair out of the kids face and shape it. The stylist did the opposite, intentionally leaving the bangs down past his nose to be "style/swooped to the side." Not what we asked for!! After being asked to again cut the son's hair out of his eyes and face, he ended up with a terrible 70s bowl cut and weird square bang. The father had a very similar experince. The family is now going to have to pay to go to a different salon, and more importantly find the time to do so. With 3 kids under 4, this is the biggest complaint. Such a waste of time! read more

COVID precautions are really concerning here. A sign on door says masks optional and a client may ask that person providing service wear one, but when I asked it was worn under nose--for entire time I was there. And there was silence when I asked, not a "happy to do that" or "of course". Clients and staff are seated in very close proximity and most are not masked. For someone wishing to take precautions this is not the place to go. I felt disrespected and misled. Exceptionally disappointing. read more

I came here today and donated 12 inches of hair for wigs for kids. They charged $52 for the haircut. The only reason it was $52 and not $62 was because they gave me an additional 10% off because I was a first time customer there. My mother booked the appointment for me. They told her they would cut and style my hair. They angled it in the front to make if "softer". They did not blow dry my hair. I can understand charging that much for a regular haircut but I was in the chair for less than 30 mins. If I was not a new customer, they would have charged $62 FOR A HAIR DONATION!!! I will never go here again to donate my hair let alone to get a haircut for myself. I just want them to follow through with donating my hair. If they had charged me $30, I would have been okay with it. I understand the salon needs to make money especially while we are coming out of a pandemic. But again, this was not a haircut where I had it trimmed and styled etc. I left with a wet head and no personal style with some hair product after I asked for it, so I wouldn't look like a poodle in the humidity. Amber Garcia gave me a full foil yesterday, which I was reluctant about because I don't color my hair often. I am glad she did it because it is BEAUTIFUL! She made me feel so good about my hair and also talked with me about products to keep my hair strong and healthy after coloring it. I had a Cezanne hair smoothing treatment a couple of weeks ago and have to rave about it publicly. Natalie did it and she was GREAT! I have very thick, dry, coarse hair that frizzes out of control (especially in the summer weather). I usually have to blow-dry it straight and then put tons of serum and leave-in products in it to keep it even on the edge of being manageable. So all summer long I have it in a frizzy pony-tail and wear a hat. I have gotten a couple of keratin treatments over the years, and although they are miraculous for taming the frizz, they are so toxic and smelly that I decided I wouldn't do them anymore. Then I heard about the Cezanne (formaldehyde-free, non-smelly), found out that Moodz did them, and decided to go for it. I can't tell you how happy I am. It took about 1.5 hours, no toxic smell. My hair is now smooth and manageable (miraculous), still has all the wave and body without the frizz! I can even let it air dry and it looks great. I don't know how long it will last, but I am enjoying every minute. Thank you Natalie! read more

First and last time at Moodz. The facility itself is beautifully well-kept, however the pricing is outrageous. My review is more towards a specific hair dresser, however. Lisa was the one who colored and cut my hair, and I have never been so disappointed in a hair service before. First off, Lisa was incredibly rude to me the whole time. She would respond with a disrespectful tone, and give me attitude when I would simply ask her questions about my hair. Then, the color itself was not at all what I had asked for (I wanted reddish-brown highlights, but got blondish-brown). And lastly, she got hair dye spots all over my face, and never once came to check on me while the dye was in my hair. Terrible terrible service from her. If the receptionist wasn't so nice, I would've given this place 1 star. read more
