First time here this morning... I don't know what impressed me more, the fact that my nails were perfect or the fun atmosphere! I got there a little before 915 and this place was already busy... I was lucky enough to get my nails done by Rose, as soon as I sat with her (right away) she asked me my name and started chatting with me (not the usual meaningless bs other nail shops spit but an actual meaningful conversation)... As time progressed more and more ladies started trickling in and everyone who walked in was greeted personally by Rose... She knew everyone by name, and joked with them which definitely displayed her 30+ years experience. I literally just got home from this place and i can tell you I'm not happy AT ALL with the service i had. Beginning by the fact that i could not communicate with the lady that was doing my nails because she did not speak a word in English, the whole time i was stress because she would not understand me nor i could understand what she was saying. Pedicure was so-so but again i couldnt even relax on the massage spa chair because it was not to my expectations. I found this place through yelp and even though i found some negative reviews and does not have a LOT of reviews and pictures, i still decided to give a chance. I went here because my usual to go place was fully booked and couldnt take my appointment. Let me tell you, that was a bad decision! My gel manicure is one of the worse i ever gotten in my life, BAD paint color job. The lady did not work on my cuticle and the color job she did looks like i had it done for about a week, left a lot of empty spots and even though i asked her to make sure she got the edges she still didnt do a good job. On the pictures you can see she didnt work the cuticle area right and did such a poor color job. I paid $40 including tip for such a horrible job and couldnt feel more disappointed and very unpleased with the work. I'm definitely NOT coming back neither recommending this place to any of my friends. And i will suggest to whoever the owner of this place is, to make sure they teach at least the basic english (related to nails work) to their employees so its not soooo frustrating for us the costumers to communicate with them. Three words to describe this place: 1- Unprofessional 2-Messy 3-Sloooooow I work around the area and urgently needed a mani/pedi. I called the place to ask how much they charged for what I needed and the girl said $32. Not bad, however, I usually go to a La Belle Nails on 3rd street and even though they aren't a "fancy" salon (neither was this one) they are completely the opposite of this pathetic place. STAY AWAY! I got out of work at 3:30PM and since the place is 5 min away from work I got there at around 3:35. I realized that they don't have any spa massaging chairs and they only have the old school pedi bowls. Ok, no prob, I expect for the service to be decent at least. So a lady, who was probably 70yrs old starts working on my feet. The first thing that threw me off was that she used a NAIL DRILL to take my polish off. Whoa! I don't have gel polish on, why are you doing this? As I'm questioning this action I hear a lady sitting next to me complain about how last time she was there they used the drill and thinned out her toe nail so much that it hurt. I started sweating. Then she proceeds to file and clean my toe nails and I assume she couldn't see well because she kept poking my skin. ANNOYING. Then she puts the polish on and asks me to get up and go to the mani station. Didn't even offer to give me foam flip flops to walk. ANNOYING, again. So I walk over there and she starts my mani. She didn't completely remove the bright polish I had on and leaves the station. I started questioning why/how I ended up there. A younger manicurist starts my gel and as she is doing this she is watching T.V. and not concentrating on her job. Long story short my gel polish is uneven and as she is "Cleaning" it off she rubs off the polish that still needed to be curated in the UV lamp and freaks out. So she has to do it AGAIN. It is 5:30 and I've been at this place for 2 hours. I ask her to look at my polish because it is uneven and it looks tacky. She seems bothered by me and sends me to the bathroom to wash my hands. I come back and she tells me to wait for her. UMMMM? WAIT MORE TIME? I started freaking out. Then I see my pedicure and my polish was not evenly applied either. OMG! What is wrong with these people?! So I ask the "manager" to give me a discount because I have to go and then the younger lady freaks out and says, "well we have to pay the people that helped you." So they tried to fix it. While attempting to do so, the younger lady moves the lamp to see her mistake and hits me. Did she say sorry? Nope. WOW. So I wait for these INCOMPETENT, RUDE, MORONS to fix what they didn't do correctly the first time. Did I get an apology at all, nope! I pay and leave. It is now 6:15. Who's fault was this? MINE! I should have known better not to go to Ghettoland for mani/pedis. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. You get what you pay for! read more

Tried this place a few weeks ago for the first time. It was great. I will definitely be going back. Possibly today to get another manicure. The price was awesome too... $20.00 for a gel manicure and it came out perfect. I've never had another place (more expensive or less expensive) shape my nails as perfectly as they did. On a hunt for a new nail place! I don't know what happened to costumer service here but it has gone down the drain! Be ware you only get great treatment if your they're favorite customer (regular customer $$) I don't come as often as I used to and believe me when I say that I have noticed a great difference in customer service! I specifically made an appt for a Saturday so I wouldn't have to wait. I arrived to my appt 15 mins earlier since I was around the area and Rose had just finished her client so I thought I would be next. Keep in mind I made an appt! Then some regular customer walks in WITHOUT an appt and because they did not want to turn her away or even make her wait they took her before me! So here I was waiting after my apt and ended up seeing someone else so wouldn't wait longer only because Rose decided to see the other girl rather than be responsible and take me with an appt. I also used to get my brows done here till a few months ago. As I said before I used to come regular and I don't anymore. The last time I was here Tam asked me why I hadn't been coming often. I said money is tight and I have to budget myself. Well everything went down hill from there. She started to make comments saying that I should save money else where not on the eyebrows. Then she proceeded by saying that she picks and chooses her customers her customers don't pick her! Well I sure did get a taste of that today! After this treatment I will not be coming back. My nail spa didn't open until 10. So I went through yelp to help me find another spa. I care here on a Saturday around 9:30 there were only 4 techs and they all had a client. The day before coming, I had gotten my nails done in the Bay Area and it was the WORST nail job I had ever seen in my life. My first day in LA, I was nearby Classy Nails and I wanted to get my nails fixed because I really couldn't let anyone see my nails like that in public.. At Classy Nails, I was seated almost immediately after walking in and tended to by an amazing nail artist. She removed the previous job and recreated my nails exactly how I wanted them. I was impressed and extremely happy with the work that was done on my nails. I would definitely recommend this place. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They also have a great relationship with their regular customers. Not to mention.. It was only $33 for the removal, the full set, AND the design on my ring fingers. I'd been coming here for about 8 years, on and off. But, I suppose all things must come to an end. Besides all of that, I've evolved since I first started coming here back in 2006, and so too has my ability to afford better treatment and quality services. Today, I showed up after work and left disgusted. My main disgust came from the fact that the guy charged with doing my gel nails was virtually filing away all that remained of any length to my nails, and when I asked him to cease & desist, given his English is poor, he promptly summonsed over another gal to finish the job he started, as if that's what I asked for. Anyway, that left a bad taste in my mouth, not to mention the waiting. Worse, the job was subpar, to say the least. Not returning here again, not even if I'm in a dire crunch - I'd rather go without and wait until a more classy establishment opens in the morning. I've been coming to this nail shop for over 10 year and never had a problem. The problem was that you were speaking to Dan like he's not a human. I think people like you seem to forget that even though this is there profession they are still human beans. Everyone that knows Dan knows that he is the sweetest person and always tends to his clients in the most respectful way including T. That's way they been running there business for so long. They had already moved you into another chair because you were constantly complaining and having a nasty attitude and still that wasn't enough for you. Every single client in that shop had enough of you and started making comments and that's what made you want to leave. My nails have been consistently nice and I am very particular. If I have a problem the Classy Nail staff are quick to fix it with no hassle.
