Do Not Use Moon Septic Service !!!!! I decided to have my Septic Pumped after 2 years. I called Moon Septic to do the work, I was given a price of 330.00 on a credit card or 300.00 cash. I chose cash, and made an appointment. The tech showed up on time, and opened the tank, he said that it was full, which I think is usually the case. He said that because of all the tank was full he would have to charge an extra 20 to 30 dollars. I said I never heard of that, and have had in emptied many times before. Anyway, he said he got chewed out by the boss for not charging, he charged now. He said he would see how much was pumped. Anyway, he pumped it out, he did mention that there was a coat of grease on the top of the water, and I said I thought that I was careful, but would try to do even better. The receipt just showed the price of 330.00, but did not show the amount pumped. I kept on thinking about the extra charge, because the receipt showed nothing about extra amount pumped, so decided to call the office. I was called back by the guy that is in charge of the fleet. I told him my concern, and at first he sounded ok, then all of a sudden in mid sentence he started to berate me, the customer. I told him the only thing I was looking for was the 30.00 extra charge refunded. He first said he would bring all my sewerage back and refund my money, I said, how could you possible do that, I don't want that. I just want to pay what I was quoted. Then he said that there were non flushable wipes in there and it messed up the truck and they had to clean it for 4 hours. There was no wipes, any used go in the trash weekly, and I saw what was pumped, there were none, and the tech said nothing about them. So then this guy said he would give me the 30.00 and then charge me for cleaning his truck. That is totally bogus. I tried to refute what he was saying and said that I was not letting him talk and did not cooperate and basicly hung up on me. I would never have Moon Septic do any work for me, Do Not Trust any quote they may give, and God forbid that you have an issue. Professionalism does not exist at there operation. The management is rude and very uncooperative. The only interest they have is taking money. Do Not Use Them, Beware. It is an awful company. read more

This company is a life saver. The perfect storm was brewing as it was 9:30 at NIGHT and my in-laws and brother-in- law with his wife were staying at our house as the tub and toilet started to gurgle. The septic tank was full!!! After the quick panic of embarrassment of feeling like a horrible host, I scrambled to call every septic company known to man! After calling 13, yes you read that correctly 13 Different companies, some responses were sorry I can't get someone out till tomorrow, or I'll transfer you and no one answered I FOUND Moon Site and septic. I explained my issue and I was told not to worry that they will have a technician right away. They did! not even a half hour later the technician who had to leave his family was at my house with a smile to come and help me and my emergency. With prompt work and above standards professionalism, my emergency was quickly mitigated. After the job was completed, this family style company even offered suggestions to save me money in the future. It was NOT like your typical company that haggles for more and take every dime you had. This was genuine care and professionalism. I would recommended this company and will recommend this company to everyone I know. If you want service you can trust call them. On Dec 15 2020 we hired this company to perform the 1st septic cleaning and inspection of our new residence. The pump truck did come sure enough it was pumped out. The service man did a quick check and clean the filter before the closing up. He tried sell me new riser and switch upgrade of $2,500-$4,000 but wrote down 'everything appears to be working in good order at this time' in the invoice. When asked for a formal inspection report which was part of the job, he stated it'll be in the mail. The services were paid ($275+$310) in check #1549 right after the works. Far forward 2 weeks after the holidays, I did not receive formal inspection report. I also noticed new puddle of waters forming on top of the sewer tank entrance. This is new we never have this problem before. I was very nervous and inquiring for assistance. I was told it will be a new service call for additional $225. I agreed in writing that I would pay for the additional service cost of $225, once they have the chance to inspect it and determine the problem is not related to their previous job. Now what's absurd is that this company then asked me to pay for the $225 'service call' in advance before coming out. Mind you I just paid them $585 after the service 2 weeks ago in check and it was clear. I am a good paying customer with proven clear record. I questioned the inconsistency of the charging practices and was brushed off as 'being rude' and 'we always do that for that type of service'. I felt I'm being discriminated and mistreated at this point and hung up. My dear reader / home owner, thanks for your patience reading through this long story. Poor service all around. Tech was misleading that ended with over charges and poor job. Manager/Supervisor was also 0 help, didn't listen at all or help to correct the situation. Only defended the Tech. Will never use Moon Septic again and would not recommend to anyone. read more
