I typically avoid writing negative reviews, as it requires effort I'd rather spend elsewhere. However, I feel compelled to share my experience after two disappointing visits regarding the grooming of my Aussiedoodle. During our first visit, Stacey did an excellent job, but unfortunately, after her accident she has not been available when making an appointment. This led us to try other groomers. Initially, I was understanding when my dog was shaved down to less than half an inch, thinking it would be a fresh start and that I could manage his coat better with regular brushing. Fast forward almost 6 months, and after diligently caring for his coat, we felt ready to have him trimmed. He had grown back beautifully and was fluffy, with no mats except for a small area under his ears, which we had specifically discussed needing a trim. I personally dropped him off and had a thorough conversation with the groomer, expressing my desire for a trim to maintain his fluffiness. She assured me that it wouldn't be an issue as he looked "great". To my dismay, when I returned, I found that he had been shaved down to less than half an inch again! I was extremely frustrated, especially after our detailed conversation. They didn't even call me to discuss the decision before proceeding. It was evident that they had not followed my grooming requests, opting instead for the quickest and easiest solution. I cannot recommend this groomer if you wish to keep your doodle's coat fluffy. My dog was not matted, and it's clear that they did not even attempt to follow my instructions. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. read more

Unfortunately, I am not recommending Just for Paws, for several reasons, length of appt time, quality of cut, and bows that had to be cut out of hair. My employer made the appointment more than a week in advance for 10:30 for her 2 dogs, a Labradoodle and German Shepard. She was out of town on business, so i was sitting the Labradoodle. She had the Shepard. We were told by Staci it would take no longer than 3 hours and we would receive a call when they were done. We did not receive a call, finally at 3:10, almost 5 hours later, I called and left a message. My co-worker got the return call letting us know they would be done in another hour. I received a call from Staci at 4:30. She apologize and stated, She got busy. My co-worker was finally able to pick up both dogs after 5 PM. Note.. they open at 8 AM. How many dogs could they have gotten in by that time? She either overbooked or was prioritizing walk-ins, leaving our dogs to wait. They both had cute pumpkin bananas and the labradoodle had 2 cute bows in her hair. I noticed that the cut on the back was uneven when I pet her. A few days after I was attempting to take the bows out and realized, while adorable, they were rubber banded into her long hair. I had to cut them out. I love people who take care of our furry babies but these babies were close to 7 hours waiting, yes 7 hours at the expense of what I can only guess was profit. read more

This is a business who puts integrity and customer service first (along with caring for the animals and high quality service!). I had made an appointment to get my cat groomed and when I brought him in, I was informed that his nails would need to be cut all the way back. This didn't work for him as he is and indoor/outdoor senior cat that has hyperthyroid, so having his nails to defend himself is important. I completely understand why cutting the nails are important for safety of the groomer, but had I known I would have never made the appointment. I declined the service and I called a couple days later to see if I could get a partial refund of my deposit, since there had been a lack of information given to me when I booked and the owner gave me a FULL refund. This was NOT expected and truly appreciated. If I had a dog, I would totally bring them here and if you have a cat that it doesn't matter if their nails get cut back fully, then this is the place for you! read more

Just for Paws always does a wonderful job and my pups smell good for days! My only suggestion is to shorten the appointment times. I always pick the earliest times available 8,8:30 but my pups spend the majority of the day there until after 3 pm. This is a great place to bring your dogs for a fresh groom. The location is pretty nice and convenient. My Yorkie comes out of Just for Paws looking so good everytime! All of the times I have brought my dog here the service is very fast and I like that I don't have to wait all day. The shop is very clean and tidy and that makes me feel good to do business here. The staff is so kind and professional. Every experience here has been a good one. Any time I have taken my dog here the staff will always call 20-30 minutes to let me know my dog is almost finished with her groom service. Love this place and the people. My dog has very bad anxiety and doesn't like strangers and especially to get groomed. I've always had problems with other groomers and they were never able to groom her and they would call me to come pick her up because they couldn't groom her but these groomers are so amazing with her. The first time I brought her, my dog let her pet her right away. They are always able to get the job done and she always looks beautiful afterwards. Great 1st experience here! I have a very old 14 yr. Labor doodle with ol' bones an mobility and was matted in places. Not satisfied with the service. My dog looked pretty much the same as when I dropped her off. Needless to say I have to reschedule another grooming as she was left in the same condition as I left her. My dog was left with a layer of hair inside her eyeballs. I had to wipe them off to get rid of them. How do you not notice that the dog was so much fur clippings in her eyes that she can't even see? We have been with Just for Paws since it was opened. Siya the owner has really been so supportive when it comes to my dogs. I have 2 and they have not been very easy at all. Actually they aren't very good pups when they go to the groomers however, Siya and team continue to allow us to come. Siya takes time to tell us how things went and how we can mitigate the same experience next time. Nothing has worked so far but she and her team continue to try to groom our lil babies. I'm in complete disbelief of the unprofessionalism and lack of customer service from this place. Last week I called and made an appt for my nugget to get groomed. I clearly said..I have a $25 off coupon for NOT just for paws..the girl said no problem and made my appt for 9:30am on Wednesday. (Today)... 2 days later I realized I needed a later time because I had a schedule conflict. I called and spoke to someone else who scheduled me for 12:30pm instead. Never said anything about it being on Thursday at 12:30pm. I would have not been able to do Thursday because I had a flight on Thursday morning. So today I walk into NOT just for paws and I clearly made a mistake thinking they are one company..not knowing they even have a different store. I call them and ask them where they are located and the fact that I went to the wrong place unknowingly. So first of all they tell me there is no appt for me today and that it's for Thursday! Lol Then I explain to her that I realize they are not affiliated with NOT just for paws but when I called and made the appt for 9:30 originally the rep said sure no problem when I clearly stated "I have a coupon for NOT just for paws that I got during Christmas time for $25 off"...why did she not correct me at that time and say no we are just for paws and we don't offer those coupons because until today I had no clue they were two different business's. So the 2nd person I originally spoke to gets in the phone and says ohhhh we don't offer $25 off ever..just $5 and I thought u said $5!! Lol either way I smell B*llsh*t because this was not even the same person I spoke to the first time to begin with and I never brought up the coupon when I changed my appt time. I was pretty upset from the way the whole thing was handled from the first person I spoke to who could care less how upset I was and was being snarky..then the person who apparently made a mistake and made an assumption and marked me down for the wrong day says..well how can I make this right? I said well, her appt was for today as I clearly marked it as we were on the phone and I had to work Thursday and would not have made it for Thursday..so you would squeeze her in today as originally promised and you would honor the $25 that you rep said sure no problem to. She says, that's way too much and I would be washing your dog for free and I can't today..I have to go pick up my kids blah blah blah. First of all, you are a business, it's not my problem what goes on in your personal life and that's not something you share with a customer let alone a first time customer! Second of all, you are overpriced and for what u charge I would have had a mobile groomer come to the house for less (sadly my one groomer had a flood and my mobile didn't have an opening)... so had your rep payed attention and I would have learned you are not affiliated with Not just for paws I would not have even brought my nuggy there. She wouldn't take any responsibility but luckily my amazing sweet groomer is back open so forget this place, go to Mountain View pet boutique. They are down the street from casino drive and very very reasonable! They have amazing reviews and the owner LOVES the animals and treats them so well. My dog gets happy when We go there! Lol and they charge waaaaay less than this place. Plus they have amazing customer service!! This is how u lose business and it was my first time coming there. read more

They cut my dog while giving him his haircut and didn't bother to mention it- I had to discover it myself when it started bleeding that night. The haircut itself was pretty mediocre, and they left his nails ragged. Your money is better spent elsewhere. read more
