Terrible customer service. I waited 2 weeks for an appointment, when I arrived they couldn't find my appointment, even though they required a $30 deposit. Then they started to tell me all the extra charges for matted ears, long fur, things that no other groomers have ever mentioned. I didn't feel comfortable leaving my 5 lb dog with them after they acted like they weren't sure if they could trim her the way I wanted. I have never had these issues with any other groomers. This was his first experience at a grooming salon and he came out so excited to show me his shiny, clean coat and stylish bandana. I have been trying for months to get my pup, Bravo, in for a grooming. I tried doggie salons and mobile groomers. Many didn't even bother to call me back. Everyone else said they were booked for months. Then I talked to Helen. She said she was booked for at least a month. My little guy is a Mini~Schnauzer and was a mess. Matted and really "wooly" fur. Helen told me that she would call me if she had a cancellation. Within days, she called and Bravo and I showed up bright and early. Bravo does have a bit of separation anxiety so I was worried about how he would react. He did great and I have a very happy, well-groomed pup. My fur baby was transformed! He is a giant puppy and loves to get all tangled and muddy. The staff was very sweet and upbeat and also very professional with asking for shot records which makes me feel good about leaving my guy in their hands. We have 2 very difficult rescue chihuahuas... I'm talking about the kind of dogs that scream as though they're going to die if you try to cut their nails. It's bad, so bad our vet has recommended they be mildly sedated for any trips to be seen by them or groomed due to aggression. I called and spoke with Helen who is absolutely wonderful! We talked for awhile about the many issues my girls have and scheduled an appointment. When my husband and I arrived, Helen was so very sweet. They really took their time to cuddle our girls to make them feel safe and calm their anxiety. When my husband picked them a short while later he said that Helen told him that they were so sweet (to my amazement) with them and that they would absolutely welcome them back. As for the grooming, they smell amazing! They got their nails under control and our long haired girl no longer looks like the feral mess she was before. The oatmeal bath for our short haired girl has helped tremendously with her scratching. I'm very grateful for the ladies at Pampered Pooch. You ladies are so compassionate and the absolute best. I brought my dog , a poodle, here to get groomed. As it was my first time I asked to see what the facilities look like. Girl at front desk seemed annoyed and said nobody can go back there. I said I can't look and see where my dog is going to be at? She reluctantly open the door so I can look in. Dogs were in their cages shaking. I asked why are they shaking? She said those are the owners dogs. She also added that dogs hate to get groomed. The groomer I had before was always kind and gentle and my dog liked 2 go there. We took our now deceased dog there and were pleased however, when we got our newest puppy, our views changed. We took Chloe there the first time and didn't have any problems...so we took her back a second time. We had only been home for 5 minutes and they called and told us we had to come and pick her up because she was an aggressive dog. When we got there to pick her up, I asked if I could stay while she is groomed because she is a little afraid at times. He wouldn't allow me to and told me I would have to make another appointment for that. Since then, I've found a woman who grooms out of her home, is patient and will also let me stay. The Pampered Pooch is very cute with regards to their decor, but I don't think they are willing to work with dogs unless they are perfectly behaved. read more

I've been taking both my dogs to Pampered Pooch for over a year. We've always had a great experience. This is until the New Owners took over. I recently took them in for haircuts. When I dropped them off, they seemed really unorganized. About a hour later (after dropping off two mid size Aussie Shepherds) they called me to come pick up the dogs. In the past they would at least take 2-3 hours. When I went to pay I was charged $75 each (in the past I paid $45 & $55). I dropped my dogs off at home and returned back to work. When I got home that night, I noticed my dog was bleeding. She had a cut on her side about the size of a dime. I took her to the vet the next day, sadly she had to get staples and was put on anti biotics. Here's the bigger problem. I understand accidents happen but why didn't they tell me right away? I went into Pampered Pooch to confront the situation and was told my dog was difficult, I then shared with them that i had a voice mail saying "my dogs were great and ready to be picked up".... Her next solution was to grab the groomer "Katie" who did the service and have Katie handle the situation. When I told Katie that Carson had to get staples she laughed at me and rolled her eyes, she denied doing it "of corse." At that point I gave up and decided is it more important for me to share my story with other dogs lover out there so that this does not happen to them. You'd think as a groomer that they would be passionate about animals but not Katie, she thought it was funny. Needless to say I will not be going back. The customer service was far from what it used to be. read more

I brought my 2 dogs here the week of Thanksgiving. By Saturday, my cocker spaniel had kennel cough. I don't take my dogs out of my house except to the vet and to be groomed. I completely get that kennel cough is like the flu, and even when vaccinated, is no guarantee they won't get it. When I told the owner (I thought she would want to let the other owners know about the outbreak) she basically called me a liar, and that my dogs could not come down with symptoms fire 7-10 days.
