If anyone is going to advocate for him, it's me. And thank God I did. When I left my first review, the Medical Director responded saying he couldn't find me in their system. I find that hard to believe since I once paid over $5,000 at this same facility for another pet's hospitalization. There are good, kind people who work here -- I've met them. But readers should know this facility isn't an independent practice. Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is backed by large investment firms, including private-equity and hedge-fund-style investors. That kind of backing often prioritizes profit over pets, which shows in the way care decisions are presented. Please, don't let anyone pressure you into a rushed decision, especially euthanasia. They don't always know best. You do. Sometimes choosing life really is the best choice.
