A wonderful restaurant to have any meal. The meals are fresh and delicious and priced very fairly. In the past 3 days I have eaten 5 meals here and each one a winner. I especially enjoyed their different fish dinners which were baked or broiled. One service team member i had 3 times was Carlos and he was there with a caring smile for all my needs. The food is fresh and excellent. The service could not be better. The prices were very low. I very highly recommend you try and then add the Moon light Dinner to your restaurant list. read more

Brand new diner replacing a recently closed local favorite - saw it had just opened this week and decided to stop in. It advertises 24-hours plus all-day breakfast...yes, please! Nice place. Really clean. Easier to get in and out of the parking lot than I thought it would be. Stopped in for an early lunch after an appointment. The waitress was really friendly. Ordered the black diamond steak and eggs. She came back to tell me they were out of the steak and offered alternatives. I had the marinated chicken and eggs. The food was really good! Arrived for dinner ~7:15pm. 1st time here. Warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in. Given choice of booth or table. Very pleasant waitress. We ordered our dinners, Meatloaf (2 sides), Chicken parmigiana (1 side), and Grilled Cheese (w chips). Also opted for 2 cups of chili. It was all delicious! Really enjoyed! Also got dessert. It's a cozy place. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo which comes with breaded chicken and a side (soup or salad), I wasn't offered either. The chicken was not breaded :/ and the pasta was so god damn unseasoned. The chocolate chip pancakes were delicious in comparison lol. read more

We could not have had a better waitress she was friendly and funny was able to answer all our questions. The food was great. My husband had chocolate cake for dessert he said it was delicious. Had dinner there last hight with wife. I ordered the meatloaf. It had absolutely no flavor what so ever. It was terrible. I ask for gravy. When the waitress bought my meal. I had to ask if that was beef gravy. She said yes. I have NEVER seen beef gravy that color before. It was most a orangest color. read more

Moonlight Diner is owned by person that used to run Walnut Bottom Diner. They have now taken over what was Hickory Ridge on the Harrisburg Pike just past I -81. The place is clean and spacious, ample parking. First thing you notice is how friendly and welcoming the staff are. Always a good sign. You then see a display of some lovely looking cakes. They may be on to something here by offering cakes, donuts, pies and other deserts to go. It is open 24 hours which will be a challenge especially with such a huge menu.I am always fearful of large menus. How can the food be fresh, how can they execute. The menu has all the typical diner foods but there was nothing to distinguish it from any other local diner. There was nothing to say choose us. No diner in the area wants to compete for Guy Fierie's triple DDD show. With a menu so large very little can be really 'homemade" How about for specials to see if they should make the regular menu such as offering 'thick ' bacon. How about offering different types of sausages sage sausage, chicken sausage, Irish bangers etc. etc. Try something different like shakshuka poached eggs. Offer French pressed coffee, it takes 15 seconds to grind coffee beans and pour hot water. Would love to see some belly pork on the menu, lamb chops, chicken livers, real croquette potatoes, a Sunday roast pork loin with crispy crackling, fresh haddock battered in house, not a Sysco, French fries that are not frozen, a duck breast dish. There social media presence seems to be low. Hopefully they will start to post there specials the night before on FB or Next Door so people can see a favorite. One of my favorite places post their special but by the time it gets to my feed breakfast is over and I have already planned something for dinner. There is a lower price smaller portion for seniors which is always appreciated. I ate breakfast; poached eggs, corn beef hash, toast and potatoes, asked for crispy but they were not. Nothing bad but nothing to write home about. I need to go back and try dinner or lunch. I like the idea of roast turkey but then worried it will come with 'yellow' gravy and no flavor stuffing , or meat loaf that does not have a packet brown gravy, liver & onions cooked with bacon for flavor. I would love to give then a 4 star or even a 5 and a call to Guy Fierie. read more

We stopped here on a Saturday night. It was busy, but not overly, and we walked right in and got a table. They have an extensive menu, so of course you know you won't be getting a lot of fresh food. They serve breakfast all day, and I enjoy having breakfast for dinner. I ordered two eggs scrambled, bacon, hash browns, and toast. The eggs were superb. Moist, not dry. The hash browns weren't uniformly brown, just half of them brown and the other half white. They forgot my bacon, but did deliver it quickly. It was crunchy, the way I like it. The toast was good with a good amount of butter on it. My mom got the fried flounder (senior citizen meal) and was presented with a large piece of golden fried flounder. It looked good-flaky and moist, and mom said it was very good. She also had the cole slaw which she said was tasty, also. My fiancé got the fish and chips and was very disappointed. The fish was frozen, not fresh, and he said it was greasy as were his fries. (We read that the food was homemade and this obviously wasn't.) The place is clean with a no-frills basic interior. We have been to Moonlight Diner many times since they opened. The food is excellent, as are the prices. Service can't be beat. We had a luncheon for 10 today, and everything went without a hitch. Decor is lovely. Not a "diner-y" feeling at all. Highly recommend the restaurant. read more

Putting a cold pickle on a hot plate is disgusting. Pickles need to be served cold or not at all. The tomatoes on my sandwich were not ripe - should have been left off. On a positive note, my 15 year old grandson was happy with his meal. read more
