    Two weiners with the works
    Mark D.

Went to Moonlight for the first time during mid-afternoon on a Saturday. There was nobody there and the service was friendly. The interior is quirky and unique. I ordered 2 weiners with the works. The meat sauce was excellent although I would have liked a bit more. Onions and mustard were also tasty additions. I didn't think the weiners were anything special, similar to a typical hotdog. They were also luke warm. Nevertheless I did enjoy my meal but not sure I would return anytime soon.

Loved this place! First time eating there today. Weiners were amazing and the lady working was super attentive and nice. Onion rings not pictured- but those were amazing as well ;)

    What are those!!!!!!

Very good weiner and ice cold coffee milk. Never gotten anything else, but no reason to. I'm in it for the hot weiners!

Missy's came up as being affordable, with good reviews and pictures, and it was open. You cannot miss the building since it is a bright highlight blue color. There is a well-sized parking lot. When we arrived, there were a couple of people there, but we were still seated at the booth by the window that we were eyeing. Our waitress gave us some menus, and immediately, I was drawn to the plate with home fries, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, and French toast (or pancakes). It was only about $11 and brings a little bit of everything. After about 10-15 minutes, our food was brought out. I was a bit underwhelmed by the French toast. It looked like regular toast, so I thought they maybe misunderstood that I wanted grilled English muffin for my bread. But turns out, their French toast does not have as much batter as l am used to. I do like that it is sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon, but it is a but dry - the syrup makes it better. I requested my eggs scrambled and with cheese and the cheese was perfectly melted. The bacon was crispy, with the right thickness. I had read that their sausages are good, and indeed they are - juicy, a tad spicy, and flavorful. The English muffin was crispy and buttery. The potatoes were soft and tasty. The back of the paper placemats have puzzles and activities, which we only realized before leaving. The inside made us feel like we were at someone's home, so it made us feel more comfortable.

When trying out a new restaurant, we have little to no expectations but we go with an empty stomach & open mind. I had to look up Manville in Google maps - it's half way between Cumberland & Woonsocket. The restaurant is an unassuming storefront on a mostly residential street. We walked in & were greeted warmly. The restaurant was hopping on a late Saturday morning, so we took the two open seats at the counter. Your Mother's Favorite is truly a family affair. Dad is in the kitchen with an uncle & a son, mom is running the front of house with another son & some other relatives. We learned that this restaurant is an offshoot of their Sunnyside on the Street food truck. They offered any 1/2 lb brisket/chuck blend burger on a brioche bun for the RI Food Fights coupons. Upon recommendation of the son who was serving us at the counter, I went with their best seller: The Mother In Law - caramelized onions, Gruyere cheese, house made sauce. It was SOOOO good! The burger was perfectly cooked with a ton of delicious caramelized onions & ooey gooey melted cheese holding it all together. Hubby opted for The Hot Mom - pepper jack cheese, red onion & house-made mango habanero sauce. He will order anything that will give his taste buds a kick... & this definitely kicked! For me, the sauce was too hot. For hubby, it was definitely HOT but he couldn't get enough! I've never seen a man eat a burger that fast! LOL Hubby was so excited about the mango habanero sauce that the dad/owner came out of the kitchen to discuss creating it. He also provided us with a small container to bring home to enjoy & shared the recipe. I was in the mood for something a little sweet & ordered one slice of the French toast. It was delicious. They also do a deep fried French toast which is something I will order the next time. We got into a nice conversation with the table next to the counter. The couple were fans of the family's original food truck & are repeat customers of Your Mother's Favorite. They were also fans of RI Food Fights - especially the January #LordOfTheWings. We concur! We ogled the other delicious breakfast dishes being delivered to customers. Hubby wants to try both the Huevos Rancheros & the Biscuits with Gravy. Their pancakes are supposed to be out of this world but I will be hard pressed not to order The Mother In Law again! Even though it was very busy, the family made time to chat with us & answer questions about the restaurant & menu. We loved everything about Your Mother's Favorite & can't wait for a return visit! The cookie dough ice-cream could have had more cookie dough in it, but other than that, it tasted pretty good. They have a massive car show every Tuesday (weather permitting). Snag a scoop and stroll about admiring cars from times gone by. They also have an indoor sitting area (small). It's also worth mentioning that they offer sweet treats like cookies and brownies. There is also a cafe. So much, so wonderful! Grazie Mille!!

I also want to thank her daughter who's the waiter there for recommending the corned beef hash and the blueberry pancakes that were absolutely delicious. The food was made with so much love and the coffee was freshly brewed. Everything was made to order as a diner should be and it was super quick and did I mention the price? We are in 2026 and we got hungryman breakfast that came with eggs, bacon, home fries and pancakes. We also got plain crepes, a coffee, orange juice, a side of ham, and a side of corned beef hash for all under 41 bucks. I am so happy we decided to give this place a try today as we've lived here for about 3 months and always walk by it and I've always said I wanted to try it. Finally. We did and I think we're going to be the weekend regulars from now on. And if this next phrase doesn't convince you to try this place, I don't know what will. THEY TAKE CRISPY EDGES INTO CONSIDERATION FOR PANCAKES. You know what I'm talking about ‍ This is definitely a cute date place or even if you just want to take your friends out to eat or trying to impress your parents on a good diner this is the place. You can tell they are very good even before you get the food as there are locals who show up there and it's all about laughter and good times inside. You got the old school bar stools where people can eat breakfast at the bar. You have the booths and you have some tables by the front door that are cozy. The whole place is just a great vibe matches the great food! So let's cut to the chase here about the food! I ordered the hungry man special as I mentioned above. Eggs, bacon, home fries and blueberry pancakes. I rate my whole plate and 11 out of 10. It was absolutely delicious. I also ordered a side of ham that was the star of the show for me. And it made it taste even better when the waiter told me they cut it straight off the bone. I've never had ham straight off the bone so that was pretty cool haha my coffee was actually really good. Also. I'm not sure what kind they brew but it must be straight from the coffee bean trees because my goodness that was delicious. My wife ordered plain crepes and an order of corned beef hash. Originally she only ordered the plain crepes but then we were told that the corned beef hash was homemade and we were like, we definitely have to try this! So we ordered it but I forgot to take a picture but let me just say she was very happy eating them. The plain crepes were exactly what she wanted as she felt like pancakes would be too heavy for her early in the morning. She said it was sweet and delicious. Also said the corned beef hash was one of the best ones she's ever had. Overall I feel like I could just keep going on about how amazing this place is and how I wish it was the next day already so I could show up and eat breakfast again hahaha thank you guys so much for the great breakfast and hospitality! We will definitely be back! -Kass & Wawa
