This restaurant provides a diverse menu, friendly servers and wonderful talent on most Saturday nights - Terry Sanger, saxophonist and singer. My friends and I are often there on Saturday nights. The fish and chips are indescribable - several large pieces of fish in a deliciously light beer batter. Their sweet potato fries are delicious. I order them somewhat well done. They are presented lightly browned, and the portions are plentiful. Another favorite is the Chef Rice Bowl. To best describe it - a bowl of Chinese fried rice with chicken and your choice of fried egg on top or scrambled egg mixed in. I invariably have at least half of it to take home. Warning to anyone with Celiac Disease or a serious gluten allergy. My family loves this restaurant, but unfortunately, I cannot recommend it for anyone who must eat strictly gluten-free. Do not assume that a menu item labeled gluten-free is actually safe. The waitstaff has generally been understanding, but the kitchen has repeatedly made serious mistakes--sending a gluten-free meal with gluten-containing bread, or a salad with croutons. These are not minor mistakes for someone with Celiac Disease; I will get sick. We have given this restaurant four chances, and all four times I ended up sitting at the table without food while my family ate. I do want to recognize the manager, who has been humble, professional, and has taken responsibility for the mistakes. That is genuinely appreciated. My dining companion and I enjoyed a delicious dinner and excellent entertainment on the patio at Towne Tavern this evening. There was a short wait for an outside table so we started our evening with a glass of wine at the bar. Although we were remaining outside, I was a bit surprised that we were asked to settle our bar tab before moving the few feet to our table. Once seated, service was fast and friendly. We started with the absolutely delicious burrata board, which consisted of 4 slices of grilled flatbread, burrata topped with basil pesto, pistachios and fig balsamic, tomato jam and 4 slices of prosciutto. Next, we tried the Korean Sticky Ribs, baby back ribs with Korean BBQ Sauce, pickled Fresno chiles, toasted sesame seeds, scallions, shaved red cabbage and grilled lime. This was also tasty, with a bit of a bite to it. For dessert we shared the Limoncello Mascarpone Cake, the perfect sweet ending to the meal. I ordered takeout for thru Toast. I ordered a kids cheeseburger and buttered corn. When I selected the cheeseburger it charged me $1 for cheese. When I got home the cheeseburger was plain no ketchup or anything. I assumed ketchup was a given Also the corn looked like it was burnt. My wife and I stopped in for an early dinner at Towne Tavern for the first time, and we were really impressed. I ordered the steak tips -- very flavorful and tender, just a touch overcooked, but still absolutely enjoyable. I asked to swap the asparagus for string beans, and they made the change without any issue, which I appreciated. My wife had the mustard maple syrup-glazed salmon, and it was excellent -- perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, and the staff were on their A game -- attentive, friendly, and professional. Prices were very fair for the quality and portions we received. We'll definitely be back! I only wish they'd add a breakfast menu -- the setup of the restaurant would be perfect for it. They do serve brunch, though, which is a nice touch. Tonight was our 3rd time in a row receiving terrible service. Our waiter was not friendly. He served us draft beers on a very hot night, in sweaty glasses, without cocktail napkins, leaving massive puddles all over the table. We arrived at 8:30 when a lot of people were leaving, so it was no longer busy, however our 2 appetizers took about 40 minutes to come out...with no explanation as to why it took so long. Then the apps were just dropped at the table by a runner, or other server, without plates. Our waiter never checked on us to make sure the food was ok. Let's face it, people come here for the location, as there's not a ton of other options in town. I waitressed for several years and my husband's family had restaurants so we get it and always give a lot of grace and always tip at least 20-30%, but tonight was our breaking point. Went for dinner on 4/11/25. Very crowded at 6 pm and waited about 35 minutes for a table. There were six of us in total. The restaurant is an open concept with live music at dinner. Very loud for holding a personal conversation. Steak tips , French Dip , mushroom burger and a chicken bowl were ordered. Our server was very inattentive and never checked back to see how our meal. It was piss poor service. Steaktips arrived cold. They were chewy and served colder than the temperature in my mouth. Server was in attentive and probably left them sitting around as a table of six is a lot of effort. French dip was served overdone and dryed out. One person said it was cold. Probably left sitting around and was ready a long time ago. Mushroom burger and chicken bowl looked greasy. No comments good or bad shared. So it probably wasn't anything spectacular. Pepsi cups wreaks of bleach smell. They are not properly sanitized. It's a lousy restaurant and a lot of people think it's really good. So that's our experience with a table of six. This was my first time here and overall it was really good! The lemon blueberry drop martini was delicious! The flatbread, avocado, and burrata board were all so good! They have this chicken Milanese salad that tastes absolutely wonderful as well. I was skeptical that they had a menu for sushi but they absolutely did not disappoint. Shane our waiter was absolutely amazing and I believe the owner or manager came by and cleared our plates. I'm pretty sure we stayed until closing but we did not feel Rudy. This town is so barren of good restaurants that people review places while in a trance, desperately clinging to the illusion that something--anything--might taste decent. At this point, we might as well be on Mars because the food options here are just as lifeless. And somehow, in a town already cursed with some of the most forgettable, uninspired food in the country, Towne Tavern & Tap manages to be the absolute worst of the worst. The food is bland at best, outright offensive at worst, and no amount of decent atmosphere or drink specials can make up for the fact that every bite reminds you of how low the bar has been set. It's one thing to be disappointing in a city with great restaurants--but to be this bad in North Attleboro, where even mediocre food would be considered a gift? That's an achievement in itself. If you're thinking of eating here, save yourself the trouble and grab something out of your freezer instead--it'll probably taste better. read more

I wanted to love this place. Close to home, modern, has a bar but a restaurant as well so family friendly. First off- pricey. The fried rice is $19! Does it come with specs of gold? I don't understand. (and I did so locally sourced goods but jeez!) My family shared a bacon chicken ranch pizza. Small size. Needed more ranch. My daughter and I split the chicken panini. This lacked flavor like I cannot tell you. I was so disappointed. The fries, they were good but I got the bottom of the fryolator on my plate. When the waitress handed me my plate, I immediately grabbed a hold with my other hand and held up my completely greased up hand from the bottom of the plate and made a face. On the advice of a couple we met at a local brewery we stopped in to give this place a try. Man are we happy we did. We were sat right away and the place was deceiving large inside. A nice bar area, that had a local singer. He was very good and engaging. Our waiter was very courteous and attentive. They have a great selection of local brews, as well as the normal go to's. They have a menu that offers a huge selection of different foods. We started with the loaded nachos with chili. Despite it being huge, we ate every last piece. We then decided to go with the pizzas. We would give 5 stars except for two reasons: We both ordered the prime rib but it was not served with au jus. We've had prime rib at probably 30 restaurants over 40 years and we've never had it served without au jus. The prime rib was supposed to come with charred asparagus but the asparagus seemed like they were boiled. They were never near a flame. Not a huge deal but if you're going to list them as "charred" on the menu, then it would be best to serve them that way. I have a gluten allergy and I am afraid to try new places. Will I get sick? Will the waitstaff take my health seriously? Does the kitchen understand gluten contamination? The list goes on and on. This evening my husband and I stopped by for a bite. Waitress was very accommodating when I brought up my allergy. No judgement. They advised the chefs are gluten free certified trained, that's a huge relief because it tells me that even if the waitstaff isn't 100% sure, the kitchen knows. I got a bun-less burger with asparagus on the side. It was so delicious! It's been hours since my meal and I feel fine. They don't promote GF items on the menu, aside from the cauliflower pizza, so just ask. I was very impressed with all the attention we got from our waitress and hostess. New old place! Used to be Barrett's Ale House. We decided to give it a try. All remodeled inside and looks great! Way brighter inside and the new bar area is fantastic. We ate outside on the patio, and it was great. The only thing I will say is the patio chairs are super comfortable to sit back and relax with, but to sit up and eat your food, you tens to slide back which wasn't the best. We started with the Street corn, stuffed avocado and the jumbo wings. Street corn and the stuffed avocado were terrific. The jumbo wings had great flavor, but the I'm not a fan of the whole wing "flapper" My wife got the Lettuce wraps and she really liked them. I ordered the fish tacos and tater tots. Following one of my food rules, if they have tots, you order the tots. Tacos had good flavor and the tots were crispy and there was a ton of them. This place is great! Conveniently located just off of 95, it's a great place to stop off on my way home. Menu has lots of different, which made it hard to choose.
