My dining companion and I enjoyed a delicious dinner and excellent entertainment on the patio at Towne Tavern this evening. There was a short wait for an outside table so we started our evening with a glass of wine at the bar. Although we were remaining outside, I was a bit surprised that we were asked to settle our bar tab before moving the few feet to our table. Once seated, service was fast and friendly. We started with the absolutely delicious burrata board, which consisted of 4 slices of grilled flatbread, burrata topped with basil pesto, pistachios and fig balsamic, tomato jam and 4 slices of prosciutto. Next, we tried the Korean Sticky Ribs, baby back ribs with Korean BBQ Sauce, pickled Fresno chiles, toasted sesame seeds, scallions, shaved red cabbage and grilled lime. This was also tasty, with a bit of a bite to it. For dessert we shared the Limoncello Mascarpone Cake, the perfect sweet ending to the meal. While we were there, we very much enjoyed the entertainment, singer Jack Cappadona. We found the prices very reasonable for the quality of the food.

Good spot to hang out, watch a game, and good food. The one man band was a bit loud for the size of the space, but still a good time. I had the fish tacos with brussel sprouts which were both good. Nice selection of beers on tap.

Came here for dinner on a Friday night. Restaurant was packed but we were able to get a booth in the back area. Food and drinks were good. We got a couple of beers, truffle tots, steak tips and short rib & mash. They have a good selection of draft beers here. Short rib was tender and flavorful, the apparatus that came with the dish was a bit overcooked.

This was a last min fine but happy we did. The food was amazing. Chicken wings so good no dipping sauce needed. The pastrami sandwich amazing. Pizza was average but good. The flights were amazing. The service was great and the place was happening with the pats game on the big screens. Will be returning.

Good Spot We went in on a Thursday night at 7...place was packed! They have a decent menu for beer, food, and drinks. I ordered off of the specials menu...poutine burger with fries. Excellent! The gravy was so good, I wish they put extra on the plate for the fries...$17.00The chicken pot pie came out super hot and was a large portion. It would prefer the chicken to be chunky as opposed to shredded. There was a ton of shredded chicken in there, but I wasn't feeling the texture of it. Overall, great place, good food, good drinks! Tip: Blackened Chicken Tacos Thanks

Bar style pizza. Loud inside. Friendly people but a very meh pizza. Don't know how they managed it but part of each slice was over cooked and under cooked.

The ambiance was pub style and had some live music. Our waiter, Chris, was awesome. The cocktail choices were fun. All of the food was super tasty.

The burgers are completely tasteless -- no seasoning, no flavor, no reason to ever order one again. The milkshakes, which should be a guaranteed win at a burger joint, are bland and forgettable, like they were made with zero care. It somehow gets worse. The sandwiches are tough and unpleasant, the kind you chew forever wondering how something so basic went so wrong. The fries are absolutely brutal: wilted, soggy, limp, and sad. Nothing comes out hot, fresh, or remotely appetizing. And then there's the pricing, which is borderline insulting. $79 for a cup of chili, a child's wilted burger and fries, a chicken Caesar wrap and fries, a chicken parm sandwich, and two mediocre shakes. Seventy-nine dollars. For food this bad. I genuinely don't know why I kept giving this place chances, but I'm officially done. KC's Classic Burger Bar is overpriced, flavorless, and consistently disappointing. Save your money and your appetite.

Deep red walls, wide-plank floors, framed portraits of people long gone, a fireplace; this place has the kind of character you simply can't manufacture. Add a live jazz duo playing piano and upright bass in the corner and the atmosphere is close to perfect. We settled in at the bar, which has a decent whiskey selection, and started with cocktails. We also shared the kale and butternut squash salad; we asked them to add a goat cheese medallion from their spinach salad, and honestly it was the right call. That bright, creamy note was exactly what the salad needed...or maybe what I needed. I do love fried goat cheese on a salad. Either way, it was perfect. Then came the cranberry rolls, which were the quiet star of the afternoon; crunchy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside. Don't skip these. For mains, I had the breakfast skillet, which is essentially everything but the kitchen sink loaded into a cast iron pan. Heavily loaded with meat (Arby's would be jealous), homefried potatoes with satisfying crusty bits, a couple over medium eggs, and served sizzling hot. The cheese sauce draped over the top was lighter than you'd expect, landing somewhere between a béarnaise and a classic cheese sauce; it kept the whole thing from getting too heavy. It took a while to work through, and that's not a complaint. My partner had the butternut squash and brown butter sage ravioli. It was well-cooked, flavorful, not too rich, though a little more sage would have put it over the top. The bartender had a good sense of humor and clearly knew his way around the bar. The problem was that he was doing too much; he appeared to be his own bar back, serving the six people at the bar, waiting on the tables within the lounge area, and it appeared he was covering other tables outside of the lounge area as well. He was often away, and with salad plates, appetizer plates, and menus sitting in front of us long after they were needed, the clutter added up. Pre-bussing costs nothing and makes a real difference. Tighten up the staffing model and this place is a very easy five. If you're in the area, you should stop in and check it out for yourself. I'm not sure if the jazz duo on Sunday brunch is a regular occurrence, but if it is, you should definitely make a point of it. They were wrapping up around 2:30-3:00 and it made the whole afternoon feel like something a little more special than just brunch.

Decor wise, there's not much to write home about. Outdated with lots of wood but, hey, it's a pub. Which is why I didn't expect fancy restaurant prices. The evening started out fine. Our friendly young server brought us a basket of warm Irish soda bread with real Irish butter, which was delicious. Our water was served in cute logo glasses. Strangely enough, the beverage menu listed wine prices but not cocktail prices. And we wanted Margaritas, which weren't listed. When we asked our server, she immediately said they didn't offer them. Since they have a full bar, we asked why. I honestly don't think she knew what a Margarita was. She said she'd ask the bartender & came back to tell us they could make them. We asked the price. Again, she had to find out... $12. We agreed, but when she returned with two drinks in Old Fashioned glasses, I refused mine. The drink was literally 4 sips! My dining companion kept hers & said it was nicely made but not worth the price. I ordered a ginger ale instead ($3). We both ordered fish & chips ($21) and, again, were disappointed with what we received for the price. The chips appeared to be hand cut & were tasty, but the small, thin fish fillets were breaded in what I believe was cornmeal. Edible but certainly not what you'd expect from an Irish pub. Where's the beer batter? Neither of us liked the tiny cup of coleslaw. Afterwards, we asked for a dessert menu. Again, no prices. There were three desserts & several coffee drinks listed. We opted for Irish coffees ($13) and were pleased with the coffee, whiskey, brown sugar and fresh whipped cream concoctions. With tax & tip, the total bill came to $105.76, way too much for this kind of place. And, they ended up charging us $13 for that mini-Margarita. Whatever. We won't be back.
