Non pork breakfast proteins are always greatly appreciated so that was the first thing I jumped for... Pulled up and realized it was a strip mall and low key thought, "Oh No" but once you walk in, its def not a strip mall vibe, this place is cute, super modern and just really welcoming. It was a weekday and the place was not that busy (I even asked, I imagine it gets BUSY on the weekends and the waitress agreed, it def does)! Our server was great, gave us some ideas, suggested the cinnamon roll - OMG TRY IT!!! Noticed on the menu it states if you want your omelet folded to ask, so I had to figure out what other option there was and Im glad we went with their traditional, its more like a frittata, but it was GOOD!!! Got the hashbrowns and they ask if you want onions and when they came I was like HOLY SHYT thats alot of onions, but it worked, they were literally some of the best Id had. The hash was good, the Chicken Sausage was great. Didnt have drinks on this trip, but will def come back to try all things coffee & Mimosas... I'm a huge breakfast person, and was excited to try this place out, but was a bit disappointed. They serve 2 types of drip coffee, which we tried hot and iced -- both were low quality and terrible tasting. At a diner I wouldn't be surprised by this, but given that the name of the restaurant is coffee & cream, we were hoping for something higher quality. The Eggs Benedict and omelette weren't bad, but both standard at best. With this being said, they have the BEST cinnamon bun I've ever eaten for $3.99. Come here for the cinnamon bun!!!!!! read more

Great local establishment that I've been dining at since I was a teen and they were located on the other side of town. Back in the day it used to be a great spot for late night eats after the clubs let out :) Food is always quality, the specials are always creative and the service is always on point. The inside is so much more elegant than their previous location that it's easy to forget that it's basically a diner and not a bistro/cafe. My favorite big breakfast here is the new englander. To me there isn't a better value for the amount of food anywhere else to be found. I usually upgrade the pancakes to blueberry without an issue. Had the stuffed French toast the last time I was in and it was really tasty. Coffee is typical for a diner so if you're looking for the fancy stuff you should probably grab it on your way to or from here. read more

Read about this place while doing a Google search for brunch places. I was attracted to the story of the place and the pictures of the food on the website (yes, I am a sucker), that I made the 35-minute drive on a weekend. No reservations, but the wait time of about 10-12 minutes was not that bad. We were seated in an elevated section. Service was a bit slow and the server didn't seem to enjoy us being there. I was a bit disappointed because I brought two guests over with my husband and I-- excited over trying this place out. Our order included Raspberry Jelly Donut French toast, Irish Benedict, and a special egg burrito. I was delighted that the French toast was worth the try. This place is not bad and I can see why people are curious to try apart from those who appeared to be neighborhood regulars. I would not marvel over it, though. Looking for a Breakfast/Brunch spot that is somewhere other than Providence? Came upon Coffee & Cream one Sunday after looking at some Yelp pictures. Only had to wait about 10-15 minutes before being sat, however, we could have been sat earlier if we wanted to eat at the bar/counter. It was pretty busy which is always a good sign. I was really hungry so I ordered the Raspberry Brioche Jelly Donut French Toast and the Make Your Own Omelette with broccoli and cheddar. I felt like the egg tasted a little dirty. I don't know if I'm weird and maybe I can taste the earthy quality of some eggs but I tried to mask it with hot sauce and ketchup and make a sandwich with the bread. Overall, I wasn't crazy about it. The home fries were okay- more liked seasoned potatoes than fried potatoes. The brioche, recommended by our server, was too sweet for me, which is more on me because there are big dollops of jelly filling on top. I don't feel that it was worth $10. I wanted to try something that was different but wished I had just ordered a single French toast or pancake with fresh strawberries instead (this is not on the menu, but available to order a la carte per our server). Overall, the service was good but I didn't think the food was that great for the price. Probably won't be back but a good option if you're really hungry and in the area. Great food! I order pretty regularly but I'm sick and tired of paying extra for items to not be included. If you order something like pancakes they'll charge extra for syrup, no big deal it's only .50¢ but what gets me is they consistently don't include it. Amazing breakfast choice! I ordered the Irish Benedict and my partner got the special: Oreo cheesecake French toast. Wowee wow. The French toast was topped with a fried Oreo, which was a great touch. I asked for my home fries well done, and they were perfect. The Benedict is on some perfect Italian bread instead of an English muffin. Another great touch. Service was beyond friendly and attentive, from the smiling host to the very professional server. The location is adorable inside and very clean. This was my first time coming here but I had read really good reviews. It look me a second to spot the place since it's in a plaza but that made parking very accessible and plenty. I was impressed by how nice the inside looks. First, it's very clean, the decorations are neutral colored and very home-like environment, and the place is massive with two dining areas. Our waitress took very good care of us. As we were being escorted to our seats, I took a glance at someone dish and committed myself to ordering it because it looked really good. It was the Italian omelet with veggies and cheese inside and topped with pepperoni. The flavor was really good, especially when the bite had lots of cheese. I wish it was consistently cheesy throughout. If you're a cheese lover like me, I would recommend asking for extra cheese (I'll do that next time I come). One other thing is I wish it had more pepperoni, either inside or on the top. Typically I'm a fan of the home fries that resemble the texture of fast food French fries but in cube form. These home fries are the more natural ones but they were delicious. They were well seasoned and had some herbs on it. I asked for grilled English muffin as my bread and it was pretty good. It was toasted perfectly and just the right amount of buttery. I tried some of their pancakes and they were fluffy and buttery. Next time I would want to look at the menu in depth because they really do have really good options and offer various dishes with sweet and savory mixes. The prices are really good for the quality and quantity of the food. I will most definitely be coming back for more. read more

As a huge eggs Benedict fan, my only complaint would be that the eggs weren't runny, so I wouldn't consider them poached- almost had a hard boiled type of center to them. I repeat you must stop here for the Barrel Benedict! Especially the barrel taters! The taters are stuffed with bacon and chives covered with the delicious hollandaise sauce! It's worth a stop if you are in the North Smithfield area! The place looks small on the outside, but it is a deep building. Dozens of tables, and very spacious! This place is full of personality for sure. A lot of the items are below $10, making for an inexpensive meal. And the menu is very creative! We were recommended the Cinnamon Bun French Toast, and so glad that we were! It's a split bun dipped in french toast batter and griddle fried to perfection! Such warm cinnamon flavors served crisp, with plenty of butter and maple syrup. Was really disappointed about the experience here: * Silverware wasn't on the table (not a big gripe but whatever) * Bloody Mary was overly expensive for the quality (basic mix with a couple olives and a huge celery stick for $10). * Asked for some food to go for our kids at home: ** Everything came out at once (including the to-go food) and half the food wasn't to go but just brought out on plates. ** We also asked for a customization which we were charged for but wasn't actually substituted and didn't realize till we got home since it was the only thing that was brought to us "to go" On top of all that, the food was REALLY cold, like it was sitting out for a while. I wouldn't have minded paying up all that money for just breakfast, but when it comes out cold and the order isn't right, it's enough for me to not go back. Should be 2.5 stars. I'll start with I've been here multiple times and the food & service are great. When I'm with family and seated at a table there are no issues, my issue is the bar/counter. The past few times I've been here the bar is always in disarray, dirty plates from previous customers are left unattended for excessive amounts of time but my real complaint is I can not count the number of times I've had a server attempt to place my coffee and utensils on a unwiped area, most times sticky and messy enough where they should notice. The food can be fabulous but eating at someone else's dirty spot ruins the whole experience. I'm hoping the owners take criticism and use this review to address the issue as they have a great location, food and staff. read more

Coffee and Cream is a hidden gem nestled within a weird little strip mall. I've lived in the area for the past few years and never, until recently, visited. Not only is the food amazing, but the staff are some of the most pleasant and friendly people I've ever crossed paths with. I can not recommend this place more highly. This was my second time visiting and breakfast was fantastic. There was a waiting list to be seated, however I opted to sit at the large breakfast counter and was sat right away. To start the young man behind the counter was friendly, in-fact the other two wait staff were all so friendly as well. I started with a grilled blueberry muffin homemade ( their muffins change daily) and my muffin was delivered with a pad of butter on top, just perfect as this allowed the butter to soften. Next I ordered the CC house omelette- which was delicious- I like that they prepare their omelettes in a pan verses a flat top grill including the fillings -this makes all the difference in a fluff omelette vs a flat omelette -the home fries were also very tasty. My guest ordered the #12 (popular) eggs over medium with homemade corned beef hash which I was told was excellent as well. Coffee was good. You can't get much better than this place. 5 stars all around! We were visiting from out of town and found this gem on Yelp. So glad we came here! We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server was quick to welcome us and helped us narrow down our order by making recommendations on some house favorites! We ended up getting two #7's (2 eggs, toast and homefries) French toast with bananas and freshly baked cinnamon rolls. The #7 was cooked as expected with the homefries lightly seasoned. The French toast was absolutely perfect and not one single drop of maple syrup was used! The cinnamon roll...omg do yourself a favor and get the cinnamon roll grilled with butter and icing We also noticed they made muffins in house so got a few to go. The coffee cake was our favorite but they were all good! The food, staff and atmosphere were all fantastic. Will definitely be back! read more

Disappointing. Our waitress was great but doing a million things. The 4 other girls working there seemed more interested in chatting around the coffee machine than actually doing anything. My english muffin was badly burned, and they tried scraping off the burn and serving it to me. It was so cold the butter would not melt... it was like two hockey pucks. French toast was cold as well. My wife's meal of scrambled eggs was also cold. You know I don't mind waiting a long time to get our food, but then when the food is not edible it just ruins breakfast. Also paid $3 for bottomless coffee and was never offered refills. Will not be back read more
