I love this place, but when I last went, I tried to go to the women's restroom and a guy with a baseball cap went in right in front of me when I tried to go in and stayed in there for a long time and started getting violent when I said I needed to use it and tried to say he was the owner. Whether or not he actually was the owner, that's extremely rude, completely unacceptable, and he should be ashamed to do that to a paying customer. We only had 1 round for 4 people + 2 waters we got charged 4 extra drinks on the receipts && then when the charge came in up on my bank information they charged me even more ... 88.50 + 22 = $110.50 yet on my card the charge came out to $136.50 !!! What type of math are they doing ? The owner Jose Garcia was extremely rude. Wasted our time && had us wait for a server who continued to lie. The owner swore he saw us on the camera drinking two rounds but when we asked for the footage they were looking at on their phone (in front of us) they could not turn the screen around to show us the proof! Ive been drinking at this bar at least twice a week for 4 months now it's my new go to bar for after work and for Sundays . Most people are friendly and they have nice all female bartenders. Also the owner is really nice and last time I was there some guy came in drunk and bought everyone a round . Good times. read more

The moonlight tavern was great, cool bartenders, touch tunes, & decent craft/domestic beers on tap. They also make micheladas here so in those hangover days your good. The men's restroom is a little Awkward being there's not luck but it's ok. Slim style bar with pool table. When it gets packed it's packed but luckily the bartenders are very attentive so it's all good. If you're hungry luckily a 5 minute walk is "pepe's or tacos de Mexico" down the street or if it's day time there's a Korean and chinese restaurant next door so your fed. read more

However, there are very few bars that are as fun as the Moonlight Tavern. This is a clean version of an old fashion dive bar. It was spotless and comfortable. The TV's were clear and in view from any seat. The jukebox had a great selection and wasn't mind numbing loud. The beer was cold crisp and priced quite affordably. The staff was charming, helpful and lovely. Kristin, even though she was wearing sc colors, was incredibly courteous, quick and knowledgeable. She is also very easy on the eyes (despite wearing sc colors) She attended to our large party effortlessly. As for some of the negative posts about this neighborhood bar: they don't need your business and you can go to whatever vanilla white toast generic cookie cutter bar you usually go to. Strong beer selection accompanied with a variety of classic american rock/spanish top 40- however, minus 1 star for it's sketch location. As long as you're being responsible and not an obnoxious drunk a*hole, I'm sure you'll be safe. I've witnessed two bar fights here, but that's not the bars fault. It's the crowd. Nights spent at moonlight are always casual and fun, and they change their beer selection often. I'm a fan of Lienekugel and Ballast Point. Two beers I can rarely find- but are always pleasant to have! I respect this place because of their options. Sometimes they even have complimentary spicy peanuts at the bar- that's nice :) Come here if you're local and want cheap delicious beer. It has a strong sports vibe and is your typical dive bar. Eh. Me and a couple of friends came here on a Sunday night. It looks like we came in at the wrong night because there was a birthday party and it was packed. There was only one barstool open so we had to share. I was pretty disappointed that this place only serves beer. I wanted a gin and tonic :( As for the music, the DJ was playing oldie dance music from the early 90s and the music videos look like they came straight out of youtube. I like the place, I don't expect much and that's what the Moonlight provides, I come in here either after work, after a long ride, or just to have a couple and hang out. Beers are cold, good selection, Bartenders treat us pretty good when we're there. Beer only, that's a bummer we always have someone that needs a Jack n Coke, once in awhile there's a kid outside asking for cash and getting insulted when you hand him some change it's funny to watch but nothing you really want happening to you. The owner chases him away, that's funny he hasn't been back. It's a cool place to come to a few and leave feelin the way you wanted to feel. 06/20/2018 @ 9pm Me and my coworkers decided to stop by for a 2nd chance and once again I was disappointed. First time it was 2 weeks ago and me and my 2 coworkers decided to stop for a cold one after work . Two men were sitting next to us and one of them started asking weird questions . Such as if we were heterosexual, if we were a couple (wtf) . Our reply was " hey man we don't want trouble " so we laughed it off . We joked about it and just came to terms that we had bad luck . Once again we stopped by and came with more coworkers (more money to Jose's business ) we were having a good time shooting pool and this guy WHO WE SAW GOING TO THE RESTROOM ROOM WITH ANOTHER GUY FOR 10 mins ( only one toilet) approached us and asked if we would continue playing. My reply was 3 more games since there was 6 of us . 1 game later this same guy approached one of us and grabbed him by the waist !!! My coworker replied by saying " hey man don't touch me " I told him hey man we don't want trouble . His response was " watch you will be out of here in 30 mins" he gets on the phone and calls the owner of the bar . The owner calls the bartender to ask what was going on . Nothing happens . So he starts making more calls and he shows up with 3 of his buddies saying " what did I tell you that you would be out of here in 30 mins " the bartender MONIQUE. Then gets in the middle and gets on the phone pretending to call the cops and tells us that if we don't leave she is going to tell them we have an AR15!!! Really who the hell does that ! Specially during this time in our society . So we left ! I didn't want to get shot by a cop by false accusations. I called the cops to make a report and they said " oh I wouldn't suggest going to that place" I had never felt so humiliated. I am putting money on the owners pocket and the stupid bartender threatened us that she told cops we had a high caliber rifle . SHAME !! We don't have anything against gay people but don't disrespect us. Please avoid this place!!! It's a nice little spot but it's not worth getting shot at by false accusations. This bar is typically empty. They do not serve liquor, their beer selection is standard. A few of us stopped by on a Thursday night. There may have been 10 people including my group of 4. The bartender Elaine was horrible! We sat at a table in the back. She did not acknowledge us whatsoever. The only way she came to our table was if we walked up to the bar where she stood all night; ON HER PHONE to ask for another round. Like mentioned before, their beer selection is standard. I asked her if she has corona premier. She looked at me like i was giving her my in n out order. She replied with an unsure "no" we stood for about 3 hrs or so. Nothing special about this place. Came in on a Thursday evening and there were only two or three other people. There is a digital jukebox so you can play your own music and a nice bathroom. Plus, the service is prompt and friendly. Downside is that the bar is rather small, and there is an excess of tables which makes getting around the bar difficult when it is more crowded. read more
