So I set up a 90 minute couple massage ..they set up the rooms separate which I didn't care for but I waited for my massage to start. I looked at masseuse which happened to be a elderly Asian lady. Hoping she was experienced, I was so wrong. Basically I paid 190 bucks for a lady to rub her forearm lightly on my back ribs for 90 minutes. I asked her to focus on the areas I wanted done but it was like she didn't understand my English. I sadly spent $85 on a terrible massage. The masseuse asked me what I wanted to target and I said shoulders and back. She proceeded to step on my back and put her full body weight on me and I could barely breathe. I was so stressed out and my back burns and aches today. She didn't touch my shoulders once and they are full of even more knots and stress from the extremely stressful massage. However, she is an esthetician and is not licensed for a full body massage, therefore services rendered in this establishment were illegal and inappropriate. We have licensing ordinances for the sake of public safety and I'm frustrated that Mara thinks she's above the realm of public wellbeing and legality. I called to make an appointment for deep tissue and was very specific. The lady with whom I spoke, Mara, told me an esthetician was available and I DECLINED TO SEE HER (after all, she's NOT A LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST) and she then booked me for a massage with "someone else". When I came in for my "massage", Mara was the only other employee there... and she also made racial remarks to me that were highly offensive and inappropriate. (She asked about the "dot" on my forehead. I'm half Indian, but she said I couldn't be because I'm too white.) BEST MASSAGE EVER! I just came here for a massage with A-one as my masseuse. He asked me where I had pain - told him my middle back and he found a bunch of knots in my arm pit that were the root of the issue. This place is not the typical cookie-cutter basic massage. He focused on the areas I needed (that I didn't even know were the problem). He said he's putting a note in his system for next time so he can continue to work on it for me. Came here for the 1st time today. I was debating between this place and another massage place and chose this one because it had decent reviews. I asked for Linda (b/c) of the good reviews she had, but she wasn't there today so I got Amy. I'll start out my saying the place was nice and clean. The receptionist was super sweet too. However, the massage was probably the worst I've had. I wasn't asked what I wanted from the beginning. She just started massaging and asked me if hard was ok. I said I wanted mild to medium. The first half of the massage was ok. But overall just don't feel it felt that good/relaxing. It felt pretty uncomfortable the whole time. I felt like she was also rubbing me really hard on certain parts of my body and also massaging sensitive parts that no other masseuse's have ever massaged in the past- like my kneecap and my ankle bones. The worst part of the massage was getting wiped down with a warm towel that was super dry and stuff. Felt like rug burn and just so odd to me. Usually the towel is wet not super dry and hard. It was just not a good massage and I hate writing a bad review because she was really nice. I just honestly feel like it was a waste of money. Maybe I'll try Linda next time. read more

My back was a knotted mess and he expertly balanced deep tissue massage with relaxing Swedish massage to keep it from ever becoming too uncomfortable or painful. But man oh man, he went to work on those knots! Sometimes it's hard for me to actually relax but they made me feel so comfortable right away the masseuse was very nice her name is Mara (request her) she spoke very light, and was very attentive to what I liked or responded to and paid extra attention to the spots I told her were bothering me. After the massage I felt amazing! Honestly after that massage I feel like it improved my sleep, I have no lower back pain anymore, and my mood overall is much better(so my boyfriend thinks) lol . With spas, I like to go a few times before I give a review... consistency is important. The first time I went. OMG... ahhhhmazing. Was so good I did the 3 hour treatment, massage, body scrub and facial it was so amazing. My whole body from Head to toe was perfectly massaged, she used stones, stretched me...It was so spectacular that I purchased two treatments for family members for the three hour treatment as well. I went back again today but decided to only do the two hour treatment which consisted of the body massage and scrub - no facial. I said I wanted medium pressure but instead of a massage I got a rub. Perhaps that is what medium pressure is I don't know. The other disappointing part was I did not receive a full body massage they primarily did my back side for an hour and a half. No stomach, chest.... No rocks. I was hoping they would work out some major knots but I guess since I said medium. Then after the scrub I was to take a shower... couldn't turn the shower on. They came to turn it on but the water was FREEZING. I would have preferred they had the water on. Or better yet, just used the hot rag like they did on my back side. No consistency. I was also shorted 11 minutes. The last thing is the clock in the room is loud!!! I don't know why massage places have those loud ticking clocks. Hard to relax when all you hear is tic tock, tic tock...I am going to try another spa out... was disappointed that it wasn't like the first one... no comparison. Let's start with the pro's, our phone call was answered by a nice woman, who was able to book us same day. The waiting room is clean. Now the cons, we booked two combination massages for 6pm. We arrived early, and my husband was taken in right away at around 5:50. I was told my therapist was working on someone else, and to wait till 6p. I was only taken in around 6:15, nearly a half hour after my husband. The worst part is I asked for a combination massage. That was not what I received. Their menu only shows deep tissue as the other option, and I did not receive that either. What I received is best compared to a gentle oil rub. Not a massage. When I exited, and told the gentleman working the reception who just started his shift, he took down my name and phone number, and the name of the therapist, and promised to follow up with his mom (the owner? manager?) and call me back. It's best to book online, and easy to get an appointment. Go to the website, click on the staff member, then click on "About" and read about each person before booking. It will also list the hours they work, so its easy to figure out when to schedule your appointment. They are professional, safe, wear masks, the place is clean, and the prices are very reasonable. Be sure and communicate with your therapist - they like getting feedback about your expectations and needs. I suspect the bad reviews are the result of not communicating with the therapist before or during the massage. read more
